i got the T5 and T6. basicly done all the directives and maybe 50% of the daily tokens.

Who wants to bet that they will have some sale shortly before that update from which you can buy lootboxes with a chance of coal in them?

CVs edit: just noticed the "and why"-part. because they ruin the basic principles on which the game was built (positioning/concealment/angling)

Furthermore T9 is usually a much more forgiving MM than T8 which gets thrown constantly into T10 games anyways

Atlanta needs a rather specific Captain to use it to its fullest, so i would reconsider that. I don't personally own the Wichita but its basicly a Baltimore and Baltimore is awesome.

Well, if you don't like the Nagato i'm not sure you will like the Amagi...Personally i really liked it. Great ship with hard-hitting guns.

I remember seeing a site on the net which listed the average WRs of all the servers and even ranked percentage-wise how good a certain WR was compared to the rest of the server (f.e. 55% WR was in the top 10% of the US server irc). WR is a bit of a tricky beast. My WR is pretty decent from T1-9 but crap at T10. Always confuses me bc u very often see T10 enemies with T9 or T8 ships. I guess one needs to carry harder at T10 and i fail to do that.

Absolutely. I guess the best idea of learning how to deal with that is making a CV-reroll-account to learn all the intricacies of the game :)

Yamato is fine, just not very exciting to play. I guess the low winrate of it is caused by being a BB with a citadel that can be consistently punished & the usual sailing habits of the average BB player.

I'll admit that my knowledge is a bit blurred in that regard, but T6 CVs can meet T5 ships, right? I'd consider T1-5 low-tier but i guess thats up to personal definition :)

I think it is a good idea to put even more CVs into low-tier games so new players will learn as early as possible how fun-enhancing CVs are to the game - i absolutely agree.

I don't know if you have already purchased a premium or are still looking for one, but i'd like to give another point of view on the Scharnhorst. People in this thread praised it a lot and it sure is a decent ship which is rather forgiving if you're making mistakes. I'd just like to point out that the guns on it are pretty useless once you get uptiered. You can't citadel any BB with them and german BB HE is absolutely pathetic in case someone decides to angle against you. Also they got the usual german accuracy which makes consistently hitting stuff pretty much impossible. Don't get me wrong, my stats in it are pretty decent but playing it feels more like work and less like fun. I guess if i had to suggest a premium ship atm, i'd probably suggest getting either the Massa or the Alabama. The latter is probably the weaker of the 2, but you don't need a dedicated captain to make it work. US BB gameplay in general is pretty much a very adaptable playstyle for other lines of BBs and both of them are great ships to learn the basics and the more advanced stuff. Downsides are that you will have a ton of T10 MM which will diminish the fun a lot. Overall, if i was you, i would play a bit more, try out some different lines and then buy a premium ship.

got the T6 today from non-premium containers. kinda hard to tell how many i opened..i'd guess in the 10-15ish range

i think the current model is fine. it is some sort of subscription model anyway - playing a WG game without premium is rather tough. i'm just afraid that they will go for the same business model as WoT has (they kinda started with that already): selling OP premiums (Defender) or putting the best ships only into the hands of the best players (Chieftain/Object 279(e)/Object 907(?)). of all the purchasable premium ships currently there are only a few which i would call straight up better than their silver counterparts. the Supercruisers are all OP on their own, but you can get these (with the exception of Kronshtad) for free exp as well.

the bundles with the 2 random ships are totally unattractive to me and i missed out on that 50% Hood - i might have bought that had i known early enough

this sale got "we dont give a [edited]" written all over it anyways. might as well stopped on a high note (with that epic 50% Krispy Kreme sale).

As i haven't any threads about it yet, some of my impressions of this Sprint. - With that amount of "safe" ranks, it felt kinda pointless tbh. I think anyone who plays 30-40 rounds will easily get to R1 no matter how bad he plays. - Balance in T7 is pretty out of whack. Probably worse than any other Tier. Ships like Belfast, Flint, Z-23 (Premium) or Sinop and Fiji (Silver) pretty much stomp over all other competitors. That'S why i would really appreciate some different Tier next time. - The level of gameplay was REALLY bad. It does not matter that much bc you usually fall soft (concerning stars), but boy..there were some special plays in the few rounds i've played

If this was a BB (Bismarck f.e.) i would agree, but going closer to a Republique in the Siegfried does not look like a great idea. As one said, this thing is pretty good for punishing broadsiding cruisers, but against angled BBs it kind of fails to do anything.

I can tell you that flamu wasn't exactly impressed by it. But i guess it's too early for any definitive verdicts. From what i have seen, there's just some stuff on it that can't be fixed by numbers (reload/sigma/concealment/DPM/etc) alone: - gun angles are pretty bad - torpedo angles are horrendous - German HE (they'd have to give it different shells than the other BBs using them). Even the AP shatters on Republique belt at 14km... - that semi-turtleback. They could remodel it or strenghten the numbers on it but i kinda doubt they will. I guess it will still outperform most of the "normal" T9 cruisers thanks to it being a Supercruiser (currently all 3 of them reign supreme in the WR/DMG department), but from what i've seen i will give it a hard pass.

I guess we agree to disagree then :) the moment someone starts to angle you can only rely on your mighty german HE. With all the other deficiencies this ship has, i fail to see how it will turn out good. The accuracy is pretty insane though, i will give you that.

captain needs to be damn good then, cause Siegfried surely is not
