Ofcourse I didn't.... If I'd carried the team, we would've won It's "the "carry harder!" thread!", if you haven't noticed As the OP states: "when your team does their utmost to lose, you must carry harder!. share your grief. we are here to lessen the pain post your glorious defeats here." I really tried hard, unfortunately not hard enough.... It was a tough team

Reduce the view distance in the middle of the smoke.

Well, I guess it can be seen as indirect fire? Someone else can see the target, and directs the fire. More or less like a spotter in the artillery (howitzers) or a spotter plane.. Does that sound dumb? I do agree, it's annoying to be on the recieving and of it, not so much in a BB, cause it's just as I wrote, and annoyance, but as a CL/CA, the time it takes to get "out of it" really hurts. But so far, I see it as one of the more intriging parts of the game, and one you get used to take into account when sailing, both as a reciever, and a giver That's my opinion on the matter... I don't mind it, it makes the game fun. -
Granted, and sorry for being a bit rash in my preceding post In my defense I did read the OP, and the thread.... and I just ate icecream. Consider that the only way the game show a sinking, is a violent explosion.... not a ship listing, and rolling over, or slowly slipping beneath the waves after being slowed down and having sunk lower in the rear, or front, first.... that makes the sinking from ramming rather violent to watch. But generally, I don't mind the way it's done now... unless you put in a better damagesystem in general.

You KNOW how the collision part of the game works.... why do you come here and complain when YOU let the enemy get close enough to ram you? It an ingame tactic which is completely avoidable if you look at your minimap.... Here's a thing to consider, if your BB is doing 30 knots, and the enemy DD is doing 40 knots, and your going towards each other the combined speed is 70 knots and you'll be closing the gap at a bit more than 2.17 nm or appx. 4.11 km per minute. If you turn away the speed will be reduced to 10 knots, and the gap closed by 0.17 nm or appx 0.31 km per minute. It's a bit rough, since you'll bleed som speed in the turn and so on... It's a game, and it has a mechanic. The mechanic is from real life and dangerous as hell, but that's not the problem, the real problem is people not considering the tactic is there and enemy might use it to nail you. Do stop blaming the game, but learn the mechanics, and play to their strengths, instead of changing them to your gameplay. Oh, I don't mind the collisions in this game, gives an extra option when I want to show BB's the door

What was wrong with the ranges we have now? I see more long range battles with BB's sitting along the edges clipping CL/CA/DD's in the future, or at least trying... I'd rather they nerf the range of BB's, so you drag those bastards into the brawl where they belong.... or something
-
59 battles in total... 38 in BB's? No, wait a little longer, you'll get used to it

Is it a good Idea to remove Manual Atacks for low Tir CVs

Sealclubbing? Imperator Nikolai? Just saying........ -
Remove citadels from cruisers?

PETITION: leave all T+2 battles on entering...
Skurfa replied to R0551's topic in General Discussion
I suppose you need some kind of spread to keep people interrested in levelling up. (WG making money) If a larger spread was introduced, a smaller difference in power there need to be between tiers. -
Sims.... *sniff

Technically I suppose the MM could put together teams where the combined WR average of the players in a team matches the combined WR average of the other team? But I think it would be impractical, and lead to more waitingtime for games (and games will through the RNG end up ike that in the end anyway as it is now)
-
No more trolling Imperators then? That ship is downright broken, and it's so fun hunting them in CV's
-
Among ships, best winrate at tier 10 goes to DD's.... CV's are at the bottom. Best damage goes to CV's, but Midway is one torphit away from the Yamato and the Hakuryu a larger margin. Experience goes to a few cruisers/destroyers and even the Yamato before any CV. Only is their Kill/Death rating.... but that's a trademark when you can select your own targets amongst BBabies straying far from the battle, or thinking themselves indestructive in an Yamato, eventhough they know a CV is in the game??
-
My Atlanta says: Moar CV's!!! They never seem to be there when I bring her out BB's are overpowered! They can shoot at DD and CL/CA's without them having a chance to respond. At least CV's can punish BBabies hanging in the back not supporting the rest of the team.

Problem of friendly ships crashing on my tropidos due to their fault

Memememememe!! Hrm.. *clears throat* - Chinese player bought a Beta testers former account, considering the posts he has put in so far, and the fact he's hiding his stats.... How was I? -
"Sync-dropping", if that what it's called, is actually making all the scenarios a possibility anyway? I have yet to see a battle where two BB's sit in one corner exchanging secondary fire? And you can, and will, end up 2-3 divisions on one side in a battle with "sync-dropping". For the problem of divisions "having a tremendous impact", there are also divisions on the opposite team, and that would balance the "problem". Considering I just as often play solo, as in a division, I really don't see any difference in the setup, and have yet to experience the "tremendous impact". I do scout the field for divisions, and try to support those (or I've at least begun to) since they're often playing the game as a team (not always, but often), hoping to pick up a few lessons/wins. So I, with the miniscule experience I have, don't really think there's gonna be any problems in a different setup. (I guess we can play COOP, but that's boring as hell)

"Racism" covers a lot of things these days, making the word kinda "meh"...

What is wrong with playing against people of your own skill level? Do you enjoy roflstomp enemy teams with people below your level? Is your winratio really THAT important that you don't like a fair challenge? Okay, I'm just being an [edited]-hat, sorry about that. I'm an okay player, winning one and loosing one, so I don't have any reason not to like the current system. But considering people loosing two for every three games, I'm pretty sure they'd love a different MM where the opposition is a tad easier and they actually feel they're able to achieve something. Over time these people will continue playing, get better, and you'll get to see them eventually.... now you risk they just quit.... and the game dies (or WG change/ buff/nerf the game to hell)
-
Would be cool if we could make divisions of more than 3 players.... some of us actually have lives, and thereby more than 2 friends It really annoying when you sit 4 freinds and can only hope the MM will put you in the same battle if you press start at the same time... Or at least make us able to "connect" several divisions, so the MM puts them in the same battle, but on opposite teams, then I get to sink my friends

Reduce the view distance in the middle of the smoke.
Skurfa replied to Lt_Raptor's topic in General Discussion
Well, cruisers have a rather hard time against smoking cruisers as well. Nothing is more frustrating than closing on an RN cruiser, for them to pop smoke and pound the crapout of you. It's close to an "I win-button" cruisers in between. Two options, either stay the hell away from cruisers with smoke, or hope you can catch them close enough to use sonar/radar. Now we just need more DD's with sonar/radar to counter smoking cruisers CV's were supposed to counter BB's, but they're being nerfed for reasons unknown? Whether or not DD's are supposed to be THE counter to BB I'm not sure, but I see them, along with cruisers being quite effective if they're teaming up for it. -
Reduce the view distance in the middle of the smoke.
Skurfa replied to Lt_Raptor's topic in General Discussion
Lets see, some BB's have torps, they have sonar, they have radar.... wonder how long until one will pop up with smoke? And how long until one gets it all.... CV redo by the way? Anything besides removing manual torpedoing for lower tiers? -
Says who? BB drivers? There are as far as I know no rules implemented in the game, and the fact both parties getting fined for a collision actually implies it's the responsibility of each individual to try and prevent a collision. www.mar.ist.utl.pt/mventura/Projecto-Navios-I/IMO-Conventions%20(copies)/COLREG-1972.pdf It's IMO's COLREGS - International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea. Which I'm pretty sure those of us who actually have a boat/ship/vessel knows about Edit: Can't get the linky-thingy working in the reply-thingy
