Accident can happen, that I was I feel an automated system (with warnings for first time offenders) is much better than just turning pink.

I actually saw yesterday 1 pink guys on our team. He was doing no team killing and actually playing to win (he said it was an accident, might be or not, but he did nothing bad in this game, so didn't care much). Then a Cleveland on our team decided to kill him (despite us telling him no to), he then turned pink himself. This ofcourse lead to a Fuso killing him also turning pink in the process. I don't see the whole turning pink works, it just makes things worse as it invites more team killing as people like to shoot pink guys, even if the guys is actually trying to play correctly this game. After all, with the amount of pink people, it obviously doesn't prevent people from doing team damage in the first place, I just think a better automated system to punish people (ofcourse provide proper warnigns first time in case i was an accident), will serve this game better. After all, us seeing a pink guy and knowing he did team damage serves little purpose, other than apparently make other on the team begin team killing him.

Such mods that provide any form of aim assist are not allowed. There were some at one point, but they are no longer available, and you can get banned for using them (i believe). Also, if you can not guess, but from the responses of people here, you would hopefully figure out that most people hate those mods.

I agree. There are a heck of a lot of them lately. Something really needs to be done. I say more harsher outomatic system, like if you deal team damage you are givin an automatic warning, like a textbox that sayd next time you do team ban, you will automaticly be banned for 24 hours or so, for first ban. Any bans after that would continue to get longer. This would serve as a warning to people. Sure the occasional accident can happen, but if implemented right, it should still not be to harsh on those.

I am actually happy about this, it makes the othder DD's more usefull and might actually mean that 90% of all DD won't be IJN. We might actually start sing some USN and RU DD's. Also, this just means that you have to be more careful in what decision you make in the game and keep your eyes out for anything that could indicate problems. Even then, you should still have the range needed to do your work. 10km torps is plente when you got a concealment range of little over 6km. Besides 20km and so on still exist, it is not that you have to go suicidally close that is the big change. It was detection on those torps, which just means people will see them earlier, but if you are smart and put out the torp wall in the right place and with the right density, most larger CA and BB won't be able to dodge all and take a hit or two. And that is if they are awake, if they tunnel vision, well they usually tend to do. The nerf isn't that big. You just have to adapt the play style a little bit.- 133 replies

Check the date of the ship. This is no longer the Katori which will be awarded during the event. This is the old tier 1 back in the day. The one we get in the event is a tier 3 I believe and has additional AA and even torpedoes. So do no watch this video expecting this to be the ship you will get.

I am not entirely sure how interesting the battle would be to witness, as 90-95% was just moving trying to sneak around and when the battle happened it was a curp stomp battle Remember, the historical battles play nothing like the random battles. By the way, did you see the screenshots provided in the other thread?

Victory at sea is fine for what it does, but it has not been updated in about a year. The ai in game also leaves things to be desired as well as balance. Being able to buy 20 CV and roflstomp everything sort of ruins it a bit. Steel Ocean I can't stand, simply due to the aiming reticles and the way ships handle. BB simply tend to sit still and sniping from afar and most ships handle like go karts. It plays way to much like WoT in my opion, hell it might as well be WoT. It's balance also ain't that good, I tried to play CV (only treid first tier CV) and my planes died to most, and the aiming for planes was terrible. I also tried to play a DD and managed to find a lone sub and get on top of him, deapth charges didn't do a lot of damage, and due to go kart handling he somehow mangaed to turn around and close range nuke me with torps. And as I said, most BB just sit completely still, probably due to the aiming reticle as said, that seems to punish turning the ship or guns

Did he sell it once he got the Kamikaze? I know I did. Also, Umikaze takes spot for most OP ship in my opinion, dat reload

So basicly, you really are biased against the russians? Also, we can't have submarines, for many different reasons, if you want to know more about why, check the thread in the of topic subforum. If you want a short reason for why submarines can't be in the game, we got nothing under the water, seriously use free cam to check it out, it is literally empty So basicly, this entire thread is just a troll thread. Also, if those other games are so much better, why not go play them?

I think the missions are okay. The only ones I can see myself having problems beating are the 300 or 500 battles played. That might require more time than I have, but orthers might. -
I choose the last torpedoes. The 10km with 67 knts. The range is only really a problem if you run in to cruisers with radar, happens rarely from my experiences, and the speed really makes up for everything else.

Sorry, but I can only say that I ever have experience with Rogue Squadron 1, fantastic game. Loved using the cheat that gave me a Tie intercepter. What can I say, I love the empires ships

I am not really bothering trying to go hard on E5, E6 or E7 as I doubt I will have the time for it as well. Not to mention the new event in WoWs will put even more of a strain on available time. Oh why could a day not be longer?

I don't think it matters what the Katori was like, as I recall that they said they would re-introduce her with her historical loudout. So this means that she will probably have torps as well as better AA than she used to. -
How can you forget this day? Now, if only I wasn't so busy I would fish out my old copy of Tie Fighter and do the empire proud.

Well, I can say that my Atago and Blyskawica have seen great succes. can't comment on much else as I do not have much tier 8 My Shoukaku seems unaffected and my Fubuki is doing great with new 10km torps, as long as I don't derp into a cruiser with rader

I am deffinetly going for that Katori. I will have you back again Otherwise, getting port slots and flag for pearls is no bad deal. Also I can understand the lottery, they probably only have so many of the models and so on to give away. Weather it was best to give away in the event is another matter entirely. Great event WG -
It basicly comes down to learning when to shoot and at what range benefits you the most. Just staying at max range is not allways best. Just because you can shoot that long, doesn't mean you should. Just because you can see him doesn't mean you should, maybe waiting 4 sec for him to turn and show a weak broadside is better, maybe getting closer will reduce the spread a bit. Playing battleships is more about looking ahead and reading the map/game you are in, and figure out where and when you will be needed. Maybe Battleship playstyle doesn't suit what you want? There is a reason we got different classes and different nations with different playstyles. Also, Battleships is shortened for BB, BS could be short for something else entirely
