So basically CVs are the WoWS equivalent of WoT artillery :D Sitting in the back relatively safe punishing anyone who actually tries to play properly...with no possibility to actually make them work no matter the changes because of their core design which cant really be changed without destroying them. Well at least in here you can somewhat diminish their effectiveness with focus on AA defense. (At least thats what it seems to me with some study I did on consumables, commander skills etc.) No idea how well it actually works especially against torpedo bombers as I dont know from how far they can launch them to still be effective.

Dont worry, I know exactly how you feel. Me with many others tried for years over at WoT to explain to ppl why rushing tiers is a bad idea but it hardly ever works. These ppl just see their favourite RL machine like the Tiger, Centurion or whatever else and just want to drive and shoot it asap. I can sort of understand the want to play their favourite asap but I could never understand what they found fun on driving around like headless chickens for 2 minutes and then dying with 2-3 shots fired at best with no dmg done.

Thx will check that out. I actually never said I would buy the ships immediately and jump with T5+ ship right into battle. Sorry if it came across that way. I know from personal experience in WoT, (where I saw hundreds of new ppl with T8 prems having no idea what to do and pretty much be a dead weight in the game), that that's a really bad idea. I dont plan doing the same thing :D As I said I pretty just wanted to have a list of worth to buy ships for the future if the game interests me enough that I decide to play it long term and invest in it a bit.

Yep looking forward to trying something new and thx for the info. Probably will be a bit harder to learn and improve than with WoT though some stuff might be useful even here as I played that pretty much since it came out so not only players were worse and we were pretty much getting better together but there also wasnt so much stuff available since the start :D

I will surely do that. Did the same in WoT. Just thought that there would be no harm in having a list of ships which would be worth purchasing If I ever reached that point. So I can then just pick one or two from the list when I discover which class/nation/playstyle I prefer.

Hi, after playing WoT for years with some pauses and eventually quitting because of the state of the game I decided I could give WoWS a try. Been doing some research into various stuff related to the game and would like your opinion on premium ships up to 8 tier from each class which are worth purchasing. (maybe except carriers as their play-style doesnt seem to be something I would enjoy) (I would obviously not buy and play T8 right of the bat, not only because of supposedly crap MM which seems similar to WoT problem :D but because I would have no idea what to do with it at that tier + I would obviously be lacking commander skills etc. which I recon are pretty important at that point in the game) If this is anything like WoT then grinding money/training crew without the combination of premium account and premium vehicle/ship is pain in the [edited]and I dont mind some spending. After a brief look on the internet I found several which were often recommended so I would like your confirmation if they are indeed worth it. T5: Okhotnik T6: T-61, Warspite, someone even mentioned Molotov as it supposedly has good guns for its tier so it is able to reliably dmg even higher tier ships T7: Boise, Atlanta, Sims, Scharnhornst T8: Massachusetts, Tirpitz, Irian, Cossack, Kidd Also as each nation supposedly has a bit of a different play-style with their ships of the same class. (makes sense from historical point of view, also for diversity so each ship of the same class isnt the same) Could you provide me with a bit of an overview of what each class from each nation is generally good at (there will surely be exceptions but still) so I dont play them completely wrong from the start? :D Thx in advance for any bit of useful info you can give me :)
