    YOSHINO'S ARMOR

Funny enough. This is one of the Rare Cases where Randomness is Actually Realistic. Because in Reality there is Indeed an Increasing Chance of Ricochet the further Sloped/Angled an Armor Plate is. So Yes. I dont have any Qualms with that. In Theory Wargaming giving different Ricochet Angles is also not Wrong. Just that in Reality this would be Depending on the Ammo used. Older Solid Slug Ammo for example should Ricochet much easier than more Modern AP Shells etc. But thats a different Story and WG mostly uses it as a Gimmick so I doubt that will be Changed. What I have Qualms with is Purely the Idea that something would Warrant a Guaranteed Penetration Regardless of Circumstances or an Automatic Ricochet regardless of Circumstances :) Because that makes no Sense. In Reality. If the Yamato Fired from 10km away at a 19mm Armor Plate at 85 Degrees Angle the Shell would still be so Heavy and Powerful that it would Bend the Armorplate and thus not Ricochet. But at this Point the Armor in Reality would be Equal to something like 500-600mm of Steel Plating. And thus the Shell while Bending the Armor would still not be Guaranteed to Penetrate as it might just as well happen that the Shell either Starts Tumbling or gets Destroyed due to the Side of the Shell taking the Brunt of the Impact without the Tip Biting and thus the Fuse not going off. Meaning that its very likely that the Shell of the Yamato would either Shatter or Ricochet off. Or would Explode outside the Armor without causing any Notable Damage. However. Its not Impossible that the Armor being Bend results in the Tip Biting and having its Trajectory Changed to the Inside of the Ship instead. Likewise however if a Myoko with its 203mm Guns Fired from 2km Away at a Battleships 32mm Bow Armor from a 75 Degrees Angle. That Bow would in Reality still likely not reach the 300mm that it would need to Shatter an AP Shell from 20cm Guns. I would like to have a System that works with Gradient Lines rather than Preset Thresholds. This whole Bullcrab that 30mm Armor for some Reason is Automaticly Penetrated by a Shell that is Automaticly Bounced by 32mm Armor is Complete Horse**** to me.

    YOSHINO'S ARMOR

Yoshinos Armor is quite Horrendous in General. Not so much due to the 30mm Plating. That would be Quite fine. Even the 25mm Plating is somewhat Acceptable. Its mostly because your Citadel is so Incredible Exposed. Your Citadel is effectively an Inviting Target from any Angle if the Enemy Ship has Larger Guns. And your not even Tanky against 38cm Guns. But the thing is. The Ship as it is right now. Is mostly Aimed to Sit at long Range. That seems to be Wargamings Intention for it. Due to that it gets Super Long Range Torps and very Good Guns. And when Staying at Medium to Long Range. Its actually not that Weak. Because it can really dish out Damage Quite Well. Its just a Glass Cannon. High Damage Output but also Weak Damage Protection. So I dont think it needs an Armor Buff. Aside maybe the Bow and Stern being made 27mm to be in Line with General Supercruisers. But thats about it what I would consider useful. I think the General Armor System would Stand to have an Rework to be Honest. Warships Armor System is exceedingly Simplified which on some cases Massively Increases the Armor and on other Cases massively Decreases the Armor compared to Reality. The thing is. Because its so Simplified it ends up needing alot of Special Rules which then Complicate it again and thus make it Hard to use and very Unintuitive for Players. As well makng it Generally very Weird from a Realistic Viewpoint. I think they should do 3 things. 1. Remove Overmatch entirely. Most Players dont Understand it anyways. And its really just a Bad Mechanic overall which gives Unreasonable Power to Larger Caliber even when that Larger Caliber in Reality had less Penetration Power than Smaller Caliber Guns. 2. Remove Autobounce. This is another Mechanic most Players dont really Understand. And which is mostly just an Arbitrary Value that makes little Sense aside from giving Power to Ships that have certain Turret Angles etc. Only Autobounce removal. The Bounce Chance starting at different Angles is fine. 3. Use a Simplified but moe Realistic Leaning Penetration Mechanic. Right now we basicly go with the Line of Sight Armor Value. This means that Smaller Angles like 30 Degrees are almost entirely Ignored and even Larger Angles like 60 Degrees are more relying on the Bounce Chance than actually having a Big Increase in Armor. Because in Reality. A Cruisers Side Armor being Hit at 55 Degrees. Would actually be really hard to Penetrate. Because even if the Shell did not Bounce away due to Failing to Bite into the Armor. The Shell was Forced Away by the Angle thus not just getting an 1.9 Times Increase of Armor we got here but making the Armor work more around 4 Times of its actual Thickness as the Shell would Curve inside the Armor towards the Thinner Side which is Outside. Basicly Armor Angle Effect should be Doubled compared to now. So 30 Degrees should be 1.3 times instead of 1.15 Times. 40 Degrees should be 1.6 Times instead of 1.3 Times 50 Degrees should be 2.1 Times instead of 1.55 Times and 60 Degrees should be 4 Times instead of 2 Times. This would actually mean that when Firing at an Bow in Ship you Face 6-9 Times the Actual Armor Value. But you neither get Automatic Bounces nor Automatic Penetration. Therefore your Penetration will be much more Importand than your Shell Caliber. Most Battleships with good Penetration will actually get Penetrations on Enemy Bow in Battleships Bow. Because even with an 8 Times Increase the 32mm still wont Exceed the 400mm Penetration Power of the BBs Guns. However even Cruisers will Bounce some Shells from BBs on the Bow due to Random Bounce Chance and lack of Overmatch. Bowtanking would likely become much less Effective in General. While Diagonal Angling would become alot more Effective for all Classes. Another thing becoming much more effective for alles Classes would be to Maintain the Right Range. Being close enough for the Deck to Bounce Shells but far enough that the Belt Armor Bounces Shells. Thus making both Yoloing and Sniping less Effective. And Rewarding Players at Medium Ranges.

    mehr ARP 10er Schiffe

Nein.

    General CV related discussions.

Nope. Got no Idea who that is actually. Its the Same as with the Guy in the German Forum which on every Rocket Change Topic Announced that from now on he will just be useless and Farm BBs instead of Playing for a Win. I cant Help it. When People throw a Tantrum like Little Kids and make Statements like "Oh Yeah if you dont Change the Game to how I want it to be I will from now on Play Badly/Stop Playing/Tell Friends to not Play etc etc etc" I cant help but Informing them that the Door is right behind them and that it would be Nice if they could Close it behind them upon leaving ^^ These People never Actually leave anyways. They just think in their little Self Importand World that this Threat would Convince the Devs to Change things how they want.

Dont bother. He is Whining that DDs now actually have a Chance to Dodge Rockets. And doing the usual CV Player Threat that if they dont get Pampered to be Overpowered and can Kill any other Ship easily even when they themselves have no Skill or dont want to make any Effort at Learning. He will Leave the Game and not Play. How Dare WG not turning all other Ships into Food for CVs. Didnt they know that CVs in WW2 were Basicly the Knights in Shining Armor Slaughtering all other Ships like Filthy Peasant Militias left and right ? Of course a CV Player cant Possibly Play in such an Unhistorical Setting where other Ships are Actually allowed to Fight back against them.....

    The torpedo paradox

Feel Free to Ignore the Haters. Its a Good thing to Try and get Better and to Ask for Advice when you dont Understand why something isnt Working. In General you have to Consider that your not the only Human Player. Other Players are also Human. So they will know a Trick or Two as well. Many also have actual Experience in the Game due to Playing for quite some Time. Beyond that there is also Skills and Consumables that give you an Early Warning from Torps. Therefore there is several Possible Reasons due to which Players can Dodge Torps. 1. A Trick that Experienced Players know. Is that when you have the Skill Priority Target. You get a Warning when someone is Targeting you with their Main Battery Guns. This Warning however does not Count for Torpedo Launchers. So if you are being Targeted by One Person but Nobody is Shooting at You. And then Suddenly the Target Lock Dissappears and then a few Seconds Later comes back again. There is a Good Possibility that the Reason you got a Target Warning was that a Destroyer which was Aiming at you before. Has then Switched to his Torpedo Launchers to Drop Torps on You. And has then Returned to his Main Guns again. Thus creating the Short Gap in the Warning. As such when this Happens. Many Battleship Players will Alter their Course to make sure they are not in the Path of any Torps Launched at them. 2. Something many Players also dont Notice too much because many Players just consider the Skill Useless. Is the Skill Vigilance. Which Increases the Range at which you will See Torpedoes. This Skill gives you a bit more Early Warning against Torpedoes. And Especially Japanese Torpedoes have a Fairly low Concealment. Meaning they get Detected Fairly Far out. Which with this Skill Creates a Decent Chance to See them in time to Dodge them. 3. Hydroacoustic Search. A Consumable especially Found on Cruisers as well as German Battleships. Gives a very Large Warning Area against Torpedoes. Especially for Cruisers Allowing them Plenty of Time to Evade Torpedoes when the Consumable is Active. It only Runs for a Limited Time and has a Fairly long Cooldown. But while its Active. It makes Torpedo Attacks very Inefficient. As it effectively Doubles or even Triples the Range at which the Ship sees Incoming Torpedoes. 4. Then there is the Option that other Ships are in between You and the Enemy. Enemy Destroyers and Cruisers will often be inbetween You and the Enemy Battleships. And just like you. They have Good Concealment and thus wont be Spotted unless you get very Close before Dropping the Torps. As such it can often be that an Allied Destroyer Opened up your Torpedoes thus Informing his Battleship that there is Torpedoes Incoming on his Current Path. 5. Experience, Intuition and Situational Awareness. As Players Play the Game for Years. And Participate in Hundreds or even Thousands of Battles. They will over time get a Certain Feeling for the Games Timing. They Learn to Periodically Change Course so that any Torpedoes Launched at them from Further Away wont be Suddenly Appearing on their Broadside. They Learn where DDs Spawns are and Learn about certain Locations on the Map where DDs will often Drop Torpedoes towards. For example Spaces between Islands, Capture Points, Smokescreens or certain Islands on their Side of the Map which are Commonly used by Cruisers or BBs to hide behind in a Bow in Position etc etc. And they Learn to Pay attention to the Battlefield. If an Enemy DD was Spotted within Torpedo Range. If they are Spotted but none of the Enemy Ships that is Firing on them is Within their Concealment Range or if they Watched a Torpedo Salvo from a certain Direction a bit Earlier. They will be Wary of a Potential Destroyer being Close to them. And will therefore Randomly Change Course or Turn into or Away from the Location where they Suspect the Enemy Destroyer to make themselves a more Difficult Target. Ok. Now as to how you can Deal with that. Pls Note. I am a BB and CV Player. Not a DD Player. As such while I am very Aware on how to not get Hit by Incoming Torpedoes. I am not exactly an Expert as to how to Hit others with Torpedoes. As such my Advice is likely not the Best you.ll find. But I.ll try anyways. Experienced DD Players will often not Directly Aim for the Torpedo Prediction the Game gives you. Instead Expecting the Enemy Ship to make certain Moves and Aim for those Positions instead. Most commonly when Firing Torpedoes at a Longer Range. Many DD Players will Aim Shorter than the Torpedo Prediction as they will Expect the Enemy Ship to at least maneuver somewhat in the Time while the Torpedoes Travel there. Thus likely not getting as far as the Torpedo Aim Prediction is Expecting them too. As that would Require them to maintain Speed and Direction for the entire Time till the Torps Arrive. Which happens only Rarely. They will Fire Torps at Locations which they know Enemy Ships like to Hide at. Like Island Corners or Gaps between Islands etc. They will also Wait for an Enemy Ship to first Turn and Choose a New Direction so that the Torpedoes have the Largest Possible Time Window before the Enemy Changes Course again. They Pay Attention to the Battle. Thus Dropping Torpedoes into the Way of an Enemy Push when they Flank is Retreating and thus they know that the Enemy will want to Follow. They also will Counteract the things Stated above. For example. They will not Aim with their Main Guns at an Enemy Ship which they might want to Torpedo Later. So they dont give them the On Off Effect of Priority Tartget when actually Dropping Torps. They will also not Immediately Torp a Target they Spotted. Instead waiting for other Ships to also Close in. So its not entirely Obvious that they are the ones Spotting them. And they will try to Guess where the Enemy DDs are. If Torpedoes came out of the Direction of an Enemy Battleship they want to Torpedo. Then they will know that very likely between them and the Enemy Ship there is an Enemy DD which might Spot their Torpedoes before they Reach the Enemy Battleship. Thus maybe Choosing a Different Target. Likewise they know which Ships have Hydro and thus will be wary of Torping these Ships from Longer Ranges as they Know that if they Torp them from 10km away the Gaps between the Torpedoes will be easy to Evade for them due to the Hydro Warning them early. Furthermore they will Use the 2 Torpedo Launchers to Drop the Torpedoes with a Small Delay/Nudge to them. So that the 2nd Torpedo Set Runs inside the Gaps of the 1st Torpedo Set. Thus making Gaps Smaller and thus the Torps Harder to Dodge.
  10. gave it a 7 Which would basicly be an C+ or B- Grade. I think its a Pretty Good Game and I like Playing it. But there Clearly is Room for Improvement and there Certainly are things that I dont like.

    Attack plane nerf

Erm Mate. Not to Offend you. But many of us CV Players are actually here and we got no Problem Leading a DD and Hitting it. The DD doesnt have Plenty of Time. He has 4 Seconds. 4 Seconds is the Same Time he has to Evade Shells Fired from a Radarcruiser that is 8km away from him. Thats Bullcrab by the Way. CVs were actually Extremely Weak in Battle in Reality. So Weak in Fact. That if an Enemy Fleet knew of their Rough Location. They would Immediately Retreat in the other Direction at Full Speed. So them even Fighting in a Battle like in WoWs is actually Bullcrab Galore. As in Reality they would at best Order a Scramble and then Ditch all Fuel and Ammo on Deck into the Water to Turn around and Flee the Battlefield as fast as they can. Which is not Surprising. Because while in WoWs you can have Giant BB HE Shells Impacting your Deck and still Start Planes and cant get Detonated at all. In Reality a Single HE Shell Hitting the Flight Deck could mean you wont be Starting Aircraft for Days as the Runway is Damaged. And Carriers were Loaded to the Brim with Bombs and Fuel for Aircraft. So any Shell Penetrating the Storage Decks could Lead to a Catastrophic Inferno Engulfing the Ship and making it Impossible to Recover it. Furthermore. It was actually very Rare for Carriers to Intervene into an Ongoing Battle between Surface Ships. Because WW2 Aircraft up into the Later Cold War Area. Had very Limited Options of Properly Identifying the Ships they Attacked. As such in a Battle between 2 Fleets it was next to Impossible to Quickly Identify which Ship was Friendly and which Ship was Hostile. Thus in cases where Aircraft had been Send against Ships in Vicinity of Friendly Ships it actually often happened that Aircraft would Target the Allied Ships due to Failure in Identifying the Target. Which is why Aircraft Carriers Generally tried to Attack Enemy Ships and Fleets which were Far out from Friendly Fleets. The Reason why CVs in Reality became the Dominant Ship Class on Naval Warfare. Was not their Prowess in a Battle. But their Strategic Value as a Mobile Airfield. CVs Fought not in Battles. But instead Launched Recurring Attack Waves over a Timeframe of Days against Fleets that were up to several Hundred Kilometers away. Often Coordinating with other Carrier Fleets which then could Send Aircraft as well thanks to that Great Range and thus could Converge Attacks on Enemy Fleets that were Hundreds of Kilometers away from either Fleet while they were Hundreds of Kilometers Apart themselves. A Good Example of how CVs Fight. Is the Battle against the Yamato. Where 8 US Aircraft Carriers from 2 Different Carrier Fleets Launched 4 Attack Waves of Several Hundred Aircraft each against the Yamato and its Escorts over a Timeframe of about 2 Hours to Sink it. As Such. Yes DDs would in Reality not really get a Chance to Attack an Aircraft Carrier. Because in Reality if a CV got within 20km of any Hostile Ship that was effectively a Brown Alert Moment at which point the Escort of the CV would Engage the Enemy to Defeat it or Buy Time while the CV would Scramble whatever is on Deck and then Hightail it out of there as fast as he Could. Likewise however. CVs would never Participate in Battles. Meaning if you want to go with the Realism Argument. Then the only Logical Solution is to Remove CVs from the Game because they dont belong here.
  12. I see. Indeed that might be a Problem. For othher Ressources like Coal or Steel there is almost always some 20-40 Packages in between from which you then get 1-2 Points. But for RP I actually cant Recall any opportunities to get less than 200-400 Points at once.
  13. No. What he means is the last Digits of his RP. Basicly lets assume he Buys Stuff for a Total of 32700 Points. He would have 56 Left. At this Point he can Buy some of the Cheapest Flags and then he ends up on 6 Points Left. And these 6 Points cant Buy anything. This happens alot because the Clan Base basicly gives you Micro Amounts of Extra Ressources for each bit of Ressources you get. So he would basicly like to have an Option to do something with these Tiny Extra Amounts. For example. Buying 1 Flag instead of 10 Flags. There is Packages of 10 Flags which cost 10-20-40 Research Points. Meaning they could also Offer Single Flags for 1-2-4 Research Points. Now. My Personal Opinion is. That he can just keep the 6 Points. Because he will keep getting some Extra anyways. So he can Simply wait till he gets enough Extra that hes got Full 10 Points again. But thats just me. I would not Mind the Option to Buy Single Flags Certainly.
Also 49 statt 50% etc.

Jedoch sieht man sofort. Die Grüne Linie is verdammt weit weg. Die Blaue Linie ist ein Mittlerwert Inklusive der Extremen Schwankungen. Was halt kein besonders genaues Ergebnis gibt.

  20. Checking the Statements by the Guy. As well as the whole Stream Passage where this got Clipped from. For those who care. This is the Link to the Full thing with Timestamp. https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1086843959?t=1h34m0s To get the Full Statement you need to go back 1 Minute. So he Basicly Says that this is not the 100% Reason. Indicating however that this is one of the Reasons. So Yeah. Basicly he is Saying "Oh I will tell you the Reason but thats not the Entire Reason and it might not be the actual Reason why we did it. Its just one of the Reasons why we might have done it" Which Sorry. But thats just Bullcrab of Denying Responsibility for that Statement. Effectively the Statement means. This is a Potential Reason why this was Removed. And he doesnt want to tell us the Real Reason because of Reasons. Its a very Convenient Bullcrab Statement which basicly Says. Oh if you like this Reason then Great thats why we did it. If you dont like it. Then thats not the Reason and we certainly have a better reason. We are just not telling you about it. The only other thing he says in the Context. Is the Bigger Picture Rubbish. "" The Devs have a Bigger Picture of things. Meaning it might be about longterm game changes or economy reasons inside the game etc. "" This might be. But it tells us absolutely nothing about the Reason nor does it Justify the Change. The Devs having a Bigger Picture is. Nice. But if they dont share it then it can just as well not Exist. Because none of us can See this Bigger Picture. So if the Devs dont Share it. Then that Reason is meaningless and not Justifying the Change. Its basicly a Statement. Oh Yeah we know better then you. We wont tell you what we know and we wont explain why we changed this. So just believe us that our Changes are Certainly Correct and we certainly have Good Reasons for them but we wont tell em to you. Erm Yeah. Bullcrab. After that then Comes the Clip. And the Clip is Honestly said a Pretty wholesome Statement. And well. If Players throwing away their Ship to farm Deto Flag. (Aside from this behavior being Encouraged by WG as they dont Punish bad Play in General...) its a Problem that can be Fixed very easily by just already removing the Stupid Deto Mechanic. Because it really Adds absolutely nothing to the Game anyways aside from an Frustrating Event. Because do you know whats even more Frustrating than a Potato throwing away his Ship at the Start of the Match? An actually useful Player being FRIGGIN DETONATED by a Lucky Stray Shot or CV Attack at the Start of the Match....

    ST - 0.10.7 - New ships

We already got Tons of BCs in the Game all of which have 32mm Plating. But worse is. They really are not Good against anything. With only 70k HP on T10 and 27mm Plating. They are Fodder for HE Spamming Cruisers as well as for DDs. Because they are Simply not Maneuverable enough to really make much use of the Hydro to Dodge Torps and they also cant really go Close enough to use the Hydro offensively to actually Hunt DDs. Not to mention their Guns are just not useful against anything but Cruisers. Better Torps and better Speed and better Sigma would Help. But then the BB Designation would make even less Sense. In that case it would be more Logical to just Reclassify them as Cruisers instead. Because they are effectively Supercruisers like Siegfried at this Point. Which aint Surprising as Siegfried is a O-Project Battlecruiser.

Schon. Aber Ich weiß nicht was du da wirklich sagen willst. Ich meine. Alles was du sagst habe Ich bereits meine Meinung zu Kundgetan. Das is Einfach nichts was WG sonderlich häufig tut. Zudem.
