On the TS, all you have to do to get a tag is to PM is to poke one of the mods there. But yeh, this sounds like a case of maybe having played on another server or the wipe. Should be easy to figure out, just got to log on to the NA client.

Great work as allways.

The devs have allready confirmed that the first stage of the spring event will be to establish a land based airbase. That is allso why we got new landing forces a little while ago. How the land based planes will work has not been said. Will the airfield be like a shipgirl itself like the abyssals? Will it be used like support expeditions? Who knows.

Well, the ranking rewards are out and it looks like G3M and G4M bombers were given out along with quad 40mm Bofors. The bombers have both torpedo and dive bombing stats. The Bofors have: 10 AA, 1 FP, 1 armor, 1 accuracy and 2 evasion. Not sure if this will actually even make them usefull, but you never know. Might just end up not getting used like all the other AA guns.

Oh yes, the 4koma pretty much runs wild with any jokes it can get away with. Even more so if it has a historical reason.
-
Who says you can't? It is not like Kancolle players allready do that allready, I think there was talk of something some time ago where Optimus Prime was an admiral

Yes, completely. CV play is full of bugs, it's a wonder it works half the time. I even had a bug with the langley some weeks ago where my fighters would just go in circle after starting a strafing run. The run could not be aborted, nor would they fire. Just circle. However the replay is from the previous patch.

Bismarck is in the game, and he is not a she, but a she!

Basicly most high tier cruisers suffer, it is not just the mogami. And the AFT just meant that Mogami alone was good and, and that is not good for all other cruisers. Besides, if you complain about fighting BB, that is not what any CA should do, only if a BB can tank for you. Not that I think the current balance works, it's got too many problems, but the matter of fact is that AFT was not a solution.

To be fair, most of the american ships actually managed to open fire pretty quickly. It is just, all the battleships had really poor AA and the crews weren't well trained at it. Also, if we did this reenactment, all the BB on the US side would have to have stock hull. I cal dibs on being a japanese CV Edit: Just realised. How did I miss spell fair as fear?

Like Kiriseo said, KC3 kai or Kancolle Command Center for google chrome (can be gotten for free in google chrome store) will not translate things, but put an overlay on things like quest and give subtitle to the girls lines. But all the menus are not translated. However KC3 like all the other extensions out there uses extra windows to display things like your equiptment (with names and stats in english), gear, available quest and so on. But really, you only need 10-30 min to figure out what each button does, the game is not that complex. It is mostly when it comes to things like optimal fleet composition and loutouts for certain quests, map branchins and events, that it will become more difficult, especially for a new player. But this is not different from other games, where a new player has to learn what gear, loudouts, fleet compositions are the best for different tasks. In any case, the game is free to play and doesn't take that long to get in to (as far as I know, they got rid of the lottery), so you can allways just give it a try and see if you like it.

Which forum members have you seen in random battles?
SBS replied to Cobra6's topic in General Discussion
Was playing my Blysca some days ago, farming the 3000 hits for ARP Hiei, when I ran into Noobsplatter on my team in his Kamikaze. We ended up winning the battle with us chasing the CV at the end. Ofcourse Noobsplatter had to play with his prey, that bastard -
There were pretty bif failures in real life anyway. But if WG can somehow, sometime in the future manage to introduce aviations cruisers and battleships, we could maybe see some interesting gameplay from the.

Well, I like my Clemson a hell of a lot. The key to it is really using islands (if you get Ocean map you are fucked) and luckily most maps have lot's of islands at that tier. It basicly brings a knife to a gunfight. The clemson is also at killing other DD's but not because of it's guns, but it's torps. Remember you got torps on both sides. Do not upgrade the torps, yes you get 500 meter longer range, but that is so little it is no worth the incriese in reload time.

Excellent work LWM. I love the stuff you do and hope you will continue to on the EU forum once in a while as well.

We all know that they are testing some 20% reduction of high tier repairs, so they are working on the economy. How far they will take changes, nobody knows. And with regards to PVE, this is where they will put Historical Battles, as they can easily have bots play as the cannon fodder DD's, escorts, low tier/old obsolete and what not, while players play the core ships.
-
And that is exactly my point, subs are a hit and run type of deal if they even can get in position the first time, not allways likely against warships, unlike with merchant ships. But then again, half the fun for me in those sub games were to do that perfect sneak run up to an unsuspecting convoy/task force, past the destroyers and then unleash my torpedoes and then have to try and escape past the angry DD's. The silens hunter games are deffinetly really good if you get the right mods for more realism.

Well, Can not say that I am completely happy with Kawakaze Kai Ni art. She lost her belly and that smug grin. Also. They have really begun to buff a lot of ship girls. Not sure if it will make me use Hyuuga and Ise more though, but it's at least nice to them get buffed along with Mogami sisters.
-
Well, deffinetly would like better micromanagement for CV squadrons as well as getting rid of dead zones, where you can't click when in map view as a CV.
-
Oh right, that thing. Completely forgot about it. Well, I see it soo little and don't have, so can't comment. But it still stands, tier 4 BB are not so bad off if the player just keeps their eyes open. If nothing else, just buy a Wyoming and wreck stuff, or as I said earlier, the ever too powerfull Emperor when it comes back in shop.
-
Well, I think this is opening a can of worms, but here is my opinion for the hell of it. I, personally, agree with you. I have an easier time playing BB because my micromanegement is the greatest, reason why I won't go for tier 9 and 10 IJN CV. I also find that the whole captain skills (having the 5th tier skill or not) can drastically change if you get an easy CV oponent or not. With regards to BB's I get plenty of time to plan due to their slow speed, I can easily delete enemeis due to them showing broadsides (a lot of people still do it) and the armor/HP gives leaves room for error. Something I do not have in a cruiser, I make a mistake I can easily die in seconds. Ofcourse this does not nessecary mean that BB are the easiest. I am REALLY bad at aiming with BB at anything above 10km range, I just suck at predicting speeds and aiming distance, and the RNG doesn't help. Ofcourse this is personal for me, so it can vary widely with others. Basicly, this topic will get nowhere as it all depends on peoples different playstyles. Some people find CV hardest as they have trouble keep an overlook of the battlefield and mange all their squadrons as well as their CV. Some people find BB the hardest cause they don't have the situational awareness to point the guns in the right direction before they are needed or spot torpedoes/bombers before they are on top of you. It all comes down to individual preferrences and playstyle.

WG did not shoot themselves in the leg as it was not their intention to add subs. And if they want to, they can find a way in the future. But the simple matter of fact is that subs is not what they were going for. Also, subs rarely served direct frontline combat roles and would not fit anyway, even in a historical sense. And people should not point to battlestations pacific for it. In the multiplayer of that game, nobody used subs as they were just not competetive enough. Hell PT boats could deliver torps better than subs could in that game, due to their lack of speed and that a single DD could block any sub play. And the campaign, well that is the campaign. Missions can be designed with specific enemies and goals to suit subs, so... And as allways, I will point towards Silen Hunter as excellent sub games. Sorry, but I do not see how any game like WoWs could ever do them justice.

The reason soo many people play tier 4 CV is that the planes are slow, got few squadrons and such are easy to use by people who are not good at micro management. Then there is also the fact that tier 4 or 5 is where most people play CV before they figure out the class is either too hard for them or just not there style and they go back to other classes. This means that there are naturally more CV players at low tiers. Also, the Wyoming has decent enough AA to defend itself if you know how to evade. If you are talking about tier 4 premium BB, all I can think of is Emperor and Arkensaw, but as you are not a beta tester I can exclude that one. The Emperor certainly does not need any AA as it is the most OP BB tier for tier in the game.

Considering the next update will give new torps to the Fubuki, Kagero and Shimakaze and the new torps on the Kage and Shima will have very different stats than their old ones, mainly in regards to range and speed. Now this presents a bit of a problem for those players, allready playing at tier 10 and 9, as those players are likely to have well trained captains, and a lot probably chose the captain skill, to trade torp range for more speed. Now this is not so bad currently, as 15km or even 20km leaves plenty of range to be traded for speed, however if these players in the future have to be able to really get the most out of the new 8km torps, they may have to change skills. These new changes to the torps can drastically change the usefullnes of this captain skill, maybe even make it more or less usefull with the 8km torps? It is my question, will players with tier 9 and 10 japanese DD's be able to retrain those captains for free? As some otherwise might have to pay 500 gold for each well trained captain, just to accomodate a balance change. Is it possible we could get this? What does the rest of you think?
