If people like to play like that, it's up to them. Theres's no rules against other ways of playing the game, as long as they feel they're actively contributing to the teams effort. Noone says you cannot risk your DD in capping, try outrunning shells by sailing in a straight line in a CL, or punching through early game in a BB....

Whats the purpose of this? Credit farming?!

I..... honestly, I find most of it not fun anymore.... Used to like the lower tiers... but they’re ruined by carriers. Used to like high tiers.... but they’re ruined by strange decisions/overpowered ships. Used to like middle tiers.... but they’re ruined by both... Worst of all, it has become a battle of winning every match if possible.... so the stupid WR everyone seem so fixated on is ruining it as well. Though the WR thing is selfinduced.... and the frustration from loosing from stupid teams, is probably a reason I’ve quit playing. Even playing with friends does not help anymore.

Well, now wowp is integrated into the game as “cv’s”, next will probably be land based artillery from wot, and these will be able to one shoot everyone.

I’m honestly quite impressed.... you have more posts than battles....

What Were Your Greatest Gaming Achievements Today ?
Skurfa replied to Hanszeehock's topic in General Discussion
Just had a game in my thrustworthy Clemson. A fantastic little boat, with an ridicoulus amount of firepower considering the tier, and it's a DD... unfortunately no AA worth mentioning anymore, making CV games a "hide and seek" level of frustration. In this match we were, once again, thrown into a 2 vs. 2 CV game, plus all the other food that normally is there. Things started out okay, where I went a few cruisers and a DD was killed, and for some reason the entire team found it a good idea to abandon our base, going towards where I was, eventhough the other flank was lost, leaving the base open to a single enemy BB.... tried over and over again to draw attention to the open base, and get the CV's attention of the BB. Which was an non AA Wyoming that could have provided good food for the CV. I ended up going back to our base, simply because if you need something done in this maximum frustration stupidity of a game..... you just have to do it yourself. Once again, WoWs showed a frustrating level og players not watching what is going on, and noone ever engaged the Wyoming, so when he entered our base I though "screw it" and went head on towards him hoping to suicide torp him..... and I did, just for some reason he never turned his guns towards me, so relatively easy kill. In the meantime our team, which was leading when I left them, totally stupified and oblivious to teamwork, decided upon the most thrusted of all methods.... attacking an collected bunch of enemy ships.... one at a time..... and getting themselves killed.... one at a time.... good damn, this game is frustrating. Meanwhile I was able to sail straight towards their CV's, that both had hunked up behind an island, around their "base"´, not to awake suspision, and since the figthing was south of us, no aircraft launched would overfly me. Went straight into an torpedo attack from close range of both CV's..... and an cruiser that obviously was AFK... in the last 4 minutes of the game, sunk a Hosho, a Langley and said cruiser... effectively turning the game in our favour.... I did get killed by the last rocket attack from the Langley though.... The entire problem with this scenario is.... it was frustrating as hell all the way through.... -
I cannot find out if it’s the number of CV’s at low level that is rising, or a combination of falling BB/CL/DD population.... but right now you rarely get a game without 2 CV’s on each side, and ever so often you end up in qeue dumps with 3 CV’s a side and 3-4 other ships.... CV’s are overrepresented down there.... or so it seems.
-
I hate saying it. Low tier is ruined by an overabundance of CV’s nowadays.... and you learn nothing of tier VIII play in lower tiers anyways.... other than being crap upon again and again. In my opinion that is. No, stay in higher tiers where your AA actually kill aircraft, and CV’s aren’t as overrepresented. There you’ll also learn about all the tools available.

Remember to deselect your secondaries when getting near other players, otherwise you’ll be wasting your time in the gamemode. If everyone can go rounds without opening fire, everyone gain the most over time. Edit: On other players, even those on the other teams. There’s enough filth for everyone.

Chat is useless, so the chatban system works fine. Now implement a system where the other “reports” will burn off the recievers computer, and beat them with their keyboard before sticking the internet cable up their ..... eh..... nose and cancel their internet subscription.

DD roles vs actual incentive todo those roles
Skurfa replied to UncappingBadger's topic in General Discussion
No need excusing “kill stealing”, I keep seing “9 kill turnaround amazing” videoes on youtube where a handfull of the kills are “steals”. On the other hand, it looks like you got a decent team where most were pulling more or less equally? I would personally like a better reward for capturing points, and even better, an 80% line going through the map on each side, if you stay on your side of that, your xp is reduced, and an 120% line at the middle, cross that and everything done beyond that is rewarded more. -
How on earth do you end up below 40 percent?

How does a Shimakaze deal with a CV attack?
Skurfa replied to anonym_ED57N4NbHHsY's topic in General Discussion
Depends, a good CV player can counter that. At lower tiers you’ll more often than not, confirmation bias, see battles ending up with CV vs. CV.... so joyfull... But for the CV vs. DD..... just die.... if you’re one of the few ships left, and the CV knows his job, it can sometimes be way better just running to a corner and wait the fight out, and not give the other team points off your wreck. I actually have a solo warrior on that account (and that CV was really aggressive in searching for my tiny DD, knowing an easy kill could be had) It’s situaton dependant though. -
COOP battles.....

Well, if your stats are open, you’ll risk someone like Flamu looks at them and laughs at you online.... on the other hand, he’ll also do it if you have them closed off. Don’t think about stats, just enjoy the game, and hope they’ll implement a way off being able to punch through the internet and hit some of the worst teammates in their face, and crush their ships. But personally, I wouldn’t mind stats are readily visible when a game starts, it can be a planning tool... and extra considerations can be taken when positioning initially. Edit: Or is it Flambass? I do not recall.... it’s the one that shows off on the russian server.

Your secondaries cannot shoot straight ahead... I think.

Nah, it's good.... I can sail my BB..... shoot with one hand, drink beer with the other....

Agree, I rammed one tonight in my Roma, gave me a lot of damage

"Back to port" button - why does it exist?
Skurfa replied to ForlornSailor's topic in General Discussion
We could also go all the way.... People HAVE to watch the entire 15 minutes, no matter if they die or not.... That would encourage them to stay alive and contribute -

At least they fill up the queue for the next battle I suppose. -

I'm not sure I agree. If people find parts of the game unfun, they'll leave, button or no button. Fix the issues in game that causes the biggest frustration, then players will stay.- 99 replies

Who cares? You get them on your team 50 percent of the times, and another 50 percent they're on the other team.... It's not like they're gonna mess up your precious WR.
-
Not a good plan, we'd end up having too many examples of people getting sunk on purpose to "drown" the particular staff member.... On the other hand, if we can let off steam and frustration on WG staff ingame, maybe the forums would be more civil?
-
WR does not necessarily have something to do with survival rate? And you do not win by hiding... Okay, last statement is not entirely true, I have a few solo warrior badges from hiding Though you’d have to know when to hide.
