    Yudachi: before you buy it

Dont think thats strange to be honest. Long Range Torpedo DDs are Generally a different Playstyle. In General if your Playing a Long Range Torpedo DD. Going for Caps is not a Good idea. The Problem is not so much that you got Weak Guns. But that for your main Weapon which is your Torpedoes. Is heavily Nerfed this way. Not only does everyone and their Mom expect Torpedoes from a Contested Capture Point. Because well its like putting up a Sign. Hello a DD is here.... But as the Caps are Generally between the two Teams. Enemy Ships will in General not Show their Broadside to the Capture Point for an Extended Time and even if they do they tend to be Hit by your Team and then Change Direction to avoid further Hits. As a Torpedo DD it makes Sense to instead look for Flanking or Breakthrough Actions from where you can Fire Torpedoes in Island Camping Cruisers or Bow Tanking BBs. As they dont tend to Change Course very Often.

    Make citadels un-overpennable

Actually its way more than that. I just had that with a Moskwa which I put 3 Salvos into from close range. All overpens. My Prinz Eugen and Admiral Hipper also do this by the way. Its hilarious because thanks to this I have killed even Musashi in a Broadside Battle.... The reason seems to be that the Ship is too Thin. Your Armor is enough to Activate the Shell. But by the time it Detonates it has Passed through the Entire Ship and come out the other side.

Tier 4 CV sealclubbing has to STOP!

Mate no Offense. But if your basicly saying L2P Noobs. Then at least dont try to afterwards say your not going at it with an "l2p noobs" point of view. And No. Sorry. But learning to Dodge Aircraft is really not going to fly here. Because most CV Attacks cant be Dodged in the First Place. The only CV Attack that can be evaded to some degree is Torpedoes. All other Attacks depend on the CV. In T4 you can be Lucky and have a CV which will miss you cause he doesnt know how the Attack works. But especially with the Reset of Ship Trees now being a thing. The entire Thing has become entire Rubbish. Because currently CVs are an extremely easy way to just Regrind a Tree. Meaning you have Tons of People just Bashing Noobs in Overpowered T4 Carriers. (And also in T6 Carriers)

    Make citadels un-overpennable

I dont think that Overpenetration should count as Citadel. An Overpenetration is an Overpenetration. What I do think however is that Overpens should be more of a Theat. Its true that its quite Ridiculous lately. That a Cruiser just goes Full Broadside 5km away from a Battleship and then can Farm that Battleship to death because the Battleship wont get anything above 5-6k Hits on him thanks to just landing Overpens all the Time. One Good Solution might be that Overpens could Deal 1/4 instead of 1/6 of the Shells Alpha Damage. (Normal Pens do 1/3) Or you could make Overpens a bit more Dangeous. Overpens that Exit the Ship below the Waterline could cause a Light Flooding which has 1/3 of the Duration of a Torpedo caused Flooding. However. While I think its indeed Stupid that Cruisers can Tank BB Shells by Showing Broadside. People also need to keep in mind that Cruiser cannot Bowtank most Battleships. So they dont have much Choice to begin with. So if make Overpens Stronger we also need to do something about the Stupid Overmatch Mechanic. In General I think Overmatch should be Removed from the Game entirely. But at least it Should stop being an Automatic Penetration and should instead maybe just get a Reduced Chance of Ricochet. Cause dont get me Wrong. But even the Yamatos 460mm Shells would in Reality Bounce off of 32mm Armor when they hit it at 80 Degrees Angle. There is a Chance the Side of the Shell might Press into the Armor and Deform it enough for the Shell to Tumble into the Armor and Grip into it. But the Shell would afterwards have almost no Penetration Power anymore as it would be Tumbling and Damaged. So Simple Solution. Make Overpens deal 1/4 instead of 1/6 of the Alpha Damage. But also Remove Overmatch and Replace it with an Decreased Richochet Chance. So that Bow Citadels against Cruisers become much more Rare. Making Overpens go into Citadel when a Cruiser Literally cannot really do anything but Show his Broadside to a BB if he doesnt want to be Overmatched and thus Auto Citadelled. Would not Fix it anything. It would just make Cruisers completely useless.

Tier 4 CV sealclubbing has to STOP!

Well what do you Expect. Continues AA has been Nerfed into Complete Oblivion. And Heavy AA is basicly Non Existent in Lower Tiers. So in T4 and often even in T6 you dont even need to know how to Dodge Flak to massacre everyone....

In case you dont know. Light Cruisers are Generally less Armored than Heavy Cruisers. But that aside. If you dont think you need to do it. Dont do it ;) You can do this however it works for you. I merely State how I usually do it. That has no Guarantee to be the only Way there is.

We are talking about Light Cruisers. Which basicly means the British Ones with their non Existent Armor as all other Nations got Heavy Cruisers at Tier 10 I think xD

    CV Rework Discussion

Its that Easy with one Exception. Against Extremely Heavy Armored Targets you Drop from Max Height. Even if it means having some Risk of not Hitting at all. (Honestly said this is basicly non Existent for a Haku. Because your Bombs have Insane Penetration. You had to do it on Shokaku if you wanted to Citadel Yamato) Against Heavy Armored Targets you Drop from as high as you can with Decent Accuracy which is usually a moment after they Finished putting their Nose Down. (For Haku this means Yamato and most T10 BBs) Against Easy Targets you can wait for your Bombers to reach Max Accuracy. And drop short before the Dive goes over into level Flight (Basicly any BB or Heavy Cruiser that doesnt have alot of Deck Armor) And then is the One Exception. Against Light Armored Targets like Light Cruisers or T8 Heavy Cruisers. You wait for your Bombers to Enter Level Flight. And then Drop after they have Leveled out. This causes your Bombs to Fly in an Angle against the Target. Thus effectively Increasing the Targets Armor against your Bombs. Pls note. Doing this Requires that you Start your Bombing Run a bit Earlier. Because your Bomb Sight will move Forward in Level Flight.

    1. Against DDs Yes. But thats not their Purpose. And Haku has Extremely Potent Rocket Attackers which actually Pack a Slightly Stronger Punch against DDs than the Midways Rocket Attackers. And against CLs its actually just you not knowing how to use them. AP Dive Bombers can be Extremely Efficient against Light Cruisers. But you need to Drop in Flat Flight from as low as Possible. 2. Then Learn to Evade Heavy AA. Because AA is actually extremely useless. The only AA doing anything right now is the Heavy Flak Bursts. And these can be Evaded 100% meaning you can Reduce Damage from them to 0 If you cant do that there is no CV with which you will Succeed to be Honest. Because in Higher Tiers almost all Ships Produce 3-6 AA Puffs by Default. So you will never get anywhere unless you Learn to Evade Them.

Hakuryu has a Number of Strong Points. 1. The Dive Bombers are Awesome. And extremely Reliable actually. You just need to know How to use them and on which Targets they Work properly. Because then you can Reliable get 2-3 Citadel Hits fro 15-20k Damage in one Hit. 2. The Torpedo Bombers have only 2 Torps thats True. But it comes with 12 Planes anyways. Meaning you get Max of 6 Drops. Which makes it Possible for Haku to aktually do up to 3 Drops even against Targets that have Decent Anti Air Firepower. And against Targets which are Isolated the Haku is extremely Punishing. Because you can do 4 or even 5 Drops. 3. Haku is a Long Term CV. It often remains in Battle after other CVs have Depleted their Aircraft. Which is a Very Strong Point. Because towards the End when both Teams are Thinned Down. A CV actually Grows Stronger :) 4. Haku has one really Big Advantage that you should not use but its Funny so I.ll add it anyways xD Its an Armored Carrier. So you can Actually Tank alot of Enemy Ships.

Honestly said. I dont think that a Discussion about the Relevance of Average Damage to a CVs Influence in the Battle can really be called Spam in a Topic about the CV Rework and CVs Influence in Battle. You dont always have to be Dead Serious and see the other side of an Discussion as Enemy you know. Taking the time and putting a few Friendly or Funny Posts in between to keep a Friendly Atmosphere can go a long way to make a Discussion worthwhile instead of it being a hostile swamp.

    1. If you Approach Fast Ships from behind with CV Torpedoes you did something wrong xD 2. For DDs this Skill actually makes alot of Sense. Especially on long Range Torpedoes. Because your Torpedoes get Faster and thus Reduce the Reaction Time of your Enemy as well as Reducing the Leading Requirement for your Torpedoes and thus Reduce Inaccuracy from Enemy Maneuvering. Which is a Pretty Big Advantage to be Honest. And is very useful if you have the Range to Spare. 3. All CVs have 35 Knot Torpedoes. And if you want to Single out the Midway just because I dont have it then Sorry but I seriously dont think your someone to whose Advice I would listen lol

    Yudachi: before you buy it

I would not use TA on CVs. I actually made that Mistake at Start as well. But its completely Worthless. The Fuse on Torpedoes is a Timer. Not a Set Range. And with CVs you Drop just far enough away for this Timer to Run out. So you Gain absolutely nothing with 5 Extra Knots. Because the Reaction Time for the Enemy is exactly the Same as before. You just have Torpedoes which go Faster but Start further away. And your actually making several Aspects Worse. Because you need more Space between you and the Target to Drop. Which makes Targets behind Islands even Harder to Hit and against Blobs results in a higher Chance of other Ships catching your Torps before the Fuse activates on the Target you wanted to Drop.

Actually its 2 Because I would never have Dared to Compare this Guy to you.... I find it Offensive to even mention him. I was looking at a Guy with 500 Battles and 55% WR not 54% like the one you Found and should have Ignored :P And to begin with this is only because of your Limiting it to People with 500+ Battles Which Limits the Number of Available Candidates to just 59 Players to begin with lol

For me 55% counts as Tremendously Worse than 68% :P So we Fulfilled that Request :P

We are using your Total Stats as well. But to Begin with your Quite Demanding there arent you ^^ If we only Count People with 500 Battles Upwards we only 60 People to begin with :P As for when they Last Played. Well Yeah. No Offense but I got an Appointment Next Week which I dont want to Miss. So I am not going to Check every Players Battle History for the last 2 Months xD But for Battle Count I can still Offer this. https://wows-numbers.com/ship/4179605488,Midway/?order=battles__desc#leaderboard Sorted by Battles. Only Counting People with 500 Battles and more. (Which is only like 60 People) And I can still Find 6 People which got Higher Average Damage than You but Worse Winrate. By the way I also found Several which got Lower Average Damage than You but a Higher Winrate :) Ok. But to Begin with we are Derailing here. From the Beginning. I never said you cant have High Winrate AND High Damage. Its just that I am not Good enough as that I could get 150k Average Damage without my Winrate Dropping alot. I am an Average Potato after all :P

Awww Godamnit. I need to Stop Posting when I am Half Asleep -.- Thats 3rd time Today I am making a Stupid Mistake like this.... And Yeah. If you Sort by Damage you can get Rank 5 Rank 11 Rank 16 Rank 17 All of which got way Higher Damage but lower Winrate. :) Yup. All over 100 Battles. Clearly too Big of a Sample Size as to Claim they just had a Lucky Streak :)
  21. Sunleader

    CV Rework Discussion

Thats not Really a Challenge Actually lol If you Sort by Winrate. And then Just look at the Top 20 Players. Which got roughly 10% Better Winrate than you in their Midway. You will notice. That 9 of them actually have Lower Average Damage than You :P And Heck one has only 90k Average Damage but 78% Winrate :P https://wows-numbers.com/ship/4179605488,Midway/?order=win_rate__desc#leaderboard

    CV Rework Discussion

see below Answer is meant for both of you so forgive me if some parts Sound Strange ^^ In General its not a Problem to go way over 100k Damage in a T10 CV. If I wanted to I could easily Average on 150k Damage. But my Winrate would likely Drop Tremendously. Because I would mostly Farm Damage from whatever Target I have close to me. Unfortunately. This Damage Farming is exactly what alot of the "Average" Players do in their CVs. Thus pumping up the High Average Damage Numbers. Thanks to that you actually even Find a few Players in the Top 100 of Average Damage that got 49% Winrate..... I dont really Pay Attention to Damage at all. Because most of the Time I will Target Cruisers if Possible. The Average Damage of 110-130k is just the coincidental Result of this.

    Yudachi: before you buy it

Thats not entirely True here. The Reload Booster Reloads your Launchers in 8 Seconds. So you can Drop 16 Torps in 10 Seconds. Not 30 Seconds. And assuming your Concetrating on one Enemy Ship you can Actually Set up your Spread so that the Second Salvo Runs into the Evasion Turn at a Slightly Different Angle. Enemy BBs at T7 need 12 Seconds just to Shift their Rudder. So after Evading the First Salvo they will almost always be Forced Overturn to get their Rear out of Harms way and thus Cross the Second Torpedo Line. And as they need another 12 Seconds just to Return the Rudder to Center Position. They cant actually Evade the Second Salvo.

As I said. I never had Trouble with Akatsuki Torpedoes. They might be mostly Anti BB Torps. And not very useful against DDs. But in that Role they are Pretty Good.
