Why would they Reply to it ? They have an Official Post which tells you excactly what happens. They have Repeated Several Times that this will not be Changed when it was asked in the Forum, on Streams and on Discord. You Disagreeing with that Answer wont change the Fact that it was given. -

1+2. Well then Submarines it is. Because guess what. WG wants to do Subs and apparently People still throw Money at WG :) 3. Nope. And thats the thing. You want them to make you Happy and dont give a Crab about them making me Happy. I meanwhile want them to make me Happy while I dont really care if your Happy with it :) Now WG will of course Choose to make Happy whoever is likely to Produce the most Money. And that can be done either by making the Whales Happy. Or by making the Majority of Players Happy. Or if Possible Both. And Guess what. Conclusion is SUBMARINESs :) Also. Pls Spare me the Doomsday Predictions. They are incredible boring and can be proven wrong with a Single look at WoWs Playercounts.... -
The more Importand thing is. For anything to work on WG you would actually need to have an Agreement on what you want. And this wont happen. Because dont get me wrong there. But I absolutely dont want this Game to be Historical or Realistic to an even remotely similar extend to what some others here would like. If I want a Realistic Game I go Play War Thunder. So in my Eyes. Realism and History would already be Served good enough if the Game would actually have Teams consist of Factions that at least were Allied to some Degree or at least not have the same Faction on both sides. And if the Game would actually have a bit more Module Damages and bit less Hull Damages from Hits. So there would be some actual Feeling of Driving a Ship and not just a Computer Unit with x HP that will Die if it got hit often enough even if those hits werent really relevant to that Ships ability to Float or Fight. And thats about it. I dont support Removing CVs. But dont get this Wrong. I dont Support them being here either. For me the Only Relevant thing is to have the Game working in a Halfwat Balanced Way. And currently Fixing CVs seems more easy to Achieve than Removing them. Hence me not Supporting to Remove them and Instead just wanting them Balanced Properly and not be Overpowered as they currently are.

Because your Argument is basicly "It was there in History so it must be here" which is ridiculous because this is a Game. Not History. And this Game is not Historical in any Way. The Pixels you see on Screen might share the Name of an Actual Ship that Existed in History. But its an entirely Different thing. Sure. In the Game we have a Ship Named Bismarck. And by some Coincidence in Reality we also have a Ship Named Bismarck. But the Bismarck in the Game has different Guns, different Range, different AA, different Armor thickness and is Equipped with something that is working much more like Accurate Active Sonar which the Real Bismarck never had while the Real Bismarck actually had Radar and Torpedoes which that Ship which is sharing the Name in the Game does not have at all. History is not Relevant to this Game. And History is not a Reason to Include anything into this Game. I dont actually Support Removing CVs from the Game. But your Reasoning that CVs must be Included in this Game just because they were there in History is not just Wrong. Because CVs in History would never Participate in a Battle like this and would instead just Turn around and Run away till they are at a Range far beyond anything you can even reach in this Game when place 2 Ships at exactly opposite Corners of the Biggest Map. But also because this Game doesnt care for History in the Slightest. This Games relation to history is effectively the same as Command and Conquer Red Alert. Sure. The Factions Named actually Exist. And the Battles take Place in Places that actually appear on the Real World Map. But not only are the Factions and Places entirely Different from their Real Counterparts. But they also include tons of stuff that wasnt existing at all in a scenario that wasnt existing at all :)

Yes but the non Paper Ships are completely Unhistorical. They look a bit Similar and have the Same Name and thats it. Moreover we dont just have the Real Ships We have Paper Ships and Complete Fantasy Ships. Thats a Fact. The Historical Commanders are Names only. Their Skills and Abilities are also Complete Fantasy and often not even Remotely related to their Actual Position lol. Nothing about this Game is even Remotely Historical. This Game is 99% Fantasy with 1% History. And Sorry. But Historical Accuracy is entirely Irrelevant to the Game. If this Game was even Remotely Historical Accurate. A Destroyer would have absolutely nothing to do against a Battleship because it would be Spotted 15km Away and instantly be Fired upon by the Secondary Battery with no Chance to ever get close enough to Drop Torpedoes. Fires on the Superstructure would not cause any Hull Damage. And an Aircraft Carrier would basicly Sortie the Planes on Deck exactly Once assuming they are Prepared before the Battle. Because Preparing them takes way longer than the Entire Battle. So you would Launch 40-80 Aircraft exactly Once. Half of which would be Fighters with no Weapons against Ships whatsoever. And which would have an Accuracy of Hitting about 1 out of 50 Bombs. (And thats a Really good Ratio. Against Yamato it was 1 out of 200....) Funny enough. Realism Focus and Focus on History. Is exactly the Reason. Why you will never see Player Controlled Aircraft Carriers in War Thunder. Because they would just not work in any Historical or Realistic Setup.

Counter Question. Do you claim that if you just had a Smolensk you would be Instantly Unicum with it ? Because see thats the thing. Smolensk is easy to Play indeed. And I see nothing wrong with that. Being easy to Play is not a Crime for Ships lol. But what does Smolensk provide beyond that ? It can be Citadeled by T8 Battleships using HE from any Angle. So the Moment you meet a BB Player which doesnt reallize that not just your Guns but also your Armor is basicly that of a Destroyer and thus Switches to HE instead of trying to somehow get his AP Shells stuck in your Nonexistent Armor. You are Dead very Quickly. Likewise if you meet Ships like US or British Cruisers with Slower or Shorter Fused AP you are suddenly an Super Squishy Target often Onehit due to your Citadel being Pretty Big and its only Defence being that its barely Armored and thus will be Overpenetrated by most AP Shells. So Yes. Smolensk is very easy to Play. Just like Minotaur its Skill Bar is basicly to Drive Forward. Smoke up and Start Spamming Shells at anything inside your Range. But lets Face it. Minotaur has Super Heal Paired with British Cruiser Ability to just Heal Citadel Damage back up. Its AP has higher DPS while at the same time being Larger Caliber with Improved Pen Angles. Meaning its way Superior in actual Combat against Smolensk. Needless to say it has more Torpedoes with more Range and the Special Ability to Lop them all into one Spot in close Quarters to Nose Torp a BB trying to Rush it. And the last Part of your Post is the thing. See Mate. The Playerbase which wants to have a Simulation with Historical Ships and Historical Ship Capabilities is an extremely small Niche. Not even Accounting for 10% of the Playerbase. War Thunder. A Game Focused on Historical Accuracy and Realism to a Far Bigger Extend than World of Warships. Has a Vastly Smaller Playerbase. And even in that Playerbase. The amount of Players actually Playing the more Realistic Modes like Simulator Battle are extremely Small Portion of that Playerbase. And there I have to Say I am heavily Dissappointed and very Disgusted by you. Because you straight out Hurl Insults at everyone outside your small Playerniche of People which unlike you dont care for Naval History and Realistic Accuracy. You completely Refuse to Accept that there is other Opinions than your that could be Valid. And You Immediately Insult everyone thinking differently and claim them to be some sort of Inferior Children or something. Which Sorry to Tell you. Is not exactly something that would Show Maturity on your own Account. Quite the Opposite to be Honest. The Players this Game is getting Mate. Is PLAYERS. People who want to PLAY A GAME. If you want a Simulation because your a Fan of Naval History and want it to be as close to Reality as Possible. Then Sorry. But this is clearly the Wrong Game for you. And it has always been. Because this Game has ALWAYS been a 100% Arcade Game in which Gameplay and Fun has ALWAYS been a 10 times higher Priority than Historical Accuracy. Maybe try War Thunder. They care for Historical Accuracy even if it means taking some hitches in Gameplay. -

No. What World of Tanks tried was not Nation vs Nation Battlemode. They tried a Historical Battlemode. In which they effectively decided a Stringend Lineup of Tanks with Historical Loadouts and often Different Numbers of Teammembers on each side. This was extremely Limited and with a completely Manual adjusted Balancing because WG removed Modules from Tanks to make them Historical. Meaning you had Tiger 1 Tanks which could not even Penetrate a T34s Frontal Armor because the Tiger 1 was Limited to the Short Barreled 88mm Gun which in WoTs unrealistic Armor Penetration Calculation was Incredible Bad against the Steeply Angled Armor of the T34. And was then Send to Fight in a 1 vs 4 Situation against these T34s. A Proper Nation Battlemode would not try to Replicate Soviet Numerical Superiority in a System were German Technical Superiority isnt Existent thanks to the Game Mechanics not Featuring it. Thats a Personal Opinion of yours. One that is Factually not Shared with the Majority as Evidenced by the Fact that WoWs is still growing its Playerbase. -

see below I dont Agree with WG Judgement on at least Half of what they Do. And I clearly think they should listen to the Community more. But make no Mistake. It is absolutely Evident on Player Numbers that they are not messing up as Badly as People claim. And the Fact is. WoWs has not been going Downhill at all. WoWs has been increasing its Playerbase ever so Slightly for the last Years Steadily. So you might Argue if they had done better they might have increased the Playerbase even more. But claiming they have been going Downhill is Factually wrong and only Undermines your own Arguments. -

Erm Mate. WG is making up almost everything. Not a Single Ship in the Game is Historically Accurate. Moreover the Tier System is effectively completely made up as well. And Ship Classes are decided based on WGs Idea of the Game. They are quite Unhistorical in most Aspects. To begin with. If this Game was Historical. CVs would need to be Removed ASAP. Because CVs were not supposed to Join Nacal Battles. CVs worked by sending Aircraft from far outside Artillery Range. If a CV came within 30km of an Enemy Fleet he would turn around and Run away. CVs needed to have vast amounts of Fuel and Ammunition on Deck to Service Aircraft. Without that they could not actually Sortie any Aircraft. Thats why if they came into Range of Enemy Artillery. They would Dump everything over Board and Retreat while Escort covers them. Thus losing all Capacity of Sortieing Aircraft. So from an Historical Aspect. Having CVs in a Naval Battle is a complete and utter Joke. And just saying. But CVs were not Surface Combatants either. CVs are a Mobile Airfield. The Combatants are the Aircraft carried by them. Funny enough. Merchant Ships were Involved in Direct Combat far more often than CVs.

By that Logic we need to Implement Merchant and Supply Ships. They also played super Importand Roles. This is an Arcade Game. History is entirely irrelevant.

Which would be stupid. Might happen. And would likely be fixed short time later as soon as people spam Forums with Screenshots of Subs being Top Tier while all DDs are T5 without ASW. Sorry. But that Question is a Joke. Its good for a Laugh. But thats about it. -
Your Result is Completely Normal. T10s are Extremely bad at Earning Base Exp anyways. Because T8 and T9 Ships you Attack give you far less Exp. And other T10s just give Base Value. Meanwhile a T8 Attacking a T10 gets Good Bonus Exp. If you had been in a T8 Ship in this exact Game with that Result. You would have easily gotten 2k or more Base Exp. But with a T10 getting over 2k is pretty Hard.

1. If it requires Activity its not an AFK Mechanic. And if it requires Activity ASAP its actually even less of an AFK Mechanic. This was a TimeLimited Event. A Race against the ticking Clock. Lol AFK Mechanics on mobile Games are stuff like Sending Ships out to do Missions for Ressources or Perform Research without you doing anything. By the Way. If WG Adopted these instead of the Gacha Mechanics I wouldnt be bothered in Slightest. Lol 2. Thats your Opinion and on top that Minor Issues with a Prototype Class. I am dairly sure there will be aChange to Issues like faceplant torps and 6m toggle abuse. 3. Sure Mate. If I got an Euro each time people say that but then are still here weeks later. I would be Millionaire by now. 1. By that Logic you should stop playing Games. Experience Shows most New Games dont hold what they Promise. So yeah. Never Buy a Game again. 2. Not enough Mate. New Map keeps me Busy for maybe 5 Matches if at all. New Gamemode will Split Playerbase and can only be done so often. Needless to say. According to your own statement above. 1. Debatable. Since CVs have no real Control about their Altitude on Aircraft. The Altitudes are 100% Preset. While Subs have full Control of their Depth and also have to use this as its Importand to their Abilities. I mean sure. You can try and claim its still a Similiraty. But then you could just as well claim both Ships Swim and are made of Steel....... 2. Thats Factually Wrong. Submarines are Directly Countered by DDs and Light Cruisers which are not just Difficult Targets but are in Fact capable of Directly Attacking and Killing them. -

1. I will dismiss that one even more Quickly. Because that Event required a Crabton of Activity. In fact so much Friggin Activity that it was Absurd. I never heard of an AFK mechanic that expects you to Play 12 Hours a Day without Breaks to reach your Goals..... 2. No it Didnt. Everything he said was completely public knowledge and public rumors etc. It had nothing to do with Insider Information. Which is not Surprising. Because if he actually gave out Insider Information this would very likely be a Breach of Contract and Result in Legal Action against him for Disclosing Internal (Insider) Information of the Company. Sorry Mate. But he effectively just picked up stuff that has been circulating on Reddit and this Forum for Months. 3. I have no Idea how you come to the Idea that Submarines would be even remotely similar to Carriers. Given that there is Literally not a Single thing they have in Common. But thats not really relevant. You see I dont really mind you on this. You are perfectly entitled to your Opinion and the only Person who can Decide if you like the Game or not. Is You and You alone. Thing is. While you might dislike it. I do like it. And given that the Queue for Submarines was filled with Submarines to the Brim the moment People got them from the stupid gacha. Means that there seems to be a quite large amount of people also Interested in them. -

I somehow doubt that. No Offense Intended. But I do have a feeling that you guys are forgetting that the People you all Supertesters tend to have a somewhat higher Baseline in their Average Performance than the General Playerbase. Especially in terms of using Specialized Equipment like Hydro. Because I can already Guarantee you this. This Ship will be Complete Trash in the Hands of the Average Player as they will get Torpedoed over and over. And thanks to the non Existent Torpedo Protection and low HP. They will effectively Sink after 2 Torpedo Hits. I would also really Question the Guy who Wrote that Dev Blog. I mean Sorry. But you basicly Try to Sell this Ship as a Long Range Accurate Sniper. But its Accuracy is 1 to 1 the same as Scharnhorst. Which means its not Accurate at all lol. And German HE is Crab while the Low Caliber AP cant Pen most Targets at longer Ranges. So this Ship has 0 Potential as a Sniper. It just doesnt pack the Firepower for it. But thanks to Low HP Pool its also Impossible to Brawl with it. You say it would be Reasonable to Push other T6-8 Battleships. But I call BS on that. Because with that HP Pool you will be Focused down and Killed like a Yoloing Cruiser lol. The Second Part of your Post is Interesting tough. Because TLDR this could be Interpreted as "Well we have this Policy that says we are not Allowed to Nerf Premium Ships after they are Released. So we have to make sure that Odin enters Underpowered so that once its released we can then Balance it purely by Buffing as we are not allowed to Nerf it. Thing is. I fear you will be Wasting the Dockyard thing again with this Move. Because what you guys are doing right now Feels like your giving the Middle Finger to the Community. You clearly know the Communities Complains about this. Otherwise you would not have Spend 80% of that Devblog Explaining why you think your right to nerf the Odin into Oblivion. Yet you not only retract the Nerfs but you also pile further Nerfs onto it. Community is up in Arms already. And you keep making it worse. I am not sure why. But you guys have a Talent for throwing Gasoline Canisters into Dumpster Fires dont you ???? 1. We see that Pattern as well. Which is that usually these Ships end up OP or Crab and pretty often the Community was right about what it turned out to be in the end. Which is not Surprising really. Because as I said before. Problem with Spreadsheet is that it only Judges Average Performance and Ignores Potential Performance. Which is of course a Horrible Pairing with the Supertester System which effectively Judges alot on Potential Performance rather than Average Performance as the Supertesters tend to be more Experienced Players. 2. I can answer that for you. The Reason for the Irrelevant Buffs that make no actual Difference in the Game itself. Is because Wargaming is well aware that the Community consider Odin and Underpowered Piece of Trash and thus will Cry out Hard if its just Nerfed. So Wargaming tought that maybe they can Hide the Nerf behind some Irrelevant Buffs so they dont have to call it an Straight Nerf and can claim its just a Sidegrade change. 3. See Point 1. 4. Well. XL Scharnhorst ? Sorry. But right now if Odin and Scharnhorst Fought 1 vs 1 with 2 Equally Skilled Players. I would Bet on Scharnhorst. Odin cant Overmatch the 25mm Plating. And Scharnhorst has more HP, more Firepower and more Range. Scharnhorst is effectively Better in all the Primary Aspects. Odin only is Superior in some Secondary aspects like AA, Secondary Armament and Torpedoes. So in a Direct 1 vs 1 Scharnhorst would actually have the Advantage. In fact given the Odins lower HP. It is actually likely that Scharnhorst would even in a Brawl be very easily Capable of Winning the Fight or doing a Double KO because both of them are unlikely to Torpedo each other entirely Undamaged. And neither of them can Take the other ones Torpedo Salvo when Damaged. And Scharnhorst is actually Capable of Launching its Torpedoes earlier thanks to Torpedoes being more to the Front of the Ship and thus can Expose much less Broadside to actually Launch them. At this Point. If you gave Scharnhorst 32mm Plating for Bow and Stern. But otherwise just left the Ship entirely the same. It would be a vastly Superior T8 Ship to Odin. Likewise if you removed 32mm Plating from Odin and put it down to T7 it would still be entirely Inferior to Scharnhorst. -

I would guess around Christmas. Currently the next Event will be Odin and Soviet Light Cruisers. Which will be June to July. From July to August there will be some Filler Event and Second Half of Odin. Maybe a Filler based on Second Part of Soviet Light Cruisers. From August to October we will have German Carrier Events. Also likely coming with 2 Events. ( i actually hope the German T6 Premium CV will be the Directives Top Reward for one of these Events) And in October to November/December there will be another Shorter Filler Event. Maybe something we dont yet know off. Before during Christmas we will get the Big One. Which will be Submarines. Yes and No. I saw Earl Grays Video as well. But I think alot of it is Biased by his Butthurt about being thrown under the Bus as a Scapegoat for Puerto Rico Event. WG using alot of Habit Creating Event Tactics is True. But this is what Communities usually ask for. Constant Events. Constant New Entertainment. Nowdays if you dont do that. Your Players tend to Run away fast because they say you dont care about the Game and dont bother making Events thus every day being the same. Only Complaint I have on that. Is that Wargaming is not very Creative with it. I didnt like Savage Battles. But at least it was something Fresh. And thus way better than just another Round of Sink 100 Ships do 1 Million Damage etc. Gambling is a Problem to be Honest. And the main Complaint I have on the Game. I tend to rather just Buy stuff. Not Gamble for it. I dont mind Paying for Games. As I am a Shift Worker I tend to be Paid Well and usually end up having Problems with affording things in terms of Time rather than having Problems affording things with Money. But I do dislike Gambling. Last one is Bogus tough. The Game has no AFK or Idle Game Mechanics. And if they try to make us Hoard I dont think it works. Because I usually just go for the Ships I want and Discard the rest. Ultimately. You Playing or not Playing is your Choice. But your being Bored right now before Submarines already. Meaning that Submarines at least bring something new to the Table. And its something Gameplay wise. Not just a Gambling Mechanics or some new Trophy to Place in Port. I hope it will mix up Gameplay and Create a new more Open Meta with more Viable Options :) But thats me Hoping. Its just as much a Guess as others fearing it might make the Game worse. I do agree tough. They need to tune down the Gambling Part. Its getting Annoying rather Fast. If anything ever Manages to Kill this Game. It is Wargamings current Desire to just turn everything into a frigging Gacha.,.... 1. Factually Wrong. We currently have no Data on Subs in Randoms. We only have the Sub Testing Mode. Which is nothing like Randoms at all. You might think of it as Boring. While I actually dont. I actually find it far more Interesting than normal Randoms. Even tough by now its Unplayable because Wargaming messed up and decided to make Subs a Gacha instead of making it a Daily Recurring Mission forcing People to every Day Play normal Ships to get a Sub first. So now we are back to 200 Subs and 20 other Ships in the Queue and thus massive Bot Incursions making the idea untennable. 2. No there isnt. PvE is a Niche Part of the Game. And tends to be Filled with Bots even during the Day sometimes. Its clearly not a much Requested Feature. Its something that a very Small Part of the Community is Interested in. And its something that is usually only Popular during Directives due it being far easir to get large amounts of kills and damage against bots than against Players. 3. Fallacy. I just told you that I think Subs will do that. So you actually came across someone just now. And given your Activity in the Sub Topics arguing with People. I would dare claiming you also encountered others. -

I am not allowed to Stat Shame. So I cant show you the Links to all the People with over 5000 Games that still manage 40% winrate and 500 or less PR.... So Yeah. Just keep believing that one to be true. But I would dare Claiming that the amount of Potatoes that Bought a T8 Premium and Potato in T8 without first Grinding up to that level. Is far lower than the Number of Potatoes which Grinded up to that level but just refused to learn anything anyways. (Which is not Surprising. Because funny enough. For a Player which makes the effort to learn Playing and thus tends to stop being a Potato after some Time. It makes absolutely no Difference if he Starts on a T8 Premium or a T1 Silver. He will Learn to Play relatively Quickly and reach at least halfwat decent levels within 50-100 Games anyways. While the General Potato usually is People that just dont care for whatever reason and wont make an effort to learn in the first place. Thus remaining a Potato regardless of playing 100 or 1000 games and regardless of wether they started on T8 or T1) Also wait what ? Less CVs in Low Tiers ? Where did that come from ? xD T4 and T6 CVs are more Numerous than T8 and T10 CVs. And on top the other Classes are less Played in the Lower Tiers than in the higher Tiers. Unconfirmed and Impossible to Judge right now. I actually hope it will be for the Better. Because I hope that Subs will take away Spotting, Vanguard and Capping from DDs. Thus taking a Big Bite of the DDs Influence. And making the Game much more Balanced in General. 2. Fallacy. I do Grind on the Side. Most of the Time I play for Fun. You can Check that on my Stats as well. Most of my Battles are done in Ships I have long Finished Grinding or which are Premium Ships. And if I dont feel like Playing I dont Play. As simple as that. If I didnt have Fun. I would simply Drop this Game :) And thats why Wargaming has a Vested Interested to keep adding new Stuff that keeps it interesting and thus makes People like me keep Playing :) Of course. Instead of Submarines. You could instead ask Wargaming to rather return to Ideas like NTC and the Research Bureu. Aka Just Regrind the same Lines again for some extra Goodies :P Because thats the Alternative to them Creating new Interesting Stuff. -

Actually it wasnt. The Gun used in the Stuh42 was a Modified Gun. While it was based on the 105mm Light Field Howitzer Gun. The Gun itself was a New Model specifically designed for use as an Assault Gun. Just like the 88mm Gun of the Tiger was actually a Modified 88mm Anti Air Gun :) But this doesnt really matter anyways. The 75mm Gun on the Pz-IV was also a Modified Howitzer Gun. Same for the Stug-3 75mm Gun. But they proved to be Effective as Anti Tank Tanks. So they were were Adopted in that Role. (In fact so much that the Stug-3 which was Originally planned to be more of an Self Propelled Artillery in the Rear tended to End up as a Tank Destroyer on the Front all the time. -

Then why Play this Game at all ^^ Its already pretty Broken thanks to CVs and General Inbalance. ^^ And well Mate. In Reality I prefer Boring as well. But when I play a Game. I generally want to be Entertained you know. When I have the do the same thing over and over again I usually call that Work and get Paid for it. I dont call it a Game and Pay to do it :P -

No Thanks. People keep Piling on this Convoy Hunting and Escort Idea. But the Truth is that this would be an Insanely Boring and Stupid Gamemode. Because you basicly come down to 2 Options of Gameplay. Either you set a Tight Time Limit. (Either by Match Time Limit or by making Convoys move at a certain Speed maybe faster than Subs and move from A to X position) Which will result in Submarines basicly just Yoloing the Convoys and Torping them before the DD Escorts get them. Effectively doing a Suicide Attack. Or you dont set a Tight Time Limit. Then it will be super Boring because the Subs will be taking their Time to wait out and Attack while the Defenders will sit there waiting doing nothing as they have to Wait for the Enemy Subs to first move around the whole Map to get into the Positions from where they want to attack. This kind of Game works when you have Singleplayer and can Accelerate Time to bypass the Super Boring Phase of Positioning. But not for Multiplayer unless you have Players that want a Simulation kind of Game which lasts up to 2-3 hours per Match. And it wont happen either. The Reason why Wargaming Includes Submarines is because its a Feature that is often Asked about and that has Potential to Change the Meta of the Game and Attract new Customers as well as Mixing up the current Gameplay enough to Interest Players that have left already or think about leaving the Game due it becoming boring. -

The Early 75mm Guns on the Pz-IV were Howitzers as well. Germany used Howitzer Guns for Infantry Support due to Stronger HE Shells. However the 105mm Stuh was used as a Sturmgeschütz (Assault Gun) not as a Howitzer. So its a Frontline Unit. Not an Artillery. And no. Germany in General did not Reduce Armor here. They simply used a Shorter Barreled but higher Caliber Gun. So they Weight remained pretty much the same and did not require a reduction of Armor in other Places. A Different Story is the Long Barreled 105mm Guns used on Tank Destroyer Protoypes like this one. These did Plan on Sacrificing Armor on order to Mount a Long Barreled with higher Caliber and thus much heavier Gun :)
