You make a valid point. And yeh, those bots were lethal. Damn terminators I tell you! Didn't help that they only used HE IIRC so they allways hit and allways set you on fire!

Either there are a lot of people who are new to WG games or people are clueless. This is completely standard for any kind of X3 or X5 time weekend, hell the bigger the multiplier, the worst it gets. Why? Because all the bad players who have a hard time advancing normally come on and try to make as much as they can while they don't have to work a lot for it. It has been like that since the first multiplier weekend of WoT. The best way to survive the madness with you sanity intact? Simply not play during these weekends, or learn to accept it. There is sadly nothing else to do. These are just the times all the the belove average players come.

Remember when everyone said it's impossible to cheat?
SBS replied to _x_Acheron_x_'s topic in General Discussion
Agree. I would prefer if all these mods just stopped working, but it won't happen. I got no problem playing vanilla and do well, and if some guy has to use a mod to even be able to hit me, then that just shows how bad they are. Just makes it more satisfying when I end up wrecking their [edited]anyway. -
Well, the Iwaki is not that usefull, it is okay, but it doesn't really have anything that makes it stand out except the torps and smoke, and with that concealment torps aren't that usefull. The thing is, it is a cruiser that wants to be a destroyer. Also, most alpha testers have either left or play at the higher tiers. Still got mine and will never sell it, but I see no reason to play it when a St Louise can just wreck it, other than the odd time I want to brag and show it to the world

Considering that the post was remote, they are still messing around with it and want no official statement/rumors to come out at this time. But if they actually did this, I would be much more happy than I am now.

I actually agree. Also, this could have some other benefits as it allows other to see what you do with your planes. This could work as a great way for new CV captains to learn what to do when they can better observe what more experienced captains. Other captains can maybe learn how to defend themselves against CV better, when they see how the planes are used.

Well, that is ofcourse probably a personal thing. I can handle it okay enough that it doesn't bother me that much. Sure it is annoying at times, like now that Oboro won't drop for a quest chain or the Compass at world 4-3 prevents me from beating B26. But it doesn't bother me that much, probably because the game isn't one that I fell I NEED to win this or that in order to gain something. It feels like it is just something you can take as you go. It ofcourse depend on what kind of person you are and how you treat the game. In any case, I don't really invest too much in the game nore take it too serious. Maybe that allows me to just not be bothered by it as much? Look at it on the bright side, this Event should be a small one. Probably won't stop the devs of finding some way to screw a lot of people over
-
To be quite honest, I more or less just use Kancolle as that stress relief game that I can turn my brain of play when ever I have had a poor streak in WoWs or something else. Only thing that I am actively trying to do right now is get Oboro so I can do the quest line for another flight deck. But then again, we all know it is the characters that make the game, not the gameplay

Well, let me guess. You are playing a DD? If so, you pay survivability for great firepower, stealth and speed. Also, if you get detonated, you get 10 flags meaning that the next 10 ranked battles you can't get detonated. Just do as I do, save those flags for ranked only. If you got detonated multiple times in a row, then it is your fault for not using the flags you are given. It is not a problem. Hell, this is the only way you can die, where you can reduce the chance of it happening in a battle by 100%.

Well, managed to Kai Ni both the dragons a few days ago as well as Abukuma. Also got both Tomonaga and Egusa quests done, so that is something ready for the event. Still, can't complete that damn B26 quest. The branching on 4-3 is just so RNG. How are you guys with preparations for the event?

I got to admit. The changes look very promising. No idea how it will be to actually play with them. I am super happy to here that we are getting rebalanced planes and AA, should make that part of the game more fun. Also, really hope we see more historical planes (Where the hell was the hellcat?) and less of planes like the japanese pusher J7W. Sure, they are awsome planes but not really carrier aircraft IIRC. I am generally very happy for the skill changes as they seem really good. With regards to the skill: Manual fire control for secondary armament. I am assuming this means that they will no longer auto fire and that we have to do assign targets outselves, but in return we get a big accuracy improvement. I can see this be very usefull with dealing with DD that get within that range, at least it will be a great help, considering most people assign a target for their secondaries annyway. But I do have a question here: What if you got targets on both sides of you? If you can only assign 1 as targets does this mean that secondary guns on side will fire while those on the other side won't? Only thing I am not sure about is the changes that will affect japanese torpedoes. A skill that reduces range but incrieses speed could in a way make it harder to avoid torps but make it a lot easier for cruisers and other destroyers to counter japanese destroyers, by forcing them to get closer. In any case, good work

Damn it so tempted to buy it, but they sell it at the start of the semester where I need money for books and other stuff. Will have to see in the coming days, depending on how much money I got left I will buy it. In any case, just wanted to let WG know how happy I am to see this. Great work

rumor: BFT and AFT nerfs are comming with 0.5.3
SBS replied to havaduck's topic in General Discussion
True, they could use a buff of some kind. But I am not sure if main armament range bonus is the best. Sure this could maybe help them fight BB at a range where the BB has a harder time to fight them, but I can't see how hitting a DD at longer range is any easier, especially considering most DD at that tier or higher are invisible most of the time. If anything they should have a buff that helps them detect and counter DD and planes. They should not really fight BB, sure something that helps them survive long enough to actually kill the DD and not get citadeled instantly could help. But still, not sure if that bonus range to 155mm was the right thing. -
Just here to complain about the Ars Nova missions
SBS replied to Sorata_'s topic in General Discussion
I got no problems with all of this. Did the Kongo mission with no difficulties and I am now stuck on the Myoko fire mission with around 50 fires set. Not because it is difficult, but because I got to do exams first. I imagine I can breeze through the last later. Basicly with these missions it simply comes down to what ships you have most of the time and how gently the MM is with giving you DD and CA to shoot. -

This seems sort of good. Hopefully this will bring the Mogami more in line with the rest of the tier 8 cruisers. -
I have seen it, and I don't even know what to say And my god the grammar nazis are going to have a field day. At the lest you can get yamato at lvl 1. So, does this mean that Kancolle beats Kancolle? Edit: also it looks like the PV for the next season/movie is out. The music just does not fit with the scenes.
-
You are correct. Right now PVP it meant to introduce new people to the game and prevent them from getting stomped by more experienced players in PVP from the get go. PVE also serves as a place for people to test out new ships and get a feel for how they play, what their weaknesses and streangths are.

After reading this you ll never think same about IJN Katori and BB Iowa
SBS replied to D7v's topic in General Discussion
See no problem. It is war, and if you fight fair you are doing it wrong. War is not about honour, it is a bad thing that we should be avoided when ever possible. As long as you don't kill innocent civilians or prisoners of war and so on, then I got no problem with soldiers killing soldiers (would prefer nobody had to kill each other at all, but...). Still, as an Alpha tester I am happy to see Katori return. I wonder what it's combat potential will be. -
To be quite honest, most of the post that I have seen getting closed were because they either were discussing a subject that allready had a thread going, or the conversion went ofrail and into something completely unrelated. Alot of those seem to be because it turns in to people trash talking each other.

It will be interesting to see how they balance them, that is for sure. Afterall, USN cruisers for the most part don't have any torpedoes, so they will be less effective in night battle and have no ending torpedo strike. In any case, it will be nice to have some ships, but one thing is for sure. Either way it is going to piss a lot of people of, either because they don't live up to the hype, are too powerfull or not enough powerfull in some peoples exspectations or what ever. Personally I just hope that it will be a girl with nice art and personality, then I will be happy. Ofcourse, some decent combat potential would be nice too, so she won't just end up like another trophy ship.

Torpedos both from Destroyers and Planes are equally overpowered!

You know what I mean. The other Takeda! Fine I will edit my message. Probably should have thought about the name- 69 replies

SBS replied to TakedaYabu's topic in General Discussion
TakedaYabu. The problem seems to me that you are new to the game and doesn't fully know how to play the game. From what I can see you barely have that many matches and you haven't even touched any torpedo carring ships yet. To be quite honest, most people have trouble dealing with torpedoes at the beginning. Just look at videos from the start of release or open beta test, so many people fell victim to torpedoes cause they had no idea how to avoid them in the first place. Another important thing is ofcourse that at low tiers, torpedoes reload really fast, but they either have really low speed or low range, meaning that you should most of the time see the ship carrying torpedoes before he can shoot, or you should be able to reduce the damage if you just keep an eye out. At the mid and higher tiers things become very different. The best way for you to survive as a Battleship against torpedoes is simple: NEVER EVER sail in a straight line for too long. The closer you are to the enemy the more you have to constantly change direction and speed. Also, just because you see no ship around you, doesn't mean a destroyer isn't hiding out there, waiting to ambush you. If you see a destroyer or cruiser or other ship carrying torpedoes, ALLWAYS assume he allready has launched his torpedoes or soon will. Learning the torpedo range can of different ships around your tier can be a great help. If you see torpedo bombers in the air, IMMEDIATLY start to take evasive action, even if they are several Km aways, because they will be over you while you least expect it. As you get more experienced you can start to take more risks there. Try to get cruisers or friendly destroyers between you and the enemy. Spotted torpedoes will STAY SPOTTED, so if others can spot them before they get to you, it will make it a lot easier. At the end of the day, it mostly comes down to situational awareness. Look at the enemy team list. Do they have a destroyer alive? If so, is he spotted? For if he isn't he might be near you ready to attack. Look at the map, are there any islands the destroyer could hide behind? Then it might be a bad idea to go near it. Are you in a narrow channel with little room to evade? Then maybe you are in the wrong spot for a battleship unless you got an escort screen. Just keep asking yourself such questions and soon you should have a lot less problems. Keep fighting on and become better, battleships may seem weak early on, but you will end up with some of the most powerfull ships if you continue. Good luck- 69 replies

Could it be that your old progress was on a different server?

It is based on the damage. Depending on how much damage you do, a certain percentage will be taken from your income. You do a lot, a large percentage. You do a little bit a small percentage. It is to ensure that people will allways try to avoid friendly damage, regardless of if they have a premium or not.
