Wont happen. I also Expect Ark Royal to be Buffed sooner or later. Wargaming puts a very heavy Emphasize on the Action and Fun Part. And CVs having Constant Fast Action is effectively one of their main Targets with the Rework. Ark Royal Certainly is more Balanced than most other CVs. Mainly because its so slow. It does Pack quite a Punch. So it can Deal Decent Damage. But the Lack of Speed with the AIrcraft Dramatically Reduces its Influence on the Battlefield. Reducing the Speed of Aircraft in the Game and in exchange Increasing the Attack Power would certainly Improve Balance for CVs. But it would be Boring as Hell for the CV Player and so would never work out with WGs Strategy and Wishes.
-
Currently Best Choice for Fast Repetitive Attacks is Graf Zeppelin ;) If WG would just give the Divebombers a somewhat better Accuracy it would be a Great T8 CV. Its Attack Power would of course still be lower than Shokaku and it surely cant Spam Attacks like Enterprise or Kaga. But with the Secondaries and the Fast Planes you could make up for these Differences Pretty Good. And Meh. I Hate Ark Royal. The Planes are soooooo slow. It Hits really Hard for a T6 CV. But God its so Boring to Play this CV..... I have literally been Posting in the Forum when Playing that CV cause the Planes needed nearly 3 minutes for the Trip anyways....

I am Considering to get US Line. Especially since UK Line doesnt suit my Fast Repetetion Attack Style. But right now I am just not in the Mood for this Game... Also. I feel bad and dirty when I play Hosho..... Not sure what you expect Weekend Tester to mean. But its only denoting that I participated it the Free Weekend Beta when the Game was still in Development. Its not saying anything beyond that. Not that it really matters. At least 2 of the other People your Arguing with here are beating my Expertise by a considerable Margin. Yet your trying to lecture them. Its Hilarious that your trying to explain El2azer how AA and Losses are Relevant. Because he is likely the Best CV Player on EU and not on Rare Occassion Tops the CV Leaderboard. No Offense to you. But he really does not need your explanations there. He knows perfectly well what AA can do and what it cant do. As for Challenging the Unknown. Uhh. I wont say its wrong. Because if you had been a Good CV Player there would be a Chance the other guy is inferior and thus backs off. But when your way below Average in the Class in Question. You really wont win any favour with this. There is 3 Types of AA. 1. The Aura which deals Damage per Second. It cant be Evaded. But you can Limit Exposure to it by not Strafing Ships Aura and only Enter it when you Attack. Most Ships Aura is extremely weak and wont do anything unless you stay in a very small distance around the Enemy Ship. Thats why its usually Ignored by Decent CV Players. 2. Heavy AA which Deals very High Damage in an Limited Area. It can be Evaded easily and thus is Generally Ignored by Decent CV Players. If you dont yet have the right Rythm to evade it. You can also Limit the Damage by just Boosting Straight for the Target while trying to not cross Black Clouds. It is however an Issue for New Players which tend to Panic from it and take huge curves or even try to turn away from it. Which then results in them eating the Full Salvo and losing the Squad. 3. The Sector Flak Burst. This One Time Manual Click of the Player will Deal 3.5% of your Squadrons Remaining HP as Damage. Thats why Plane HP etc dont matter to this. The Damage is Percentile. So even if the Player has Manual AA Burst Skill and thus does 7% instead of 3.5% Damage. He cant deplete your Squadron. And since its Percent of the Remaining HP. A Damaged Squadron will take far less Damage. If you got 4 Planes Remaining out of 9 the Damage will basicly be 13-14% of the HP of ONE SINGLE AIRCRAFT in that Squadron... This is a Good makeshift formula by the way. 3.5 multiplies with the number of Planes. Thats the Percentage of Damage one of your Aircraft will take from this Hit. So it doesnt matter if you have Kaga or any other CV. If you have 12 Aircraft. You get 3.5x12 coming out to 42% Meaning that the Hit will reduce the HP of ONE AIRCRAFT out of your Squadron by 42% For Squadrons with 9 Aircraft you get 31.5% of that Aircraft. 6 Planes in Squadron and one Aircraft will take only 21% Damage. Thats why usually its pretty hard for CVs to even tell if someone used it or not. Cause on the First Attack its often not even enough to turn one Aircraft Yellow.......

Well Mate. If you say something that Shows you got no Idea then you get an Answer treating you like you got no Idea. 1. I made my Stats Public in the Past when I had something to Provide Evidence for. (Which by the way was that CVs are Overpowered. And that I certainly did given that during that Time I even made the Top 100 CV Players in the EU despite playing CVs for only about 1 Month...) But by now CVs being Ridiculously Overpowered is a Fact so Clear and Obvious that I dont need to Prove it really. So my Stats went back to Private how they have always been before. But oh well. Here is a Screen of my CV Stats. Just so you know that when I tell you something you might want to listen. 2. Mate. As Kaga you start with almost 3 Squads per Type. You can pretty much lose your entire Squadron each time you Fly and you will still Bomb 9 Targets. Add another 3 to that thanks to Regeneration.... Sorry. But if you have Trouble Running out of Planes with Kaga. I really dont know what your Doing. Also. *The Useless Rockets* are Mediocre but Decent. And as a way of Setting Fires before HE Bombing the Enemy for the Real Fires to be Set. They are Perfectly Fine. They aint Enterprise Assaulters of Course. But they work. But your main Staple thanks to the Fast Regeneration is actually your HE Bombers. 3. Thats actually Bullcrab. Kaga Planes are just Slightly more Vulnearble than Shokaku Planes. But Kaga got more than enough to Spare in Comparisson. 4. Flak Burst Deals 3.5% Damage to the Squadron. Kagas Plane being Weaker is Irrelevant cause its a Percentage....... But in the First Place. Kaga always takes losses even without Flak Burst. You just dont Care. You got more than enough Spare Planes.... 5. Yeah. Thats Nice and Dandy. But no Offense to you. But 16 Torps with Kaga means you made 4 Successful Drops with 2 Squadrons. Kaga Torps are Weak. But in Exchange you got 4 of them each Drop and 12 of them with each Squadron. Moreover you got 2 more Squads setting Dots. So 1 Flood means you can set a Fire next. But hey who am I talking to. I am sure an Kaga Expert like you already knows perfectly well how to Play it.
-
In General if I see Love and Peace open a Topic. I will look it into it. So that should not be that Surprising. No Worries. My love for You is Unwavering. My Interest in the Game is unfortunately much less steady these Days....
-
Mate... With Kaga you dont care about losses..... You just keep Bombing.... As for the Suggestions. Sure why not. I mean I am already mopping the Floor with T10 BBs in my T8 CVs. So why not make it even easier by just Guaranteeing me the Flooding on both Drops. After all. Right now I usually start the Battle with just 20k Damage usually. Cause only 1 of the 2 Drops I do to whatever Poor Sould crossed my Scouting Run will cause a Flooding and thus usually they can Repair it. Higher Flooding Chance means much better chance forme to do 40k Damage in the First 3 Minutes rather than 20k. And Clearly CVs arent OP enough yet. Them taking out a Ship before the Battle has even properly Started is not yet Guaranteed. But why make it so complicated like increasing Floodchance ? Some Noob CVs dont know how to wait after a Flood and Drop after DC Finished. So they will likely not be able to take out the Enemy properly. How about we just give CVs a Tactical Nuke Squadron instead. Drop Kills all Enemies in a 10km radius. Oh and to satisfy the Whiners we should also add the *Nuked* Badge for anyone being hit. So they cant complain about it. Its Perfect. And since then you really dont need any Skill whatsoever anymore. I am also sure we can get 5% CV Players soon. Oh. I forgot. Of course we need to make sure that the CV is Immune to Nukes so the CV cant be Sniped by the Enemy CV. Would mot be Fun for the CV otherwise right.

Your Obsession with anything related to Elazer is as Impressive as always.
-
Well. I explained it Several Times before already. The more Overpowered a Certain Class is. The more the entire Match depends on the Player Playing it in that Match being Good. People tend to Forget this and think oh yeah since CVs are beyond Doubt Overpowered. If I get one I can Win all my Matches easily. Thing is. MM puts one of these Overpowered CVs on both sides. So while any Noob in a CV will still be able to Farm 50k Damage on some BB without any Effort or Skill. Winner of the Match will be the Team who got the Better CV. Thats why Bad CV Players will often end up with 20-30% Winrate on their CVs. After all. They are effectively Driving a Ship so Overpowered that its worth 5-6 other Ships. And the Enemy has a Ship just as Overpowered. So if your CV is a Noob. And the Enemy CV is actually Good. Your basicly Playing 12 vs 18..... Well. Maybe you could Stop Pretending CVs are Balanced and Start Working on them. Maybe then People would not start calling for their Removal in the First Place. As for Elazer. No Need. He and his Enterprise might be Strong. But I can Bombs Literally anyone with my CV and anyone with a CV can Bomb me. Elazer will of course Frustrate 3-5 Players each Match which cant do anything about him. Where a Normal CV Players will only Frustrate 1 or 2 Poor Souls each Match which cant do anything about them. But Ultimately Elazer still only Frustrates about the same amount of People as 2-3 Normal CV Players. So its Great that you want to Nerf Elazer and thus have the 2000 CV Players only Frustrate 2000 other Players each Match instead of thanks to Elazer Frustrating 2004 other Players each Match. But I am pretty sure you Realize that this wont Solve the Problem. After the AA Rework. AA is Useless. As a CV Player mysels. I COMPLETELY IGNORE IT. Its so useless and irrelevant that paying attention to it costs me more time than just flying right through it. And of course when I play other Ships. (As rarely as that happens by now thanks to CVs sucking all the Fun out of this Game) I also notice that even with AA Upgrades and even when Paying Attention to Always Reinforce the Sector when the Enemy Aircraft come in. There is Literally no Difference to the amount of Attacks I take. The Damage Burst is so incredible weak. That you need to do it 3 times to Kill 1 Aircraft from a Full 12 Plane Squadron. And the the few Seconds of Reinforced AA is so Irrelevant that Testing with a Friend showed pretty clearly. Using AA Reinforced Sector gives you roundabout 1 Extra Kill assuming the Enemy Carries out at least 2 Attack Runs with that Squadron. And pls note. Thats assuming a Cruiser with at least Decent AA. For Ships with Weak AA you wont even make a Difference unless your Striked 3 Times with the same Squadron. And even on Ships with very Strong AA the Difference barely grows to 2 Aircraft when your Attacked by the same Squadron Twice. Not that it matters. Because the Number of Attacks is not Changed at all. Entirely Regardless of using Sector Reinforcement or not. The Enemy CV will be able to get the Exact Same Number of Drops on you with that Squadron. Right now CVs are only one thing. And that is Frustrating. They are Incredible Stressful to Play. Because as a CV your the Major Deciding Factor of Winning or Losing the Match. Meaning that barely anyone will Play High Tier CVs because the Potato Players thanks to that Incredible Influence they have of course constantly Lose as the Remaining Team cant Cover for them. While being Targeted by a CV is Extremely Frustrating and Unrewarding because you cant do anything about it. Great Way of making CVs the least Fun Experience in the Entire Game for both the CV Players and the Players Targeted by them.

Italienische Kreuzer (SAP) - Ein Griff ins Klo WG
Sunleader replied to Halz's topic in Allgemeine Diskussionen
Die Winkel kann Ich nicht beurteilen. Da Ich AP echt nur auf Flache Breitseite benutze. Aber Durchschlag kann Ich bestätigen. Zumindest so halb. -
For those who got GENOVA via the random/"random" 22-part queue, at which place did you get it?

Got it at 16th -
I dont think you can call us Friends. Given we only Talked a few Times and we actually Disagreed on almost everything except that Graf Zeppelin Dive Bombers need a Buff. As for German CV Line. Right now I find myself more and more in the "Remove CVs" Camp. If WG wont Fix them Properly. Then the only Choice is to have them Removed from the Game entirely. CVs are by their very Nature an Extremely Influental Class. This will never Change. So there is only 2 Changes. Either they are Appropriately Hard to Play to warrant that Influence. Or they are Overpowered as **** because you make them easy to Play and thus cause a Situation where good Players will just Massacre everything without effort. If WG cant Accept this and Choose Balance over some Silly Notion of needing X Percent of Players Playing them to be Happy. Then the only Solution is to Remove CVs.

Italienische Kreuzer (SAP) - Ein Griff ins Klo WG
Sunleader replied to Halz's topic in Allgemeine Diskussionen
Reminds me of Air Supplement. Where the Winrate Percentage for CV Class is higher than the Winrate Percentages for all other classes added up.... But you will always have people Defending the Indefensible. Even more so when its something they Profit from. Bigger Issue is however that Wargaming has pretty much Decided that they will rather have CVs Ridiculously Overpowered than have a low CV Population. And well. A if you keep the System so easy for CVs that even a Noob which has 30-40% Winrate will easily achieve over 50k average damage and nearly 1 kill per Match. Then of course anyone with some Actual Skill will be able to Dominate a Battle without much effort.

Isnt that Standard for him ? As long as I have known him in this Forum. His main Strategy of Discussion has been to be Completely Ignorant of the Answers he didnt like and just keep making the same Claim over and over again pretending you did not answer him while hoping if he just makes that claim often enough he will get an different Answer he likes at some point. I sometimes think he is mistaking this for some sort of Single Player Game where he is trying to reload the Savegame until he gets the Result he wants..... Invalid Argument. Because avoiding 100% Shutdown Situations for Player A always means a 100% Shutdown Situation for Player B. Right now CVs are Completely Protected from 100% Shutdown Situations. But that also means that they can Force a 100% Shutdown Situation for 2 out of the 3 other Classes. DDs right now can easily be 100% Shutdown by a CV if he wants to. Because if the CV Focusses him not only is the CV Guaranteed to Kill them given enough Attacks with Assault Aircraft. But by keeping them Spotted the DD also loses all Options in the Match and thus is Practically Completely Excluded from the Match. A Cruiser as well can be 100% Shutdown by a CV if he wants to. Because if the CV decides to Focus him he will pretty much always get an Attack through and the Cruiser which does not have the HP Pool and Armor. (And below T9 not even a Heal to at least Recover part of the HP Losses) Thanks to that a Cruiser which is Reliant on using Cover and Concealment to Avoid Direct Fights with BBs is also 100% Shutdown if the CV decides to Focus him. Currently the only Class which has a Chance of not being 100% Shutdown by CV is BBs. And only if they belong to the BBs with Sufficient AA Power to cause losses to the CV Faster than their own HP Pool Drops. As a Haku for example. Sinking a Full Yamato requires some Time. But its absolutely no Problem to do it. If a Haku wants a Yamato out of the Battle he can do that. Because the Yamato will either Die or will be forced to move away from the Battle. But a Montana will Generally cause too much losses for the CV to 100% Shut it Down. As you will simply run out of Aircraft before he Runs out of HP. Therefore the Argument that its a Game and 100% Shutdown Situations should be Avoided is Completely Invalid. Because whenever you Guarantee one side to not be 100% Shutdown you Automaticly also Guarantee that this side can force a 100% Shutdown on the other side. But Yes. We Argued this 100 Times already. And nothing has Changed......

I would not even mind Repeating things and Explaining it to everyone anew who comes in here without reading the other hundreds of pages. I am not even Angry at them. Cause I would not want to read all of this either. But for 3 Updates in a Row now. Wargaming has done nothing on CVs. Its pretty obvious at this Point that Wargaming is ready to Bleed the other Classes Dry as long as it means they get their CV Player Quota. So there really is nothing to say. WG knows that CVs are Ridiculously Overpowered. And by Unpinning this Topic they made Pretty Clear that they no longer care what the Community thinks about the Issue. They wont change anything because the only way they can keep people Interested in Playing CV without doing another Full Rework of the Class. Is to keep CVs ridiculously Overpowered. They know they will lose 3k Players from the other Classes for each 1k they Gain on CV Players. But its a Price they are obviously ready to Pay. Thats all there is to it. Complaining about a Game is something you only do when you care about the Game and thus want bad things of that Game to be changed. But I just dont care about this Game anymore. So it makes no sense for to waste time complaining in its Forums.

why german BBs should be the worst BB line in game?
Sunleader replied to Admiral_AHR_TheNightmare's topic in General Discussion
It doesnt need to Solve everything. A Step in the Right Direction would already be extremely Helpful even if it does not Fix everything. To begin with its unlikely you will ever find a Perfect Balance which you can just Adjust to in One Step. Instead it makes sense to just make One Change like this 1.9 Sigma and then Check again how far away you are from an Acceptable Balance before deciding if you want to take further Steps and what Steps to take. As for Bad Accuracy causing more Hits from Wrong Aiming. This is really minimal. Because wrong Aiming mostly happens on High Range or when Targets Drive Diagonally towards the Player which many Players dont know how to Aim for. In both cases however wrong Aiming tends to be so wrong that you wont hit even with the increased Spread. If you ask me. Especially on the Receiving end of German Guns this is more of an Misunderstanding. Because when your the one who is Fired upon by a German Battleship. Something that sometimes happens. Is that 1 Single Shell hits you for a Citadel while the a Bunch of Shells lands to your Right and maybe 1 more Shell further to your Left. Thanks to that the Ship which was Fired upon often thinks that he got Unlucky as he assumes that the Actual Place Aimed for what where the Bunch of Shells landed and that the Shell which hit him. Was actually just some Shell which landed in the Outer Spread Range of the Salvo. The Truth however is very often different. And the one Shell was actually simply the only Shell landing remotely in the Area where the German BB had Aimed. You can See this Pattern alot on German BBs. An Enemy Ship goes Straight towards you. You fire at it. And then what you see. Is that 6 of your Shells go about the Length of a Cruiser to the Right or Left of the Enemy Ship. 1 Shell landing actually where you Aimed and likely hitting the Enemy Ship. And 1 more Shell for whatever Reason flying straight in the other Direction thus landing a Cruiser Length to the Left of your Target. When your Fired upon. The Logical Conclusion most People Draw is that the 2 Shells were strays from bad Accuracy and the 6 Shells were the Area where the German BB Aimed. While in Reality the 6 Shells were actually the Horrible Sigma at work causing most of the Salvos Shells to just go to the Outer Right Edge of the Possible Spread.... -
CV's shouldnt be in the game, by a CV player
Sunleader replied to Black_Prince42's topic in General Discussion
Because Wargaming is Dishonest not Stupid. They know just how Insanely Overpowered and Influental CVs are. And that if a CV can Kill the Enemy CV without losing most of his own Efficiency. The Game is basicly over for the Enemy Team entirely without them having any chance of really doing anything about it. -
why german BBs should be the worst BB line in game?
Sunleader replied to Admiral_AHR_TheNightmare's topic in General Discussion
Well if you Buffed em this Far that is True. But who says you have to Buff them all the Way to this State ? German BBs got Horrible Accuracy and usually among the Weakest Guns of their Respective Tier. So if you for example just Buffed their Accuracy on Short Ranges. They would already be massively Improved. They would however still stay behind other BBs in Damage Output for the Simple Reason that they still have a Lower Alpha Damage Output to begin with as they tend to have Lower Calibre or less Guns than their Counterparts. For example. If German BBs received 1.9 Sigma by Default rather than 1.8 Sigma like they got right now. They would Likely Perform alot Better. But they would be far away from being Overpowered. On T8 the Bismarck would have slightly Better Accuracy than the Amagi. But the Amagi still would have an Additional Gun Turret and Bigger Guns to Boot. The Richi would have slightly worse Accuracy and the same Guns. But thanks to tis 2x4 Turret Configuration would still have the Huge Advantage of constantly Bowtanking with Full Firepower and still have a better Spread thanks to its Guns being close together to begin with. On T9 the FdG would still have one of the Lowest Firepower as well. But would at least have Similar Hitrates to other T9 BBs. And even on T10 the GK would barely have Equal Damage Output to a Montana thanks to these Both Battleships having the lowest Penetration Values and Generally having Trouble Penetrating anything but Flat Broadsides. -
why german BBs should be the worst BB line in game?
Sunleader replied to Admiral_AHR_TheNightmare's topic in General Discussion
Do they ? Because from what I see. They Perform way worse than other BB Lines in higher Tiers. Unlike the Tables Colonel Pete likes to make up and which usually just Rank by some Irrelevant Stat like Winrate which tells you almost nothing about the Ship because its Differences in the Single Digit Few Percent Ranges at best. And among the more Played Ships at 0.x Percent Ranges... (Which is not Surprising because A. BBs are Generally not the most Influent Class and thus have one of the least Effects on Winrate unless you got a Pro Player which however will usually Win with any Ship. And B. the Matchmaker just Loves to Stack Ships against themselves whenever possible. Thus there for example almost always being a GK on both sides of a Battle. Thanks to that the WR Stats are Generally Random and Tell you almost nothing because the Random Factor is way bigger than the Potential Differences.) In General German BBs. Have the Lowest Average Damage. Have the Lowest Kill Ratio per Game. Have the Lowest Kill ratio per Death. Have the Lowest Experience Reward due to having the Lowest Contribution to the Match. (Which is not Surprising because they are Bottom Ranked in Kills and Damage) Out of the 6 Silver BBs. The German BBs in all of these Rankings will Generally Rank on 5 and 6 with rare cases of Ranking 4th. The only Part where German BBs tend to be somewhat higher is Winrate. In Generally LESS THAN 1% Better or Worse than the Next Ship. And in General somewhere around 48% But the only Ships really Breaking further Away in either Direction of these 48-49% Mark is the Ships which only Few Players Play and which thus have an very High Error Range. But Hey. Lets take a Look at Global Statistics for this. This is how German BBs Rank across the Different Stats. Rank 1 being the Best of the Silver BBs. And Rank 6 being the Worst. Tier 10 Winrate = 3 Damage = 6 Kills per Battle = 4 Kills per Death = 6 Average Contribution to Battle = 6 Tier 9 Winrate = 5 Damage = 6 Kills per Battle = 6 Kills per Death = 6 Average Contribution to Battle = 6 Tier 8 Winrate = 5 Damage = 5 Kills per Battle = 4 Kills per Death = 6 Average Contribution to Battle = 5 Tier 7 Winrate = 4 Damage = 6 Kills per Battle = 4 Kills per Death = 6 Average Contribution to Battle = 6 Tier 6 Winrate = 6 Damage = 5 Kills per Battle = 5 Kills per Death = 5 Average Contribution to Battle = 6 Tier 5 Winrate = 2 Damage = 3 Kills per Battle = 3 Kills per Death = 2 Average Contribution to Battle = 4 Tier 4 Winrate = 2 Damage = 3 Kills per Battle = 3 Kills per Death = 3 Average Contribution to Battle = 3 Tier 3 Winrate = 1 Damage = 1 Kills per Battle = 1 Kills per Death = 1 Average Contribution to Battle =2 Notice Something ? :) The Only Range where German BBs Perform Good is the Lower Tiers. Which is Hilariously the Tiers where they dont get the Long Range Secondaries But do you know what German BBs have on these Tiers ? Thats Right. Equal Accuracy of their Guns. On Tier 3 the Nassau has the same Accuracy as the other BBs in that Tier as well as usually the same amount of Guns. And since its Low Tier. The Turtleback Armor actually means something because many Noobs will go Broadside. Thanks to that German BBs Perform Admirably here. On Tier 4 the Kaiser is actually one of the most Accurate BBs. Because the BBs with more Guns have much Worse Sigma Value. And the BBs with higher Sigma Value have far less Guns. On Tier 5 the König has more Guns than several Others but still the same Sigma Value which is an Exclusive because it gives the König an Advanced Firepower. But after that ? After that German BBs goes to Crab in Terms of Accuracy Compared to other BBs. And thus also go to Crab in General Performance. Bayern on Tier 6 is Faced with Ships which either have the same Guns but Better Accuracy. Or have Lightly less or Equal Accuracy but More Guns. (This is also why the Prinz Eitel Friedrich Premium which for most Part is a Bayern with Smaller Guns does so much Better simply because its got higher Accuracy and actually Hits Enemies) Gneisenau on Tier 7 sure is a Great Ship in General. But it gets only 6 Guns and no Buff to Accuracy at all. Meaning that most of the Time you wont Hit anything. Bismarck on Tier 8 is the First German Ship with Secondaries that work on High Range but Guess what. Other Nations BBs get 40cm Guns, more Guns or Higher Accuracy. Thanks to which they just Massacre you with your 8 Guns which wont hit the Broadside of a Barn 5 meters away. FDG on Tier 9 ? Oh pls lets not Talk about it. This one is just Frustrating.... And Finally on Tier 10 the GK. The Light of Hope thanks to the 12 Guns. You Still have Horrible Accuracy but at least you throw enough Crab at the Wall right ? Well Yeah. In a Sense at least. Because guess what. While you for the First Time get Additional Guns and thus with the same Accuracy Start Hitting a few Shells. ALL other Nations immediately get a Huge Accuracy Buff so they Hit even Better and leave you in the Dirt once more.... The King Stat for a BB is Accuracy. Which is not Surprising. Because ALL BBs have Fairly Thick Armor, ALL BBs have Big Guns that can Delete People, ALL BBs have high Range to Shoot People from afar. It makes barely any Difference if a Shell hits your Citadel for 11.5k and 10.5k Damage. Or if an Overpen Hits you for 1150 Damage or for 1050 Damage. Because the Difference is so Marginal that Nobody Cares. But when an Amagi Hits you with 3 out of 10 Shells and does about 10k Damage to you (Pens) while Bismarck Hits you with 1 out of 8 Shells doing 3k (Pens) Damage to you. Then this is an Difference that Matters. Because the Amagi Deals 3 times as much Damage in that Salvo. Now a bit of that is Negated as Bismarck at least Shoots more often. So it comes out to 5k vs 10k Damage in the same Time Frame. But the Fact Remains. Amagi will Kill you in a Bismarck unless you can somehow Outplay him. But if you can Outplay him then this is your Player Skill vs his Lack of Player Skill and would work the same the other way around. And the other way around it would work even easier because then you got the Superior Ship. In the end of the Day. German BBs need an Accuracy Buff. Its a Joke anyways. In Reality. German Optical Fire Control was the best out of all Nations in WW2. Giving them the Best Short Range Accuracy in Naval Warfare. So on longer Ranges where US for example had Radar and where the Japanese were Proficient at using Scout Plane Data for Firing. It is Perfectly Understandable if Germans got Bad Accuracy. But on Short Range like 10km where the Firing was done using the Optical Range Finders and Fire Control ? Here Germany should have among the Best Accuracy out of all Nations. Especially thanks to their High Velocity Guns Firing in a Pretty Flat Trajectory. But Guess what. German Accuracy even at lower Ranges remains the absolute Worst thanks to Magic Sigma Value making sure than all of your Shells even on Low Range will find a Way to Bagdad rather than to the Point your Aiming at.. -
why german BBs should be the worst BB line in game?
Sunleader replied to Admiral_AHR_TheNightmare's topic in General Discussion
Thing is. 8 Citadels is an extremely rare case. And Bismarck or FdG Showing Broadside 9km from JB will still eat nearly 30k Damage Moreover this Citadel Protection is an Double Edged Sword especially in close Quarters. Very often when I fire at BBs into Broadside from 5-6km distance I effectively instead of Citadels end up getting Overpens thus only doing like 10k Damage. But against Bismarck this cant happen either. You get Full Pens for 30k Damage. In General the Armor of the German BBs is Incredible Bad in the Games System. The Problem is that the Games System adds Damage based on its own little Ruleset. For Example. German BBs have a Gigantic Superstructure which is easy to hit as it Covers 2/3 of the Central Deck. Your Central Deck itself is 50mm thick but you cant really use it because of that Superstructure. Against HE. The HE Shells will hit the Superstructure and not only easily put you aflame thanks to that. But also give you lots of Damage very Easily. Worse however is AP on Long Range. Because on Longer Ranges 15km+ the Shells Landing in your Superstructure will Hit the Deck afterwards. And as they dont Penetrate the Deck they then get stuck in the Gigantic Superstructure and count as Full Pen. On other BBs they would only hit the Deck and Bounce. But as they did not enter the Superstructure First they wont count as Penetration. On Bismarck and other German BBs this is how I can easily Put Full Damage Hits on them even when they try to Bowtank me. This is one Reason why Soviet BBs are so much more Tanky than the German ones. They dont have this Gigantic Superstructure and since its thinner as well. Even if you Hit the Superstructure Tower while the Soviet BB is Bowtanking you. The Shells will leave the Tower again before they Hit the Deck and Bounce. So they end up outside and thus only Deal Overpen Damage. The Worst however is and stays the Horrid Accuracy on German BBs. If you Fire at a Target 2km away. Aiming Exactly at the Waterline. The Result will still be that out of 8 Shells. 4 Land Short, 1 Hit the Belt often only doing Full Pen or if your less Lucky even Overpen instead of Citadel, 1 Hit the Superstructure for Overpen, and 2 going over the Ship entirely...... And this is just Ridiculous. -
What rubbish are you talking about ????? Controlling a Fleet in a Tabletop or RPG is no Problem because you do it in turns and not in Realtime..... BFGA is Realtime. And if you want to Compete you have to give about 15 Orders in 3 Seconds.... If you dont get this I suggest a Simple test. You take 4 Ships in BFG and then Fight 4 Players each Commanding just 1 Ship. I can promise you. 90% of the time at least 2 of your Ships will be useless cause you cant keep up with actually Commanding all at once properly.

No Heresy here. Move along ^^

Then its not that you have no Problems with controlling multiple ships. Its just that your facing a vastly Inferior Enemy where it doesnt matter so much to have Control of your Ships. Funny enough you can Compare it with Coop Mode in World of Warships. Because the NPCs in WoWs Suffer from the same Issue. The AI is not Capable of Strategical or even Tactical thinking. So just like in Warhammer 40k it just rushes towards you spamming its consumables/abilities as they come at you with little to no tactical Value and thus mostly to no effect. Therefore it just doesnt matter against NPCs. Just like in WoWs against NPCs you have no need to Utilize Stealth or Micromanage Damage Control and Repairs etc. NPCs dont employ Advanced Tactics like Changing Target after planting a Fire or Prioritizing a Target that has used Damage Control. They dont stay outside Spotting Range with their DD etc etc. Battlefleet is the same. NPCs are just not Capable of Micromanaging themselves. So it doesnt matter if you cant do it either. (Albeit on the other hand it often results in Experienced Players considering the Campaign to be Hilariously easy because they can Fight pretty much every Battle without any real Effort and end up Bored as the NPC Fleets pose no Challenge at all against their Micromanaged Fleet just taking them apart without losses even tough the NPC Started out with a Superior Fleet....)

Opposite actually. Battlefleet Gothic Armada really Suffers from this. Because the Ships in Warhammer 40k are Extremely Detailed with alot of Options in Battle and alot of Maneuvering and Tactics Required. (Well as to be Expected of Capital Warships) Which makes it Literally Impossible to do it Properly with Several Ships at once like you have to in Battlefleet Gothic Armada. A World of Warships Type of Game where every Player Controls only 1 Warhammer 40k Ship for himself. Would thus be Extremely Prudent and make much more Sense. But as I said above. That is only if its a Stand Alone Gamemode/Game that is NOT mixing into the World of Warships WW2 Game.

Well it Depends on what actually happens. If it was a Spin Off Game. So not part of World of Warships but rather its own Game Featuring Warhammer 40k Naval Battles. I would likely get it. I consider the Naval Battles in Warhammer 40k to be rather Interesting. And given the Excessive Micromanagement of Ships in Warhammer 40k. A World of Warships Style Game is likely much better suited than Battlefleet Gothic Armada where you control several Ships at once. If its just a Collab with some Commanders and Skins. I would likely ignore it. And Potentially even Disable it from Showing for me. Simply because its just not really fitting into the Narrative of WW2 Naval Battles for me.
