    CVs unplayable - demand refund

    I dont Slingshot at all. I consider Slingshotting an Exploitable Mechanic similar to Border Hugging. So I dont do it. I will Generally Avoid Attacking Blobs. When I have to attack a Blob I do one out of 2 Things. 1. Look for a Target in Front of the Blob. And then Drop Bombs on it before Boosting into the Blob to then Drop the Blob with the Second Wing. This is effectively my Way of Squad Shortening. Its also why I sometimes Drop AP Bombs on DDs. I just use em to Shorten my Squad without just doing Water Drops. (I somehow Feel Stupid when I bomb Islands or Open Water.....) 2. If I cant find any Target outside the Blob. I will look for 2 Targets One on the Edge of the Blob and one that is inside the Blob. The Targets should be in one Line for me so I dont need to Curve much to Strike Both. And need to have a Distance of roughly 8km to each other. So I can Recover from the First Drop before reaching the Second. (Assuming Torpedo Bombers) This is me going Yolo with a Squad. If I lose my Squad anyways I will at least make it count for 2 Drops. Sigh... I just Remembered a Certain Someone I would rather have Forgotten.... Did he get his Account Deleted by the way ?

  3. Sure. Because you Playing without Borderhugging for some Games would Prove anything. Its not like I can Control you for the rest of my Life lol. And Sorry. But the only thing Pathethic in this Topic. Is how many People are Defending an Abusable Exploit. Of course not. Who would Drink that Foul Stinking Water that your trying to lead me to lol Good. So you dont even know the Difference between an Exploitable Game Mechanic and an Abusable Bug. And for your Info. I have been Told by far more People than there are in this Topic. That a T8 CV cannot Bomb a Minotaur because his Squadron gets Deleted before he Reaches the Minotaur. But thats the thing with things People tell you. I go into the Game. And I see the Reality is Different from the things People told me. So between Believing my Eyes. And Believing what People Tell me. I.ll let you Guess which I trust more. Good. If you Agree that it needs to be Fixed then the Rest is Honestly Irrelevant to me. I dont care if its done by making it do Damage or whatever other Method either. As for Evidence. Then let me Speed this Up. I am a bit Annoyed to Waste Time on this. As I would rather use the little Time I got differently this week. But if we can Agree that this Needs to be Fixed I am ready to go the extra mile there. Here you go with 2 Screenshots. 1. Is from the Neighbors Map. One of the most Common Maps you land on when Playing T8 Battles. 2. Is from the Ice Islands Map. One the more Common Maps for T10 Battles. Now Please let me Explain this to you. In World of Warships Maps Depend on Tier. Lets Focus on only the Maps which can Hold Tier 10 Matches to make it Simpler. (The others are Generally Smaller and thus Easier to Borderhug. But lets use the Highest Tier to get the Point Through). 1. 10 of the Maps for T10 are 48x48km On these Maps you will Generally not be able to get very Close to the Capture Point from the Border. And these Maps also Tend to have an Larger Island either between Border and Capture Point. Or have an Island inside the Border thus not allowing People to Borderhug There in the First Place. Okinawa is by the way on these Maps. 2. 11 of the Maps for T10 are 42x42km On these Maps. (The Screenshots above are also from this Map Size) The Capture Point is in General very Close to the Border. And since the Map Size is only 42x42km you can usually even Reach the Center Cap while Hugging the Border. (BBs in T8 and above usually got about 20km Range. So your Range is Half the Map) The Ice Islands Map is by the way the Map where the Iowa got on my Nerves which Prompted me to Open this Topic in the First Place. As you can See this Map is one of the Extreme Examples for Border Hugging not being something that can be Ignored. 3. And then we got the Ocean Map which is an Oddity. It is only 36x36km and thus Extremely Small. So you can Literally Hump any Border and will still Cover over Half of the Map... But The Ocean Map is also an Oddity in General. And its extremely Rare to get it. Normally. 36x36km is the Map Size you get for T5-T7 Battles. But God Knows why WG tought it was a Good Idea to make a T10 Map this Small... So lets Ignore this Borderhugging Heaven Map as being an Rare and Odd Case...

    The same old lies again and again... 1. I can still get Strikes on T10 Cruisers with my T8 CV using Half Squadrons. So the Claim that a Full T10 Squadron cant reach enemy Ships is clearly False. 2. How the Hell can you not make Money with a T10 CV???? The only Ships making more money than my Haku. Is my T8 Premium CVs and my T9 Jean Bart. 3. Strange. I am not Playing Actively right now. But 2 of my 7 Games since Update was CVs. And they are completely Playable with no Problems. Only Problem for CVs right now is a Competent Team. Cause if your Team Roflstomps the Enemy you dont get much chances to Score yourself.
  6. There fixed that for You. Guys you can keep coming with the Git Gud Comments. But the only Answer you get is Git Gud yourself and L2P without exploiting the Broken Border Mechanics.
  7. 1. You got a very Selective Perception lol. 2. It does Matter alot. Because you Claim that Hitting them is easy and that me having trouble hitting them is due to me not being good at Aiming. And if your Worse at Aiming than me. Then something doesnt add up with that Claim. 3. It being an Exploit is out of the Question. Unless of course you want to Claim.that WGs intention was to allow People Driving Belly Forward by using the Border. 4. Simply mentioning the Facts. Your approval of Reality does not change Reality. 5. See above. In German you Capitalize alot more Words. Any Name of People or Objects. And in case you Name an Action or Status these as well. Mix that habit of using alot of Capital Letters with English not being my Native Language and me often having trouble defining the grammar of actions etc. And you get alot of wrong Capitalized Words.

  9. Out of Context Quotes trying to backpedal on Statements.... Sigh... Simple Question. Do you Support the Motion to Fix Borderhugging and remove any Advantage Gained from it. Or do you not Support it being Fixed and thus Defend Borderhugging against the Motion. Simple Yes or No Question.

    I think further Changes will wait for 0.8.7 when the Manual AA Burst Comes. I am very Curious about that anyways. Since it could be the Biggest Buff but also the Biggest Nerf to AA so Far. Since so Far you had the Sector set Permanently. The Enemy CV was in Full AA from the Start. But with the AA Burst Activating it. You will lose alot of this because it needs to go up first. And if you Activate before the Enemy is in Range you get no AA Burst and depending how long it stays might even get less Damage out of it because it goes down before the Aircraft passed. Also they said the AA Burst Damage will be a Percentage of the Squadron Health based on Squadron Type. So not depending on Ship Type or Ship AA. Which would mean that for the AA Cruisers like Mino. This would be a Nerf as they lose the 45% Sector Damage in exchange for a much Weaker Burst. While Weak AA Ships would Suddenly cause Big losses especially when they are in a Group. Assuming they dont Completely Change AA Values. The Damage of the Burst. The Activation Time for the Sector Reinforcement. The Duration of the Sector Focus And the Cooldown for the Burst. Will be the deciding Factor if this will be a Buff or Nerf for AA.

    Thats at least a Good change in terms of ingame telling how Good AA is lol I usually lose around 150 *gg* Most of all its scary lol. I constantly think I am flying over a Worcester or something. Then Check my Health and notice its not really dropping so fast lol
  13. Because only Map in the Game is Okinawa lol. You are Defending an Exploit. Your trying to tell me to Ignore an BB in my Flank or abandon a Capture Point. And Sorry but I am not a DD. And Iowa 12km away will Spot me. And why would he need Overlapping Cap Points? So your Suggestion is to Ignore him and Yolo Center or what??? But Yes. I get you like the Border mechanic and think its Good. Good to abuse right. The Joke is. You even Admit they are hard to hit and have an Combat Advantage by hugging the Border. Instead trying to make this lame excuse that you dont need to get close enough to a Border. Suggesting to Yolo Center Map and abandon Cap Points defended by Border hugging BBs...

    Have they Changed something on the AA ? :) From my few Games Today. (Currently taking a Break. So I only play when Friends ask me to Division up) I noticed that the Volume of AA Fire Graphics has Dramatically Increased lol. I could not Notice much in terms of an Actual Damage Change. Albeit I do seem to be getting Continues Damage a Tad bit Faster when Attacking Cruisers. Usually an Solo Wing of TBs can Bomb most Cruisers before losing a Plane. But today I usually lost a Plane before Reaching the Cruiser. But whats a much bigger thing. Is the amount of Small Scale AA Fire Graphics on the Screen. Did they Add more Machinegun Stuff etc to make AA look more Scary ?? ^^
  15. Then I can only Advice everyone to not take any Advice from you. Because if you dont consider an Enemy Iowa 12km from a Capture Point as an Priority and Suggest to just Ignore it. Then Sorry but that Advice Translates into 1 out of 2 Options. 1. Abandon the Capture Point and Camp. Which is a Surefire Way of Losing Battles. Because Yes. That Iowa is not Dangerous to you. But since it is holding the Objective. You are unlike him useless to your Team and Sign the Enemy Team up for Victory. 2. Push the Capture Point while Ignoring an Iowa in your Flank. Which is also a Surefire Way of Losing Battles. Because not only can that Iowa nicely keep Scoring Hits on you with its 16 Inch Guns. But since your Suggesting to Pass the Iowa without Killing it. It also means the Iowa will be in you Rear or Flank as you Push. I am very Sorry. But I think the one who needs to Learn about Prioritising Targets is you. So Yes. All your doing is Defending an Exploit.
  16. Sure why would anyone possibly Shoot on an Iowa thats 12km away from a Capture Point and thus Completely Blocking that Flank.n He has absolutely No Value to that Battle whatsoever.... Stop Defending that Exploit Pls. Man Up and Learn to Play Properly without abusing broken Mechanics.
  17. Except not all find it actually Easy. YOU and Some others here CLAIM it is easy. Which I am not so sure I should Believe when looking at your Profile. But that just on the Side. In case you didnt notice it. Several others didnt find it easy at all. And others also Explained why they dont find it easy to Hit. Which is because the Movement is Unnatural and does not give you an Lead Indicator so you can Hit it Accurately. Now my Guess for example could be. That maybe its not that Border Huggers are Easy to hit for you. But that you from the Start are not very Good at Hitting Targets Driving in Open Sea. So you just dont notice any Difference on Border Huggers. It is actually Pretty Telling. That even tough all of you are Playing Less BBs and more Cruisers than me. Out of you 3 Guys which are telling me to Git Gud and Learn to Aim. Only one actually has an Higher Accuracy Rating. And that Person is playing Alot of Gun DDs. So No. As I said before. The Only Logical Reason I see for you Guys making these Claims and attempting to Prevent WG from Fixing a Known Exploit. Is due to You using that Exploit and not Wanting to have it Fixed. If not for that. I see Simply no Reason for you to try and Prevent it from being Fixed. Well. At least your Actually Admitting that it is Tricky. Even tough I find it Tricky beyond 20 Seconds. Because especially BBs wont even Drop to 80% of their Speed in that Time. And no. Its not Irrelevant at all. Whats Irrelevant is your Resistance towards having it Properly Fixed. It is not. I Suggest a Simple Experiment. Ram the Border and See if you can do any Movement that you cant do when your in Open Water. The Result will be that your can do such Movement. Meaning it is still an Exploitable Mechanic. And Sorry. But Especially BBs can often do this while Still Covering Capture Points. So its not something you can Ignore. And As I said with the CV/DD Issue in the Past. When your Best Option against an Enemies Actions. Is to Run Away. Then something is wrong with the Game. Because then the other Person is Obviously getting an Pretty Overpowered Advantage from Something. This Statement alone Proves that Borderhugging is an very Relevant Exploit and Should be Fixed ASAP:
  18. Thats even less Reduction that I tought. And Halfed means for a BB it will take forever to slow down and even after that is still fast enough to be hard to hit. And yes it does lateral movement in Seconds. Because the Motion is amplified sideways as the Ship cant go forward. So just tipping the nose slightly can change the direction on the Border. And Yes. The more Responses I read. The more I get the Feeling that the People which are spending so much effort here Defending this Issue and not wanting it to get Fixed. Are exactly those Borderhuggers which drive close to the Border on purpose and then exploit it. Its an Obvious Exploit here as well. Or are you telling me that you can do this kind of movement without Hugging the Border ? If you claim you can do this kind of Movement without exploiting the Border Mechanics I would love to see an Replay of that. As for being bothered by it. Well. Because its Granting People an Advantage over me in Combat maybe ? lol You guys can all claim they are easy to hit. But the Fact is they are harder to Hit than a Target Sailing in Open Water or a Target that has Hit an Island. Meaning its an Advantage. If you can Still hit them. Good for you. I very often Miss them there because its an extremely Unnatural Movement with little to no Indication where to Lead the Aim. And Sorry. But we are Talking about 2 Hours. Your not going to fix anything Critical there. Sorry but again. Thats an extremely Lame Excuse your trying there to Defend this abusable Exploit. Currently. The only Logical Reason I see. Why People would Defend this Exploit. Is because they are using it and want to keep using it.
  19. Just Asking. But are you on purpose feeding my suspicions now? Because this is a pretty Typical Excuse for Defending Exploits. The best time I heard this line about not changing the accepted system (status quo) was when People in Mortal Online asked the Devs to fix the Displacement of Mounts upon Dismounting. Because People used it to bug themselves into and through Walls so people could not kill their Mounts. The People which didnt want the exploit to be fixed came up with the same excuse there... As for Prioroty. Thats a pretty lame excuse really. (And also one of the most common excuses when exploiters argue against an exploit being fixed.) Its a Fix that would take not even 2 workhours. There is no bigger postcare required either. So its not getting in the way of fixing any other issues. I am Sorry to pose the Question Directly. But could it be that your frequently hitting the Border?
  20. No. If you are close to the Border yourself. He will even if he shows some Broadside. Still be hard to hit. Because you cant tell if he is coming closer or moving away thus screwing your aim. But ze diesnt need to anyways cause he can just angle away and thus be angled and keep meving diagonally with his Ship. If you are dead behind him. He can also adjust his nose. The Border is 180 degrees in front of him. He doesnt need to exactly nose into the center. So he is NEVER stationary unless he wants to. Meanwhile I am growing Toxic here. Its hard to believe that so many Players would be this eager to Defend an Exploitable mechanic and actively try to keep it exploitable. Always reminds of that guy who during 0.8.3 kept talking about how easy it is to Counter CVs with Surface Ships and how CVs were perfectly Balanced after the Rework. Just when I checked his Stats. He not only did not even own the Ships for which he claimed these Matches. But also had Personal Ratings of 200-400 for all Classes except CVs where he had a 1500+ rating. Just like People here claim they almost never see Border Huggers. He also always claimed that 8 of 10 games he did not get any CVs in the Match. (Which was Impressive given he 90% of the time Played CVs) Unfortunately. There is no Statistics for Border Hugging. So I cant check if the reason for this fierce retaliation against fixing an exploit is due to people abusing this exploit themselves.

    No. Planes follow same rules as Ships. They dont get Spotted if DD is in Smoke :) I love doing this *gg* I am so often Sinking DDs in Smoke using Torps. Only downside is. To make an effective drop the DD needs to have been spotted before. So you know his facing. From Minimap or because you saw him. Otherwise you rarely hit anything. Mine keeps Sinking. Just Today. Had 150k Damage and 3 Kills with the British T6 CV. Pretty much Carried that Game. High Calibre and Confederate. Come out of the Game and of course -2 Karma from Reports.....

  24. Nice Glassball then. Because there is no Optical Indication for the Speed of the Ship once its Hugging the Border. And the Speed to the Side can be changed in a matter of seconds because the sidewards force is amplified by the ship going nose into the border and can be changed by tipping that nose. Unlike a Ship Driving Normally inside the Map. The Sideways Movement is much Bigger and Changes much Faster. And the Water Graphics are barely changing compared to normal Inside Map Movement. I have seen it more than 10 times alone last Week. And I never said its a Major Issue. Its an Annoying Issue that would take 5 Minutes to Fix. Thats why I say we should Fix it. Am I talking Chinese somehow ???? Is it that hard to Understand that the Border will create a Sideways Movement allowing the Ship to Effectively Drive into an Direction with its Broadside and thus allow Movement parallel to the Enemy Ship without showing your Broadside as you have to do for this parallel movement when your not hugging the border ??? Not Trolling at all. I have Presented Several Examples havnt I ?? But lets make it more Detailed. Iowa from the Northern Team Drives down on the Eastern Flank along the Border. Enemy Ships are coming in from South West of the Iowas Position and come into Range. Now upon the Enemy Ships having opened Fire. The Iowa also Opens Fire. Turns around and Noses right into the Border. With the Nose in the Border it now is Showing a Perectly Angled Broadside that is hard to cause Damage against as if it were Kiting the Enemy Ships. BUT it is not actually moving away. And worse. Its Sideways movement is much bigger than if it was in Open Water. And with the Nose in the Border Amplifying the Sideways Movement. It can Change the direction of this sideways movement at the drop of a hat. This also Masks his actual Movement Speed to the Sides. Because if he Plays with the Rudder a Bit. You dont get any Visual Clue like you would when he would Drive in Open Water because he draws no Lines in the Water. Meaning he gets Perfectly Angled Armor like he was Kiting. At the same time he is much more Evasive because he can Change the Direction of his Sideways movement much faster than if he was in Open Water. But unlike someone actually Kiting. He is not forced to Increase the Range and the Enemy does never have the Option to Turn around to get out of his Range. And Pls note. The Speed thing is not really Mattering. I did this myself in the Past. If you Hug a Border with a BB. It takes forever for your Speed to Drop. In Fact on the First Time I did this Accidently. I did not even notice the Speed Debuff. It said Engine Power Reduced due to Border. But I did not really Drop Speed. I actually tought its reducing Engine Power by like 20% or something because nothing happened. And this is Not Surprising. Because its only Decreasing Engine Power. Go Full Speed in a BB and then Drop Engine Power to 1/4 instead of going Reverse. And see how long it takes for your Ship to really Start Slowing Down. I actually got enough Experience Driving into a Border. Thing is the Speed Debuff is so Weak I never really Noticed it to be any Problem. I dont know if the Henry has a Bug there somehow that gets it Stuck. But whenever I hit the Border I have no Trouble Maneuvering at all.
