I can't speak for higher tiers in the current environment but at low/mid tiers CVs, at least the Japanese ones, are too strong in my opinion. Right now torps can be dropped almost on top of people and even if you prepare and start turning towards approaching bombers the good CV players will simply wait and circle you. As someone else wrote, if a good CV player wants you dead you are in for a world of pain. The low tier BBs also have laughable AA and the argument that teamplay and support from cruisers is meant to mitigate this is ludicrous. Teamplay in a Wargaming game? I'm constantly amazed at what some of the players I see are doing. I actually find it hard to believe that they are able to tie their own shoelaces and turn on their computers without assistance.
