Make the Map Border behave the same way as an Island.
Sunleader replied to Sunleader's topic in General Discussion
I cant tell why that would depend on the Ship Type. But the Fact is. They are Harder to Hit than Ships which Rammed each other or which Beached themselves or which are Forced to Show Broadside to Avoid such a Scenario. And that is the thing. Currently when you Reach the Border for whatever reason. The action of Ramming it. Is Favorable over the action of avoiding it. And this is wrong. It should not be the case. The Action of Ramming the Border should be the least Favorable Choice to make. Just like when your heading onto an Island and got the Choice to either Beach or Turn Broadside. Most People will Turn Broadside because Beaching means they are Stationary. You cant. Once someone is Humping the Border. You have no Indicator for his Movement Speed and even the Direction is extremely hard to tell depending on your own Relative Position to the Border. And well. If People were Forced to Turn out of the Border that would be Fine. I have no Trouble with People Ramming the Border by Accident and then Turning out of it again. Thing is. Some People Ram the Border Completely on Purpose and they do not Turn out of it. They keep using the Border to Maneuver into an direction favorable to them while staying completely angled to you. Well sometimes you dont have a Choice. Because People will on purpose stay close to the Border so they can hug it. I see this alot lately. A BB comes around the Flank. Close to the Border. Then upon being in range. Turns into the Border and and angles away from you. After that then using the Rudder to change the nose to allow its front guns to Fire and then angle back out. All without going forward but simply while sliding sideways on the Border and thus effectively having a Kiting Position with optimal evasion properties despite barely increasing the Distance and without offering the Option to the Enemy to Just turn around and go out of range unless the Enemy Turns as well and presents his broadside to start a Pursuit. . -
Not what I said. And Still Ignoring the Topic and the Facts. At this Point it is Obvious that you have no Intention to Discuss this and only want to Derail the Topic to Drown out the Discussion. I will therefore Proceed to Ignore you. Have a Nice Day.

Make the Map Border behave the same way as an Island.
Sunleader replied to Sunleader's topic in General Discussion
Sure. Because you always have time to Shoot him with low damage HE and he is not shooting back or anything. The Issue is that he can move in a way you cant tell from range. You cant tell his Speed or Direction accurately which makes him really hard to hit. And lol. No he isnt trapped at all. Its not like an island where he cant move anymore. He can constantly keep moving away without showing you a Broadside. Thats the Point you know. 1. Engine Power. Not Speed. Which means he will not just never stop. But also will take forever to actually slow down. 2. Which you cant estimate because you have no indicator for his Speed and he can change his direction almost instantly cause he just needs to tip his nose around.... 3. You get Rewarded. You are much harder to hit than if you beached or got forced to broadside by an Island. And lol. I never saw anyone forced to reverse from a border. They just keep driving till they can turn around without showing broadside or either party is dead. 4. It should act like one. Because engine power or not. It makes you harder to hit. Leaving the Battlefield should be punished. Not rewarded. -
I said Ships. Not Players. You are not a Ship lol 1. Players are not Ships. Players WR can fluctuate due to MM not influencing player skill. And Mate. You do Realize that you cant have 0.7 Sinops right. If you got 1.7 Sinops per Battle then you have 2 Sinops in 8 out of 10 Battles and NO Sinops in the last 1-2 Battles. 2. My CVs mostly do Damage. Because guess what. Damage Sinks Ships lol. 3. You cant even make a Difference between Ship WR and Player WR. So I dont think you understand what your talking about. 4. Like you for example. 5. Yes Really. A 2 Month Cutout wont change the Global Averages. Ships are not Balanced on Unicums. But also not on Noobs that dont know the Basics of the Game. Balancing Ships based on players that dont know how the Ship even works is rather meaningless. Also Your Avoiding the Fact that Russian BBs on T6 and above are still dominating in Global Stats. Stop trying to divert attention away from facts and topic pls.

Good. It seems a fairly obvious Majority is against Submarines in the Game. Which means that Submarines will be added by WG later this Year.

Make the Map Border behave the same way as an Island.
Sunleader replied to Sunleader's topic in General Discussion
Yeah after how lon does it do that and how much does it reduce the speed ? I had People Drive into Border for about 2 Minutes and still not getting stopped or slowed down enough to matter. And no Mate. The Problem is with Borderhugging. My Aim is Perfectly Fine. And that means something in my case as I play German BBs. As for being a CV Player. I am a BB Main. I only Started CVs two Months ago to prove they are overpowered and will allow any potato with half a Brain to perform well. Irrelevant. This Problem is a Problem and its easy to Fix. Pushing up Problems you can fix in 2 hours in favor of ones that you wont fix for the next 3 years anyways is stupid. He means Driving SIDEWAYS. This is quite common. People Nose into the Border at Full Speed. So they basicly Drive Sideways while the Nose is still Fully Aiming the Border. This is a Giant Advantage. Because if you were heading for an island you would have only two choices. Beach yourself. Or turn Broadside the Enemy. But on the Border you get Rewarded. Because you can just Keep yourself Completely Angled but still keep moving without presenting Broadside to the Enemy. -
CV population according to "spreadsheets"
Sunleader replied to ChatBanForSayingTruth's topic in General Discussion
Having a Friend along always Helps. Regardless of what class you are. -
I am for it. Adding Submarines might result in some new Gameplay Options. And currently almost all Games seem to Run the same course of lemming Train because CVs Force everyone to stay in Blob if they dont want to be abused and given animal names... So anything that can break up the Stalemate is welcome to me. Moreover. As a German Suffering from WGs Anti German Bias which results in German Ships being mostly the worst of their respective Tiers. The Submarines might be a Chance to get some Good German Ships for a Change. Of course Chances that WG just nerfs em into the Ground the moment they dare not being Bottom of the List are Big. But maybe at least for some time they will stay upper part of the List because WG wants to Sell them...

1. Oh which ones ?? The ones Talking about how Winrate is a good Measure of Skill of a Player ? I disagree with these as well. But I can understand that these are up for Discussion. At least a Player has effectively something around 8% Influence on a Match. But for a Ship this equation makes no Sense. Because the MM Loves to just Match a Sinop against a Sinop. Making the WinRatio completely Irrelevant. Its the same as back then when you guys Claimed in the CV Rework Topic that CVs Winratio is not Higher than that of Other Classes. Yes of course its not Higher than other Classes lol. The MM Stacks a CV against a CV so the WR is usually going to be close to 50% regardless of how Powerful a Class or Ship is. 2. Sure Mate. I always get Told this when I play CV. Focus the DD Focus the DD Spot the DD. Strangely enough I am winning alot with my CV and I dont Focus DD at all. Most of the Time I only Attack DDs if they are becoming a threat or if I stumble upon them. Needless to say. The Conqueror thanks to its Short Fused AP and High HE Damage is One of the Best BB to hunt DDs as well lol. But more Importandly. Its Short Fused AP is Great to Kill Cruisers.... 3. Yes. And I am telling you. The Statistics Say that the Russian BBs are Pretty much Top of the List almost everywhere. 4. Mate your not making anyone understand the Game better. Your trying to Argue for the sense of arguing and you make little sense. 5. Mate. In case you did not know that. The MM Usually Matches BBs against themselves whenever Possible. Same for other Classes. So Ships which are Publicly Available and thus present in large enough Numbers. Will always run around 49.x% Winratio. The only BBs which Deviate from this in a Larger Margin are the Promo, Steel, Coal etc Ships which are only Available in Small Numbers and thus usually cant be Matched against themselves thus getting Deviations in Winrate. 6. Actually I did mention that I checked up to T6 because I consider the Lower Tiers too Random and Irrelevant. But hey whatever Floats your Boat. 7. No its not. Its like Comparing the Efficiency of Weapons by having People with no Experience on Weapons test them. If the user of the Weapon has no idea how Weapons work. Then it makes little sense to compare them. Mostly because your trying to get away from the Facts of the Topic which is that the Stats mostly Show Russian BBs to be Quite Overperforming in almost all Areas. I disagree with Winrate being a Good Measure of Skill of a Player. But on this one can at least Argue. But for a Ship or Shipclass. WR is Meaningless thanks to the MM Balancing out Ships. When most Battles in T7 have a Sinop on each Team then the Sinop cannot have more than 50% WR. Which is why almost all Ships except the Limited Ones are 49.x% Winrate...

I just saw this was already cleared. But as the Person in Question I will answer it anyways. 1. Misunderstandling Mate. This Comment was Aimed at 0.8.0 to 0.8.4 Because People keep claiming that CVs are Unplayable as of 0.8.5 2. I started Playing CV because People here in 0.8.3 said they are not Overpowered and easy to Counter. So I started Playing CVs to see just how easy People Counter Me. Easy to See that up to this Say I have not been Countered. Being an Average and even Below Average Potato who is ever faster Heading to Unicum for CVs thanks to them being so Ridiculously Easy to Rule in. 3. No. I dont think People are Enjoying it at all lol. In case you didnt know. But just like Elazer. I think the Rework is Broken and should be Rolled back. I think you need to Read Properly before you get so Heated up :) I think Admitting is an massive Understatement. Given that I have been Propagating that CVs are Broken for like 2 Months now xD I was not Sarcastic ^^ You simply seem to have Misunderstood something. Because Guess what. Throughout this Topic. The Reason that I Started Playing CVs Seriously in 0.8.3 was to Back up what I said. And that I did quite Impressively if I might say so. ^^ this No Problem ^^ I am not a Native English Speaker. And for those who care. I learned English in a Game Named Tibia. Where our German Guild was Allied with a Brazilian Guild which lead to me Learning English in Chat with these Guys over time. Be Happy you only have to Read it. When I started my Apprenticeship as an Technician for Industrial Electronics. I had to Learn some Technical English. Which was gladly not a Problem cause I could easily Speak and Understand English. But in Germany they Teach British English. So my English Teacher always looked at me with a mix of Amusement and Admiration. Because while I had no Problem Understanding her even if she stayed completely on English for the Lesson. And would easily Understand any Instructions and Manuals in English. When I myself Spoke English she always told me I sound like a Latino Rapper from the USA xD

1. Lol. Sorry. But Winrate is entirely meaningless for Ships. The MM Tends to Stack the same Ship against itself. And as the Ships you meet can Vary Greatly. The Winrate does not tell you much on the Performance of a Ship unless the Difference is Fairly Big. Which is not the case here. 2. Damage and Kill Death Ratio are the most Meaningful Stats to Determine a Ships Power in Combat. Because its the Two Capabilities which are Telling you how the Ship Fares in Battle. 3. I merely Stated the Facts. I did not Quote you on any Statistics. And the Facts are that the Sinop is pretty much Top of the Stats in T7. 4. Then let me Answer in Kind. If you cant Accept that others have Complaints and Different Opinions then I think the Forums are not for you. I suggest you Quit. 5. The WR for these Games is entirely Irrelevant since both sides constantly had Ismails during the Event. And Mate no Offense. But 4 Games is by far enough to notice that the Ismails Guns tend to Dish out High Damage even from Bad Angles. Needless to say that the Global Statistics Confirm this quite nicely. 6. I only Talked about T6 to T10 BBs so whatever you Explained there is entirely Meaningless to me. 7. See Point 6. Low Tier is mostly meaningless. Skill levels are just too low as to get Accurate Stats. Because most People just dont understand Advantages and Disadvantages of their Ship.

As a Navyfield Player. I would be all for it. And as Someone Liking things a bit more Realistic. I would be in Favor of it even more. However. The only Classes really Hurt by this would be Destroyers and Carriers. Because Cruisers and Battleships Generally Carried more Ammunition than they could Possibly Fire in the 20 Minute Time WIndow of the Game anyways. Taking the Bismarck as Example. It was Supplied with 960 Shells for its Main Battery. It got 8 Guns so 120 Shells per Gun. In Reality its Reload was 18 Seconds under Optimal Conditions. So even in Reality it would have been able To Continuesly Fire for 36 Minutes under Optimal Conditions. Assuming Half HE and Half AP it would have been able to Fire HE for 18 Minutes non Stop and then AP for another 18 Minutes non Stop. So even with the Realistic Reload you would basicly need to Hold Down the Fire Button Constantly to even Deplete One of your Shell Types within 20 Minute Limit. In the Game however the Bismarcks Reload is Nerfed Hard to 26 Seconds per Shot. (I wonder why......) The Maximum Number of Salvos is 46 assuming you really Just Hold down the Fire Button from the Start of the Battle. But you got 60 Salvos of HE and 60 Salvos of AP Ammo in Stock. So even if you basicly never Stopped Shooting you would never even Manage to Deplete one Ammo Type. And Pls Note. The Bismarck was one of the Ships with Fairly Small Magazines for a Battleship. Having only 960 Shells Stored when your using Guns which can Fire 3 Rounds per Minute meant the Bismarck could Empty its Ammo Storages in 36 Minutes which is Extremely Fast Ammo Depletion for a Battleship. The Iowas Class whose Realistic Reload was 30 Seconds which it also Gets in the Game. Could Carry 1200 Shells for its Main Battery Guns. So you got over 130 Salvos of Ammunition. So the Iowa could Continuesly Fire for about 1 Hour and 20 Minutes before it would have Depleted its Ammo. In the Game Even with Reload Mod reducing the Reload to 26 Seconds you again come down to the 46 Salvos Maximum you can Fire in a Random Battle. Meaning even you held down the Fire Button. You would not even Manage to Deplete one Type of Ammo if they Introduced the Third Ammo Type and you took all 3 Along. For CVs such a Change would be Incredible Hard. Instead of Numbers like 120-150 Losses and sometimes even more on Enterprise and Kaga. You would come down to 70-90 Planes Total available. For DDs it would also be Harsh. The German 1936 Class carried 600 Shells for its Main Battery Guns. It had 5 Guns and in Good Conditions would Fire something between 12 and 15 Rounds per Minute. (Pls note. Just like Bismarck and Iowa. Training Conditions Fire Rate never Happens in Actual Combat of course) Now lets go with the Higher Estimate of 15 Rounds. We got 120 Shells. So 15 Rounds per Minute would mean that a Destroyer Could in Fact Deplete his whole Main Battery Ammo in 8 Minutes if he just Kept Firing. The Really Harsh part for DDs would be the Torpedoes. Because DDs in Reality only Carried 2-3 Sets of Torpedoes for their Tubes. German 1936 Class for example only Carried 1 Reload. Meaning it could only Fire 16 Torpedoes before it was Empty. (Each Launcher Twice) Japanese DDs later in the War at least had 3 Sets. A Kagero for example was Stocked with 16 Torpedoes early in the War and then got Stocked up to 24 later on. Meaning that Torpedoes would become an Extremely Limited Ammo.

1. I can look up the Stats myself. Thanks. And as for those Stats. Ismail is Top of the List for Average Damage, Average Kills, Average Experience. Which Speaks for itself.... 2. Mate no Offense. But you do Realize that even in this Chart where you Claim its the Weakest BB. It has the Highest Survival Rate and the Second Highest Average Damage only being behind the Steel Ship which is only available to very Experienced Players right. 3. Thats a Blatant Lie. I Quoted a Statement of yours. I did not Quote any Statistics you Posted in this Topic. 4. Oh so anyone who is not Agreeing with you is in the Wrong Game. Good to know. Not that I care about your opinion on what Games are right for me lol. 5. Unfortunately right now it isnt. I tested this myself. In an Ismail the Power of your Guns is Overwhelming and the Armor is very Forgiving. Meaning that I can be vastly less Skilled than my Counterparts and will still end up Winning. Simply because my BB is so much more Powerful. 6. No Explanation. No Reasoning. So let me Answer in Kind. Yes it is the Case. 7. Oh and Which one would that Be if I might Ask ? The Tier 3 ? I already Checked this last time. And from T6 to T10 the RU BBs are currently always a Cut above the other TechTree BBs.
-
1. There is a Difference between Facing a BB that is Stronger and a Facing a BB that is Overpowering. And a BB that is vastly Superior. Facing an Ismail when your a Bayern feels like your Facing a Yamato is a Bismarck. Just that both Bayern and Ismail are T6 while Bismarck vs Yamato is a T8 vs T10. 2. Conqueror was the most Overpowered BB before Kremlin came around. And has been 10% above all other BBs for quite some Time. And the Kremlin has moved up there Instantly. 3. Do you know which BB is at the Top of the List on T7 for well. Pretty much Everything ? Highest Number of Average Planes Shot Down, Highest Average Damage, Highest Average Winrate, Highest Experience Gain, Highest Amoung of Frags per Battle. The Only thing where the Sinop is not Top of the List. Is on the K/D Ratio where it is ONLY Second. You might not have Noticed that. But throughout the List. The only BBs Equaling the Soviet ones. Are not Techtree BBs but are the Limited Premiums, Steel and Coal Ships.... Your letting your Intentions Show there Mate. At least Try to Pretend that your not just Trolling around and want to have a Serious Discussion. 1. Wrong. Its not Ok to Face a Stronger BB which is Two Tiers Higher. Its a Fallacy in WGs System because they want you to Grind and get the Higher Tier BB yourself. 2. Wrong. It is Ok to Face a Stronger BB of the same Tier. When that BB is Stronger in some Parts and Weaker in others. And when that BB is only Stronger to a Minor Degree where Skill will have a Larger Impact than the Advantage. It is not Ok to Face a Stronger BB of the same Tier. When that BB is Stronger in nearly Everything and when that BB is Stronger to such a Degree that you will lose even if your the more Skilled Player unless your Skill level is Absurdly Higher. 3. Wrong. What is not Ok is when One Nation is Generally not only the Strongest in almost Everything but also is Generally so much Stronger that it Stop being a Contest of Skill. And Guess what. The Above things are Applying to Russian BBs right now. Russian BBs are Pretty much Top of the List almost everywhere. They are often Stronger in almost everything. And on top They are not just Stronger by a Small Margin. But are often Stronger by a Generous Amount.
-
Oh and being Bombed 3 times by the same Squadron as a Surface Ship because you didnt wait for 10 minutes at the start of the Battle before you closed in to actually have an Enemy in Range of your Guns is thrilling and fun I guess :)
-
No I am not going for the other T4 CVs just to Prove this Wrong :P
-
On that I disagree. I have been Playing the British T4 CV to reach T6 lately. Now I used Exp Camo and Signals as much as Possible and then just Free Exp to Finish it because the Gameplay was so Incredible Boring. (And also because I somehow felt really Guilty for Ruining the Game for New Players so much) So I only Played 12 Games. But for an Experienced CV Player the Hermes is an Awesome Sealclubbing Tool. Now the 40k Average Damage might Speak for Low Damage Potential. Which is True. The T4 CVs dont make alot of Damage. But their Ability to Finish off Priority Targets all over the very Small Maps. And their Ability to just Ruin the Day for the DDs which thanks to lack of Radar and the Short Range of BBs etc etc are usually very Strong in T4 is in a class of its own. So the T4 CVs are Extremely Game Deciding. The only Reason that they are Balanced. Is because in T4 most of the time you will have Newbes. People which half of the Time drop too close for the Torpedo to go Live. And otherwise miss you by Miles without any actual Action on your Part as the Target. Now Pls Note. I do consider T4 CVs Fine. Since at that Tier. Noobs wont Employ Tactics that I as an Somewhat Experienced CV Player can utilize. But they are clearly doing Meaningful Damage :)

Some People managed Red Stats on CVs in 0.8.0....
-
1. Secondaries are almost Irrelevant unless you have a 19 point Captain. And thats no Disadvantage. Its normal. 2. Bismarck and FdG are highly Maneuverable for BBs and have Acceleration that allows them to reach a Close Range and Operate at it. The GK is completely Different. Its a Giant Brick which will Generally be killed by Torpedoes if you even think about going close Range because it takes 3 hours to turn. Thats a Fact. You cannot play the GK as a Fast Maneuverable Brawler like you can with Bismarck and FdG
-
Simple. First off Everyone was so Annoyed by the CV Rework that the Overpowered Soviet BBs were Ignored. And well lets Face it. WG is a (Bela)Russian Company. And in case you dont know. In Russia there is this Law which gives Extra Funding to WW2 Games which Portray Russia """Historically Accurate""" as Truthfully Documented by Glorious Soviet Documents. And not as Documented by Capitalist Propaganda Papers of the remaining World. So everyone somehow knew from the Start that Soviet Ships just like Soviet Tanks in WoT. Will be at the Top of the list for most Part and will not come with any Bigger Disadvantages by Default as that might Anger their Russian Community which is as we all know the main Audience they care about. Its the same as German Ships Generally being somewhere around the Bottom in Performance. WG has Hated Germany in WoT already and it has not changed in WoWs either. So nobody Expected Germany to really do well in this Game. Its like a Law of Nature that in any WG Game the Soviet Stuff will be Easy to Play and come with Favorable Condition while German Stuff will be Hard to Play and come with Unfavorable Conditions. So nobody really Expected anything else and thus there is also no Big outrage about it.

Thats why I suggested to change CV Gameplay to be all about Planes. CV Should get a Limited Set of Planes with no Regeneration whatsoever. And the moment he no longer has at least 1 Full Attack Wing left his CV Should be taken over by a Bot which will Drive to the Closest Map Border and Leave the Battlefield. So the CVs Planes Really become his HP in a Sense. And Players Actually Understand their Planes as their HP in a CV. (it would also Fix the Complaint that a CV who got Deplaned just ends up Waiting for the Game to End)
-
This was about Midgame. And as you can tell from 45k Damage (Kremlin has 100k HP) I was not the only one Attacking it. So I am sure he lost some AA Mounts already. But I still lost 28 Planes to him. And I lost 24 to the Minotaur which I Double Citadelled pretty early in the Match and later Torpedoed because I wanted to Drive him out of his Smoke Screen. (He made the smarter choice and took the Torpedo instead of leaving the smoke albeit it didnt use much to him in the end as a Spotted Cruiser never Survives long) So 28 Planes Suggest that most of his AA was Still perfectly Fine. But you dont really need that to be the Case. You can do that with your Skills as well. The Most Importand thing on really Any Ship in this Game. Is to know your Enemy and use the Right Weapon for the Job. In case of the CV using the Right Plane I mean ^^ A Kremlin sure has Scary AA. But its AA is nowhere near Strong enough to Stop Torpedo Bombers from Dropping. And while the Kremlin has a Good Torpedo Bulge. Its Bow and Stern are not Covered by the Torpedo Bulge just like all other Ships. And even for Kremlin. Torpedo Damage is mostly Splashing the Citadel. So Torpedo Damage can most of the Time only be Repaired for 10% Now GZ Torps do about 4k Damage if you Hit Bow or Stern. And only 2.5k for a Hit on the Belt. I hit 12 Torps for 34k Damage (about 4k of that was the Torp that hit the Minotaur in the Smoke) So 30k Damage from 11 Torpedoes. You can Tell Fairly easily that I attacked the Kremlin almost Purely with Torpedo Bombers. Average Damage of 2.7k per Torpedo tells you. I mostly hit the Bulge Armor with a few Hits on Bow and Stern :) The other 15k are from Rockets and Fires. Because even if Kremlin only has 1 Minute Cooldown on its Damage Control. It is still one Minute Cooldown :) So as soon as I managed to set a Flooding I started my Rocket Planes. And Tried to Set a Fire on Him by Pummeling his Deck with Rockets. Didnt do much Direct Damage. But it does have a High Chance to Set a Fire. And since Fires Deal Damage based on Percentage of HP even the 30-40 Seconds of a Fire Burning due to not having Damage Control will Hurt a Kremlin Because these 30-40 Seconds are still about 10-15% of its HP Worth of Fire Damage. Which in case of the Kremlin means 10-15k Damage. Now you could Bother Calculating how long he was Forced to let the Fire Burn exactly to do the 13.5k Damage to him. But it should have been something around 30-35 Seconds before he was able to use Damage Con again.

I am not Surprised by this at all. No Offense to anyone. But most CV Players really have no Idea about the Basics of this Game. CVs are still the Easiest to Play Class in this Game. Because as long as you Obey the Basics you will do rather Good. For other Classes even Minor Mistakes can be Punished really Severely. But as a CV as long as you dont REALLY mess up Big Time. You will still get a Respectable Result. Many CV Players Dont know how to Evade Heavy AA. Dont know how to Handle DDs that turned AA Off. Dont know how to use Islands for a Covered Approach. Dont know how to Plan an Attack Vector Properly. Dont know which Targets they can Attack Safely and which they should Avoid unless there is a Reason to Attack it. And these Things are not Advanced Tactics or Pro Skills. These are Basic Skills that any CV Player should easily have by Default after having Played 100 Games in T6 or higher CVs. Many People either dont Evade Heavy AA at all. Or they make only Minimal Evasion to Evade the older Black Clouds that Spawned in Front of them. Many People seem to have no Idea what the Minimum Distance is to Start a Attack and thus Start Attacks on a DD which popped up 2km in front which they then of course will never hit. Many People will Happily fly over High Mountain Islands at a Minotaur not Realizing that this will Delete their Planes cause they need 3 times as long to go over the Island than if they went around it. Many People for some Reason just Attack the next Ship they See even if behind that Ship is the whole Enemy Fleet Blob thus basicly Forfeiting the entire Squadron by that Attack cause they will never get out of this Blob again. Many People for some Reason think that Attacking Baltimore and Cleveland in a T6 CV is a Good Idea and then wonder why they lose alot of Planes. Meanwhile the Bayern which is Isolated on the Flank is Ignored Entirely because it would be 4km further away.... So dong get me wrong. But I do have a slight Idea why WG might really be thinking that alot of their CV Playerbase is (to quote Jingles on the occassion) not really able to think and breath at the same time...

Yep. Yep. Nope. Just 80. I used Graf Zeppelin in that Game after 0.8.5 Hit. It doesnt have the Big Reserves of a Kaga. Yep. Not that Hard to do by the way. Nope. Sorry. But I would Recommend leaving the Facts to me. Because the Fact is. It cost me 28 Planes to Slug the Kremlin for 45k Damage and Sink him. You Guys Should really know by now. That I am never making such Games unless I already have proven it myself...... But Hey. If you want to Embarass yourself by Denying the Truth. Suite yourself I guess.
-
You can Kill someone whose got a Machinegun with a Pistol if your more Skilled than him. But that doesnt make the Pistol the Superior Weapon. Sorry. But your trying to Recommend someone his First T10 BB here. And you want him to get the BB which is hardest to Play. Which has the worst Disadvantages in the Game. And whose only Redeeming Feature is a Skill Setup that cant be used unless your an Unicum Player who can Predict a Battles course to the point of actually getting to use it. And the Joke is. Your telling this to Someone while you have never even Played the GK yourself. Thats just Great. For your Info. The GK is completely Different from the FdG or Bismarck. Its Playing entirely and utterly Different. And being Honest. I consider the FdG to be the better Ship in General. The GKs Statistics are not Bad for Unknown Reasons. They are bad because the Ship has a Bunch of Horrible Problems which other T10 BBs dont have. While its Sole Advantage is something that not only Requires Great Skill and a Fully Fledged out Specialist Build to use. But which is also not really Strong enough to Balance out the Disadvantages it has against other BBs. Moreover. The other BBs come with Distinct Advantages themselves but without the massive Disadvantage that the GK has. Currently. The GK has 2 Distinct Advantages. 1. Its Citadel is nearly Impossible to Penetrate from Close Range. Which Prevent Citadels. But as on that Range even Normal Pens will do Terrible Damage. Its not that big of an Advantage. 2. Its Secondaries are Strong and have a Long Range. However for this to be useful at all. You need to Spend a 18 Point Captain on the Secondaries alone. Which is quite the Hurdle. And even then the Secondaries are Ultimately just DD Guns and will only do Limited Damage to Enemy Targets. In Exchange for that. The GK gets a whole Crabload of Disadvantages. 1. Its is Big and Really Slow at Turning. Making it a Torpedo Magnet. Which is even worse thanks to its Bad Torpedo Protection barely Negating any Torpedo Damage. 2. Its Guns are Crab. They dont just have about the Worst Accuracy on T10 Guns. They also have low Penetration for T10 Guns and thus will Regularily Bounce off even Broadsiding BBs and half angled Cruisers. 3. Its Superstructure is Gigantic which makes it a Primary HE Target that is easy to Hit and Set on Fire. Which is even worse when you consider that a Full Secondary Build does not Allow you to go for the Skills that reduce Damage from Fires like this. The GK is a Prime Target even for Rocket Planes because thanks to the Gigantic and Easy to Hit Superstructure they can get 12k Damage Salvos on you very easily. 4. It has Short Range. Which is a Terrible Disadvantage when your already very Slow and Sluggish. Because by the time you get into Range most other BBs can already Shoot at you. And you have little way of maneuvering to avoid or reduce Fire. 5. Its Turrets are Flimsy. Thanks to the low Turret Armor the Turrets tend to get Knocked out constantly. Especially in Close Range Combat when your Bowtanking an Enemy. 6. And Finally your HE Shells Suck. They are just too weak to really be a good Choice and Paired with your Accuracy you wont even Reliably set Fires because you just score too few Hits. Now lets compare that to the Conqueror. The Conqueror comes with 4 Distinct Advantages. However its Advantages are always present and easy to use. 1. Its got Great HE. Which makes it capable of Dealing Damage to anyone and anything at any Range or Angle. 2. Its got an Incredible Heal which People Joke about as "Printing out a New Ship" because not only is the Heal much much Stronger than the Heal of other Battleships. It also is not Stopped by Citadel Damage and can Repair alot more of Penetrations etc. Meaning that the Conqueror tends to have a far larger Health Pool to work with than any other BB thanks to this Heal. 3. It also has an Option for 457mm Guns which got very high AP Damage (nearly 15k Alpha...) and which come with the British Short Fuse thus not being as Prone to Overpentrations as other BBs. 4. It comes with a Detection Range of below 16km which means its got Concelament Comparable to a Cruiser rather than a Battleships. With Skills and Module its Detection can be Dropped to about 12km making it an very Hard Target and a BB that can actually Sneak around a Flanl. And this is the Thing. It does not have any of these Backbreaking Distinct Disadvantages. Its not the best in certain things. For example its Armor is not the Best. But none of its Disadvantage sis as Severe as the GK and Hampers its ability to Score against the Enemy. You can turn this around all the way you like and talk about Stories of some "Special" guy making it work somehow. But the Fact is that the Grosser Kurfürst is Obectively and Factually the Worst Tier 10 BB in the Game. It is vastly Inferior to the Conqueror in pretty much anything. I mean Sorry. But if you really Recommend someone to get the GK as his First BB. Then I really dont know what that Person did to you to Deserve that. I mean whatever he did to you must have been Horrenouds. Otherwise you could not possibly Hate him so much that you would want him to go through the Pain of the Grind of German BBs just to then Reach this **** of a Brick and Suffer with it until he eventually gives up and accepts that he got tricked and start Grinding for an actual T10 BB.
