Well. We had almost a Day without WG puring more Fuel into that Dumpster Fire. So I guess it was about time someone at WG messed up. But if thats true its hilarios that they would Seriously Start yet another War by Banning Flamus Videos from the Forum and its also quite the Testament to how little they care by now.

Well frankly I cant blame him. Things were just finally calming down. And then the Higher Ups not only decided to pour a whole canister of gasoline into the Fire to Reignite it by throwing out an Employee which LWM has complimented several times over the course of this whole farce. But then Malik basicly went ahead and Declared everyone who dares critisizing his Game an Idiot and that he knows best so we should all just shut up. Now assuming that maybe he was already thinking about how to somehow diffuse that at least in the EU Forums. And also maybe prevent it from blowing up again. He today comes to the Forums and a Senior Manager basicly went ahead Confirming the Communities worst claims of WG only needing Sacrificial Pawn to throw under the Bus. Thus effectively throwing not just a Stick but a whole Bundle of Dynamite into the Dumpster Fire.... So Yeah. My Condolences to the Community Managers and Mods which just managed to get the Situation somewhat under control and now are basicly back to Step 1....

Oh bitte nicht Falsch verstehen. Ich behaupte nicht das du WG verteidigst. Das war oben schon offensichtlich. Und bitte nimm auch zur Kenntnis. Ich habe eine Vermutung geäußert und das auch so benannt. :) Jedoch muss Ich einem punkt korrigieren. Die Wahrheit und die andere Seite der Münze ist vollkommen unwichtig. Denn wie du schon sagst. Passt die eine Story wesentlich besser in das Bild der Community. Die Community wird also nicht abwarten oder Prüfen. Sobald WG Klage erhebt kannst du drauf wetten wird die Community noch höher auf den Baum klettern :)

Leider ist er aber meistens auch der Schnellste der nen Publikums Wirksamen kommentar abgibt. Der alte Jingles der meistens den Moderateren und Fairen kommentar macht wird wahrscheinlich nen paar tage dauern.

Ich nehme mal an das es eine ironische Frage ist. Nein das ist Leider nichts ungewöhnliches. Wenn etwas Großes Schiefgeht. Dann muss jemand Schuld sein. Und da die Chefs niemals Schuld sind muss dann in der Regel jemand in den unteren Rängen drann glauben. Auch das einer der Manager dann meistens Sauer ist das es einen Seiner Untergebenen erwischt hat ist aktuell garnicht so Selten. Denn nicht nur haben die unteren Manager Ränge häufig eine deutlich direktere beziehung zu ihren leuten sondern solche Aktionen bringen massive Unruhe ins gesamte Team und insbesondere in die Teams in denen das Bauernopfer aktiv war. Denn es macht jedem deutlich das ihr Job jederzeit ohne grund weg sein kann. Ich glaube Ehrlich gesagt nicht das Sie einen Kommentar geben könnten der nicht nur alles noch Schlimmer macht. Wenn sie Nachlegen gießen sie noch mehr Benzin ins Feuer. Wenn sie versuchen ne ausrede zu finden gießen sie noch mehr Benzin ins Feuer. Wenn sie ne Entschuldigung abgeben aber nicht beiden ihren Job zurueckgeben gießen sie noch mehr Benzin ins Feuer. Und wir wissen alle das eher die Hölle zufrieren wird als das sie ihre Entscheidung zurücknehmen und die beiden bitten wieder zurück zu kommen. Aktuell glaube Ich wird dieses Feuer ohnehin noch deutlich größer werden. Denn Ich vermute mal ganz Stark das WG wegen Bruchs der Nichtveröffentlichungspflicht von Firmeninternen Informationen Klage erheben wird. Das wiederum könnte nur abgeweht werden wenn der Senior Manager nachweisen kann das hier etwas Unrechtes (unrechtes von Rechtswegen her) passiert ist. Sprich das hat ne menge Potential noch ganz ganz dicke zu kommen.

Well. That Line of handling is unfortunately logical from WGs side. After all they Decided that the Error that happened was not that the Work of LWM was Ignored, But rather that someone asked LWM and Chobi to work with them in the First Place. Which means that WG will Blame whoever actually got LWM on Board claiming that he would have required Permission before doing that and never got it. Now. I do think that Story is Shaky of course. Because this kind of Project would certainly have some Oversight and Its hard to believe that they just took it as "Feedback" As someone would certainly have needed to Notice that the Work Produced is way beyond just Feedback. After all dont get me wrong. But the Scales between Feedback and actual Work towards the Project are different by factors of magnitude. Its not something that should go unnoticed to be honest. But Ultimately its Impossible for any Outsiders to Verify the Truth. After all. WGs Track Record of how much attention they Pay to Feedback in the First Place isnt exactly a Positive one. So I would not exclude the Option that they really tought it was Feedback because nobody of the Team ever even made the Effort of actually working through all of it. Which would also Explain how despite their "Feedback" it ended up entirely and utterly different from everything they wanted. After all. Even if we assume that the Team only considered it Feedback. That Feedback would have Run entirely Contrary to the Stuff they did. So if they paid it any Mind they would have made Changes to reflect that which they clearly did not. Well. TLDR. In Hindsight this was likely the Expectable Result considering WGs Earlier Statement of "Inducing Unwarranted Hope of Involvement and then Failing to Deliver on that" Ultimately WG will go with this Story that it was all due to an Independent Decision of an Employee which caused all of this by himself without Authorization from the higher Ups.

Well thats the thing. They dont see it that way. In Their Eyes they are just being dragged down by their Subordinates messing up and them being Responsible for that. People tend to Forget that. But alot in the World depends on the Viewpoint.

I am not Surprised to be Honest. This kind of Blamegame Outburst is unfortunately a fairly common Result when a Company Faces a Bigger Scandal or have otherwise managed to Agitate the Community enough to make the News. When Big things go Wrong in a Big Company what happens is that the Chain of Command is Reporting Failure Upwards. Small Scale Mistakes and Messups will only go to the Respective Level. They wont be Reported Upwards by the Guy handing out Punishment. But if Mistakes grow Big then even the Gigher Ups will have to tell their Higher ups what happened and get Scolded. Needless to say when a Situation grows so out of hand that the Directors of entire Sections or Studios get called in by the Company Owners, Partners, Shareholder whatever. They will be Pi**ed beyond anything. Directors are not used to being Berated and needing to Explain themselves. So they often go into Ragemode and will let their Frustration out on anyone below them and especially on whoever they deem responsible for them being (in their own eyes) humiliated by being treated like an underling that needs to be berated for his Actions and explain how he screwed up. It seems in this case the one Malik holds responsible if the Evil CCs and Community which dare Critisize his Creation. My Condolences to the Guys actually Working under Malik. Guess they have to be Pretty careful about what they Say or do right now. While this makes me a Bit Sad. It does however also make me a little Hopeful. Because if someone on this Level of Leadership took enough of a Beating that he went into Ragemode. Then it seems that the Highest Level of Wargaming was Reached with this Uproar and is likely not very Satisfied with how the Situation was handled.

I guess the Simple Answer is to just do it the Wargaming Way and make it more Random. Just make AA into Real Secondaries actually Shooting with Bad Accuracy and Aircraft actually having Hitboxes etc. Then Player Skill will become almost Irrelevant while AA Skills on the Commander will become Tremendously relevant as they would Buff Accuracy of AA etc.

Thats because Topics of Heated Discussion are often Lightly Moderated and will usually not be the Target of Moderation unless it really gets out of hand. Credit where Credit is Due. The Fact is that right Now the Forum Staff is Exceedingly Lenient in Moderation and trying to not make the Situation Worse and partially Allowing alot of Comments that would Normally be Deleted or Moderated. So at least on the Front of Allowing Criticism I think we should Cut them some Slack. If nothing else on that Front they are actually rather Cool for most Part. Trying to Allow People to Speak their Mind as far as Possible and sometimes further. TLDR We got more Importand Complaints to Throw at them right now.

There is no Big thing Riding on it. So I dont mind throwing Dice on that one. But seriously Pls stop having the Main Prices of Events being stuff where you Expect People to Gamble for. I am not even someone who cares for Money so Much. Frankly. 150 Euros for several Premium Ships Including Missouri. Would under Normal Circumstances not even have been something I would not Pay. I Paid way more just Buying the Biggest Package on Azur Lane Stuff in the Past. But that Gambling Rubbish has to Stop. This is not a Friggin Mobile Gacha Game where we Collect Waifus.

Thats the thing. You lookf for a few Seconds. You dont Check. I went to DFOs Online Shop and Saw Boxes. I Checked. The Box is a Package in which you can Choose Skins for a Character and Class. Its not Random what you get. You get a Specific Thematic Set based on your Choice. Thats not a Lootbox. Its a simple Bundle. Also. There is a Big Difference between Ingame Currency Gachas and you being able to Buy that Currency. Or there being Lootboxes Sold for Premium Currency. Imagine all Lootboxes WG Sold were available for Credits. Then you could Compare them to these Games. Not that it matters really. Because I already included these 2 anyways. Again Mate. Pls stop trying to Lie your Way out. I See. So Roulette in a Casino is not Gambling Right ? After all I can bet on all Numbers. Neither is it Gambling to Bet on Horse Races. But its bad for Business. Because then Kids which dont have Access to such Services cant Buy stuff anymore. Also its pretty Bad. Because while its true that Parents then are Responsible for these Purchases if they were made using their Card. They if they See them on the Billing of their Card will of course Refund them on the Regular Method and may even Prohibit their Kid from Playing this Game thats turning them into Gambling Addicts. You have now Switched to Arguing that we should just Stop Complaining and Leave the Game because our Protest has no effect anyways :) Which is by the way Factually Wrong. Because its pretty obvious that this Dumpster Fire and especially the Media Attention it Produces is not something WG wants to have. So apparently it does at least work to some Extend :) Except we dont have any Concessions. We have yet another Promise that Maybe we may get Concessions in a few Years. Something that happened several times in the Past and never Lead anywhere. So this Time we wont stop till we actually get the Concessions. :)

Thats the thing. They have not. In Fact alot of what they Said Proves that they are either not Listening at all. Or completely Refuse to Change. Because guess what. They in between made Announcements for the stuff to come soon. LOOTBOXES. Action Mate. Action is the only thing that will Quell the Anger. Unless WG Shows through Action that they are Serious. Nobody will Believe them. The Time to see if they follow through has Ended Years Ago Mate. That Analogy doesnt work here because I didnt Announce to Leave. So I never Cried Wolf. :) Neither did the CCs by the way. They either Explained right away that they only Leave the CC Program and thus WGs Censorship. They wont stop talking or covering WoWs. So they never Cried Wolf either. :) But more Importandly. The thing is. Active and Vocal Community Members and especially CCs just walking away has a very Limited effect on WG. Because there is enough Naive New Players around to Fill up the Ranks. From a Leverage Viewpoint. Staying Active, Making a Fuss that Creates Attention and thus Spreading the Word and putting Pressure on Wargaming through that as the New Players are Bombarded with Negative Feedback about Wargaming. Has much Bigger effect on WG and thus also a much bigger Chance to Succesfully Steer the Game back to the Direction where we Loved it. Thats Outright False. Sorry. Lets Check. Top 10 by Revenue. Pretty much all of which are Smartphone Games by the way lol Honour of Kings. = Nope. No Lootboxes. There is a Gacha Available for Ingame Currency. Which can in theory also be Bought for Cash. But the Primary way is actually to Earn it Ingame. Peacekeeper Elite which is the Chinese Version of PubG Mobile = Nope. No Lootboxes. Roblox which is not actually a Game itself. = Nope Free Fire = Yes to a Limited Extend as you can Buy Lootboxes for Gun Skins which also Provide Buffs so not purely Cosmetical. Pokemon Go = Nope. There is Real Money Bundles. But no Gambling Lootboxes. Boxes are Guaranteed Items instead. League of Legens = Yes there is apparently Lootboxes Sold for Premium Currency which Involves Skins and Skin Crafting. Candy Crush Saga = Nope AFk Arean = Nope. The Lootboxes are the Standard Gacha and Availabe from Ingame Currency. You can however Buy Ingame Currency or Vouchers to get additional Draws. Gardenscapes New Acres = Nope. Dungeon Fighters Online = Also Nope. Lets Count. Using Premium Gambling Lootboxes = 2 out of 10 Allowing to Buy the Regular Gacha for Premium Currency = 2 out of 10. Using Packages of Guaranteed Items and Direct Sales instead = 6 out of 10 Even if we are Generous. And Lump the Gachas in the same Pot as you can Buy the Standard Gacha Tickets for Real Money as well. Its still 6 to 4 Which means your Statement is Objectively False. Needless to Say. ALL OF THESE ARE MOBILE GAMES. lol Even the Example of Path of Exile you are Naming. is Using Lootbixes for Customizations and Skins...... Dont get me Wrong Mate. If World of Warships would decide that Camos would be Sold via Lootboxes I would not even mind so much. Especially as Path of Exile also allows Direct Purchase regardless. Talking about Futility. You are trying to Defend and Polish that Turd Wargaming left on the Desk. And should be well aware that nothing you say will Convince us to Stop. Yet you keep Doing it ? As for the Instant Gratification Argument. I would let that Count. If the Game was Rated R18 and had a Gambling Warning on it. Because then you could Claim that everyone coming to Play is an Adult Person that can be Expected to Understand the Risks and Psychological Influence exerted here. Even then it would still be a Shady Practice of course because its still trying to make People form a Gambling Habit and then Exploit their Addiction. But its not. Its Rated Pegi 7. You cannot expect Tennagers and Children to have that kind of Understanding. And No Lol. Because See thats the thing. There is an Alternative to Waiting. You can Gamble. And thats what Wargaming wants you to do. Because they know that People Gambling for Missouri will on Average give them way more Profits than just Selling it. Let me make a Small Observation Clear to You Mate. You have already Changed Stance from Claiming WG would be Good and we need to stop Fussing down to WG is doing Bad things but they Promised Change and we should give them a Chance. And you are about to Change your Stance downwards even further now to WG is doing Bad and your Protests are meaningless. I dont know why you are so Hellbent on Defending WG from the Community here. But frankly at this Point it should be quite Obvious to you that the Community has no Intention to just Take things in Silence anymore. Again Mate. Unless WG Shows through their Actions that they Intent to Change. The Community will not Stop Calling them out on every Single Opportunity Tenfold.

1. Then Spare me the "Leave or take what they give you" bullcrab ;) If I wanted to Leave I would do so. But I want the Situation to Improve so I complain instead. If I didnt care about the Game I would not bother making a fuss about it Mate. For that my Time is way too Valuable to a Shiftworker like me. 2. Thats Bullcrab by the way. Majority of F2P Games actually does not have Paid Lootboxes. Either only using them for stuff like Daily Rewards or actual Loot from Killing NPCs. Or even not using them at all. In Fact. If I think about it. The only Notable Games which use Lootboxes for Real Money Gambling are Games from a few Companies which thanks to it fell into heavy Criticism. Otherwise this Strategy is usually only used by Smallscale Games like Mobile Games. And even there its usually so that they simply Allow you to Buy Additional Chances at the Lootboxes which you can get Daily anyways etc. Games like Fallout 76 even removed them upon massive pressure from the community and became much more Succesful by doing so as it was Hailed by the Community. I Played alot of F2P Games. And frankly the only other Games I could Name where this kind of Mechanic is used would be Girls Frontline and Azur Lane which is both Mobile Gacha Games. However. In both you can get these very Premium Lootboxes for Free as well. And the Main Prize is mostly never even part of the Paid Lootboxes. Instead being an Direct Event Reward. So Frankly you usually wont really need to Spend any Money at all if you Play enough. And Man. It tells you ALOT when friggin Mobile Gacha Games are less reliant on Real Money Gambling than World of Warships lol So TLDR. I do not know even a Single other Game which Relies so Heavily on Gambling for Monetization as World of Warships. 3. No. The Pacific Chain is Time Gating the Missouri behind a Hassle so that basicly you either have to Gamble for it with the Lootboxes. Or Wait nearly 2 Weeks while Jumping through Hoops to get the Right to Purchase it. And even then you have to Purchase it for Real Money in the Shop and cant use Spare Doubloons for it without going through yet another Hassle of Contacting Customer Support. The Promise was that Missouri would be available for Purchase with Doubloons in Honor of the Historical Date of the 15th August or if you wanna go by Signage the 2nd September. We now got the 5 September. And guess what. I cant Buy Missouri. Because I cant actually even unlock the Purchase yet as I have to wait for the Time Gating so that more People are Coerced into Gambling for it instead. In my Book thats a Promise Broken Mate. And I can Guarantee you that the vast Majority of the Community Agrees. 4. Not sure how thats Difficult to understand really. I mean you asked me what they could do right away and I told you a few examples.

1. I want them to Change. I dont want them to be Destroyed. 2. With all due Respect Mate. If your getting Desperate and instead of answering the Points instead have to throw Taunts. Then its time to call it Quits as the Argument apparently wont be resolved in an Agreement. :) 3. I am giving them a Chance obviously. They can right away take several Actions that I would immediately Honor as them being Sincere. Just so far they are taking no such Action whatsoever. For example. They could have Offered Missouri as a Simple Purchase and Scratch the Gambling Event. I would have Cheered them right away because it would have been an Awesome Demonstration that they Actually listened. Even after Failing on that. They could still right away Open a Devblog Officially Announcing the Next Event which was Soviet Carriers I think. And make Clear that it will Contain absolutely No Gambling Lootboxes. Even that would still Count as an Action if its Done as Part of an Official Announcement for the Event. Because then its pretty hard for them to go back on it. Thing is. They dont. They are not taking any such Action right now. 4. See Above. By the way. Another thing they could do as fast as Next Week. Would be to Just Put Missouri into the Armory for Doubloons making it Available for Purchase with Doubloons for everyone as was Originally Promised. That as well would be a Gesture of Intention which would give at least some Weight to their Words. By now this is a bit Late of course. As they already pushed through with their Gambling Plan and thus its nowhere near as Powerful as if they had done it right away. But its still a Gesture of them at least Realizing that Change is needed and putting more behind it than meaningless words. Wanna know what they did instead ? They made a Devblog for the German BBs Release.

1. Reality unfortunately is that WG Promised Changes more than 3 Years ago already. Yet we are still waiting for them. Not to Offend you Mate. But its a bit like the Boy who kept Screaming "Wolves" even assuming WG is Serious this Time. You cant really Blame anyone for not Trusting it and making that Clear. 2. Not to Offend You. But there is quite alot of things they could do within less than a Week. Which would Instantly Earn them some Trust and Show they are Sincere in their Intentions. So far however they have Refused. Needing Weeks just to actually be Pressured into taking this Serious enough to even Promise Changes. 3. Well apparently its not. Because See thats the thing. People were Constructive for several Years. And WG didnt Listen to a Word they said. Now they are Rioting. And it took about 2 Weeks for WG to be Pressured into caring about it. So while certainly nowhere near as much as we would like to. It seems that throwing Wrenches into WGs Legs is an much more effective way to make them listen than to just Politely Ask them. 4. Not to Offend Ya Mate. But if you ask someone to Stop Smoking inside the Living Room. And he Says. Yeah Sure. I think I should Stop that too. I will work on it. And then not only doesnt put out his Cigarette or go outside. But the very next Day sits there Smoking again. Do you consider that "Agreeing" to Change something ? WG Agreed Yes. But thats just Words. While their Words Say they Care and Agree that they need to Change. They Continue doing the very same stuff. What the Community Wants. Is Actions Mate. Not Words. Words are no Longer enough to Fix this. We way too often were Placated with Words and then no Action ever came. This Time. We will Demand Action to be Taken First. Before we Consider being Placated.

1. If your Bar for not being a Scam or not being Dishonest. Is that its not the case unless you tell a directly Confirmable Lie. Then indeed. WG has not done this (at least on this Event as far as we can tell) Albeit they still Lied about it before the Event..... Thing is. Withholding Information, using Psyhcological Suggestions and being Misleading on Purpose. In my Book is enough to consider things a Scam and call Wargaming Dishonest. Deceiving someone does not forcibly require boldfaced Lies Mate. See Mate. My Mom this Money received a Call. Asking her about Covid stuff. Then at the end of the Call telling her that as Thanks she will receive a Newsletter for 4 Weeks free of Charge. Needless to say that I wasnt thrilled hearing that. Today we had the Letter in the Mail. Congratulating my Mother to her new Abonnoment of that Newsletter which needs to be cancelt 6 weeks in advance. Now. The Guy at the Telephone didnt tell a Single Lie. But I will still call him a Scammer :) And unlike WG he cant hide on an Island outside my Countries Jurisdiction. So you can bet that I will get him for it if he tries to pull even a Single Cent from my Mom. 2. LWM was a CC Mate. And Sorry. But Calling out WGs Deceit is not Qualifying as making a Scene. Speaking out the Truth is often not Pleasant for the one Called out. But its Necessary if we want to see any Change. 3. Possible. But Frankly. I have yet to see the CCs say something blatantly wrong without correcting themselves.

1. Except she said "In Battle Performance" which is not really related to Credit Earning Modifiers. 2. The Statement was part of the Announcement for that Event. So it was not some Age old Stream or something. 3. Thats not entirely True. Because the Fact remains that WG Promised that the old Missouri Owners would maintain their Earnings as before. Which was not Delivered. Instead now Wargaming Scrambling to at least make it as close as possible. Which is acknowledged as positive but is still a failure on their Promise. Newly Purchased Missouris do not get the Mission Chain. People getting Missouri now will only get Missouri without the Credits Buffs. Which means it would be absolutely no problem to add her to the Armory. Furthermore. It would be absolutely no Problem to just put a Token at the End of the Mission Chain and make that Token the Price for a Package you need to Buy before Unlocking the Missouri Package available for Doubloons. So even that Excuse wont Fly. Thats the thing Mate We have been here for a While. Wargaming very often Promises and Claims to be doing things. Yet they never Followed through with it. So right now we wont Trust them unless we See actual Action. Yet. So far we only See more Excuses and Empty Words. The Community Demanding actual Action is in no Way Unreasonable. In Fact. I would question Sanity and the Ability to Reason on Anyone who after all of this would be Willing to take Wargamings Word for things.

I made a quick analysis of the Event here. So frankly. There is more than just a few Problems with this Event. The Odds of the Lootboxes being a rather small part of it really. And in total it remains a Casino Style Tactic that Aims to promote Gambling habits. Which means the mere Fact that Wargaming refuses to call it Gambling is actually already making it a Scam in a sense. That Issue aside. They dont need to Lie or Scam with the Lootboxes. Their Statement was that the Chances are not Weighted. What they did not say is if that is the case on a per type basis or on an individual box basis. Because there is 5 Types of non Winner Boxes and 1 Winner Box. But there is 40 non Winner Boxes and 1 Winner Box. Which means if each Package Type has the same Chance to Appear the Missouri has a 1 out of 6 Chances. While for each Individual Box the Missouri drops to a 1 out of 41 Chance. I think we all Agree that its the 1 to 41 Chance really. As for your Accusation against LittleWhiteMouse and the other CCs that Left. Sorry. But on that Front I have to Harshly Shoot you down. WG right now is behaving really really bad. And they are right now Showing very little in terms of Sincere intention to Change their Ways. Effectively hiding behind the Fact that what they are doing is in a Grey Area of the Law and thus Technically not Illegal. But that doesnt mean it should not be called out. And right now it seems that Wargaming is absolutely Intent on not Listening to a Word the Community Says unless its Said in a massive Outrage. @LittleWhiteMouse Frankly. I dont think they will give Credits Individually. They said they will give an appropriate amount to all affected Players. So the more Likely Scenario is that they will give a Preset amount to each Player. That amount may be coming from an Average of the Missouri Games played by all Players combined before the Event. Or just could be a flat Sum of a few Million Credits. Even if they add an Individual Factor I dont think they will Invest any Big Work there. At most they will give a Flat Bonus based on the Number of Games each Player with Missouri Played. What worries me however is that they "will announce details later" this somehow suggest to me. That it could end up instead of a direct payment it could end up being a Time Limited Mission which gives a Bigger Credit Boost instead. That would fit Wargamings current behavior quite well unfortunately....

Publishing Drop Rates may very well become Mandatory in a few Years anyways. As it seems the Governments have noticed some thing sthere Alternatives to Gambling will likely be Unattractive by Timegating and other stuff they already Admitted. So. Free Stuff from the Event and a Missed Opportunity. We get 1750 Tokens from the Pacifik Missions. So we get the 1000 Token Container for Free. Which is a Free T2-4 Premium Ship. Not exactly a Relevant Price. But its a Nice Gift nonetheless. After that you got 750 Tokens Left. Which is a bit of a Waste of an Opportunity in my Eyes. If WG had given us 2500 Tokens total. (Thus us having 1500 Tokens left) It would have meant that you can Buy a T5 Premiumship for 1500 Doubloons As any of the Packages gives 500 Tokens and Costs 1500 Doubloons. This is Roughly a 50% Discount for a T5 Ship which otherwise doesnt Sell well anyways. So would have been a Good Chance for WG to Offer a Good Deal with Little to Complain about. With only 1750 Tokens. (Thus having 750 Tokens left) You unfortunately need to Buy 3 Packages. Which of course is a Complete Scam for a T5 Premium Ship. Because T5 Premiums usually Cost about 3000-3500 Doubloons. And 3 Packages would mean you need to Spend 4500 Doubloons. So just Buying a T5 Premium Ship Directly is actually more useful. Calculations for the Packages and Prize Value vs Cost Now then for the Packages itself. There is 41 Packages. 1 is Missouri which is worth 19400 Doubloons I think. (Feel Free to Correct me here. I am not sure about the odd Hundred Doubloons here. Only Remember it was 19k something.) So this one is outside the Box as even if it Costs 1500 Doubloons it Equals a much bigger Value. Which however is meaningless unless you got it as First Package. As otherwise its only Possible to Gamble for it and there no way to Guarantee any Benefit. The other 40 are each Costing 1500 Doubloons and give you 500 Tokens each. The Stages are 1000 (You get that for Free) 2000 (You need to get 1250 Tokens which is 3 Packages to get this) The Cost is therefore 4.500 Doubloons. You get Premiumships Worth Minimum 3.000 Doubloons and Maximum 3.400 Doubloons. 2750 (You need to get 4000 Tokens which is 8 Packages to get this) The Cost is therefore 12.000 Doubloons. You get Premiumships Worth Minimum 7.850 Doubloons and Maximum 10.700 Doubloons. 4250 (You need to get 8250 Tokens which is 17 Packages to get this) The Cost is therefore 25.500 Doubloons. You get Premiumships Worth Minimum 13.150 Doubloons and Maximum 20.800 Doubloons. 5000 (You need to get 13250 Tokens which is 27 Packages to get this) The Cost is therefore 40.500 Doubloons. You get Premiumships Worth Minimum 21.450 Doubloons and Maximum 34.800 Doubloons. That means if you got Missouri within the 27 other Packages. You would get a Total Value of Premiumships of between 40850 Doubloons and 54.200 Doubloons. For that you would have Paid the Price of 42.000 Doubloons. For each Package you of Course Pay 1500 Doubloons more. In Worst Case of Missouri being in Package 41. You would have instead Paid 61,500 Doubloons. Because if its the First. Then the Chance for the Missouri Package is very low and thus you are actually not likely to get it within the 27 Packages. Because your Chance to get it is 1 out of 41 on First Try. And gets better with each Try till at 27 Packages its effectively 1 out of 14 If it has the same Chance as the other Types of Packages however. You would Start at 1 out of 6 and it would Stay out of 6 for most of the Time. Maybe towards the 27th Package actually being Reduced to 1 out of 5. But for that you would need to be pretty Unlucky already. So Yeah. Lets be Real here. WG Gave it the 1 out of 41 chance. There is no way they gave the 1 out of 6 Chance that would make it Equally likely to Appear as the other Packages. Which means your Chances are that Missouri will Appear somewhere around 30 Packages. Guaranteeing that WG will in Average make More Money out of this than you would Pay if you Bought each Item Directly. Why is Wargaming doing this. Now for those who want a little extra Fun. There is a Reason to this Madness. This Reason is that Wargaming wants your Money. (Yeah I know. Shocker...) But no not that. I mean they really want as much Money from you as Possible (Yes Yes I know.....) Bah this is hard to Formulate well..... They want you to give them MORE Money than you would normally do. (Ok I give up. I.ll just get to the Point...) Basicly the Trick is. That these Containers in themselves are not actually a Price. You cannot possibly get more Value out of the Containers than you Spend. Even if you Rolled the Highest Ship on each Container. You would still always Run at a Loss. The only Prize in this Lottery is Missouri. Because only getting Missouri out of that 1 to 41 Chance will Allow you to get a Positive Value. The Containers. Are a Consolation Prize. Their Purpose is to Provide you a Fallback. Like most Repeating Lotteries. For you to not Realize just how Bad you are Losing Money. Most Casinos will give you Fallback Prizes. Free Drinks, Vouchers for Spending the Night and maybe a Bunny Girl Escorting Serving you that Drink. (And even some R18 stuff in some less reputable Casinos) After all. They dont want you to Realize that you Already lost. They want you to keep Gambling. So they give you back part of what you lost. So you can say to yourself. (Oh but I had already lost more before. I guess I can at least Gamble further to the Same loss again) Of course thats not really True. Because the Casino only Sold you something which they give that Value you Paid some. But hey there is another Consolation there. Might just as well at least get that one right. So 2 more Packages it is and you are at the 27 Package line. 40k Doubloons Spend and Value of 22.-35k Doubloons received back. Awww come on. Lets just Buy the remaining 14 Packages as well. Then at least you are Guaranteed Missouri. And lets be Honest. At this Point getting these Packages basicly is just Buying Missouri Directly. Of course all of that is just Cheating yourself in your Head like a True Gambling Addict. Because you didnt actually get the Value Back. You just ended up Paying Wargaming 50k Doubloons for stuff that you could have Bought for 45k Doubloons. All to get something Worth 20k Doubloons. Meaning that you Spend 30k Doubloons you would not have Spend otherwise at all. And for Wargaming its a Great Deal. Because in a few cases. They even if you got a good Value out of it. Will have basicly Sold you 2-3 times what you would have normally bought at a small Discount. While in Average of course they Sold you 2-3 times what you would have normally bought at a higher Price lol. Greetz Sun. Ps. Yes you likely already noticed. But this is also why the passed on the Opportunity I mentioned Earlier. After all. If you got the Consolation Prizes too early. You would go out with a Positive Value. Which is a Natural Exit Point. A Point at which its Natural for your Brain to think "Oh I got a Good Deal. I should stop Gambling and take my Win" Which they of course Dont want you to have. Because then you would stop Gambling.
