    Sound Update

    One thing I actually like on the Update is the Sound Update. Especially the Part of making Bounces actually Sound Different. Something Heavily undervalued in this Game is Unfortunately the Juggernaut Feeling. That thing which many People (including me) actually like about Tanks and Ships or even Planes. Is that Feeling of having Fought and Survived Some of the Biggest Achievements in Warthunder for example is to Fight a Battle and despite having taken Heavy Damage. Managing to Disengage from the Fight and Land for Repairs. Especially when your Bomber which has Bombed a Target and Managed to Return for another Run. In World of Tanks for example some of the most Awesome Battles are when you can Position and Move in a way to Take alot of Shell Hits without actually taking Damage. Or at least Reduce the Damage enough to Survive the Fight. Both Games Achieve this Feeling by using Damage Decals, Ricochet and Shatter Decals as well as Sounds and Additional Graphics. For example. In WoT when a Ricochet happens. The Flaming Shot can often Fly Across the Screen. Moreover the Bounced Shell leaves a Mark on your Armor Showing you that he Went onto the Armor there and got Deflected. In WarThunder the Damage is even more Extensive. Having entire Parts of your Vehicle Ripped off and Chunks of your Hull Destroyed or littered with Holes and Damages. And also there is a Sound for Different things to Happen. Meaning you get Different Graphics and Sounds when Shells Ricochet, get Stuck, Explode on your Armor or Penetrate and Explode inside. WoWs moving towards actually now Moving towards also Providing Such Sounds makes me Hope that Maybe we get some more Emphasis to this Kind of thing in the Future. Having some Actual Sound Cues on what the Shell did. Is a Nice Additional Greatly working towards more Immersion into the Game. I hope at some Point we can also get a Rework on Damage Decals and Graphics. Giving us some more Visual Cues on what Damage we Took and what Damage we Deflected rather than just having the Section/Module get Blacked out and Stop moving.

    Steam hat auch 1000fach Spiele die mal 60 Euro und mehr Gekostet haben dann Später Gratis Verteilt oder die Devs sind sogar Komplett F2P gegangen. Da hast du wohl auch nicht verlangt das die Dir dann nen anderes Spiel für 60 Euro Schenken oder ?

    Odin is complete Trash.

    Warning. Rant Imminent. If you got a Weak Stomach or any Unreasonable Personal Attachements to Virtual Pixels and therefore might be at Risk of Health Failure due to Excitement. Pls Leave the Topic without Reading any Further than this. The Writer of this Post takes no Responsibility for any Heart Failures, Cases of Salt Poisoning or Rushes of Blood to the Head making you unable to Play with your Girlfriend Tonight. And all Potential Heatlh Risks are at your Discretion. So. After Playing a Few Battles with that Ship. Just to Confirm it. I can Confirm without any Doubt. That Odin is Complete and Utter Garbage. 1. The Guns are Completely useless. Their Velocity is High but at the same time their Penetration is not very High and their Fuse is the Full Time BB Fuse. So Effectively. Against Battleships you wont get Citadels even on Flat Broadside unless you are pretty close. Against Cruisers if they are Flat Broadside you will get Overpens all the time. And when they Angle you will constantly Bounce. You dont have the Caliber to Overmatch anything either. Meaning that most of the Time you wont really get any Damage unless your getting really Close to the Enemy. And well. With 50k HP you cant really get Close to anything.... 2. The Secondaries are weak. This is mostly down to the Placement of the Secondaries. They are Flat on the Hull with no Elevation over each other. Meaning that unless you are Presenting Broadside which you Seriously cant with 50k HP your Secondaries wont do anything. 3. The HP. Well this is the most Obvious Issue I guess. 50k HP for a Battleship working in Close Range is just a Joke. Because even if you dont take any Devastating Hits you just dont have the HP to Survive any kind of Sustained Fire. Needless to say that your the Prime Target for any CV. Because your an Easy BB Target that cant Evade most Strikes and with the Joke of a Torpedo Protection and HP even the Aircraft Torpedoes take away Chunks of your Health. Needless to say your AA is pretty weak as well which means you also wont stop the CV from doing Damage. Simple case for example. Kaga Striked me with Torps. Evaded the First Drop entirely. But once in that Turn the Crossdrop of course got me easily as I am a Battleship and therefore cant change Repeatedly Change Direction. Bam. Half the HP Gone. 4. The Armor is MUCH Weaker than you would think. Effectively the Idea was that Odin could Deal with Low HP cause its Scharnhorst Armor but with T8 Bow and Stern. Meaning its at least got an Impervious Citadel at Close Range allowing to Brawl and not take Devastatking Hits. Well Tough News. Apparently Wargaming Decided that this Thing should not just get less HP and Worse Guns than Scharnhorst. But also worse Armor. So they Replaced the 100+mm Forward Citadel Armor that Prevented you from Being Citadeled when someone Penetrated in Front or in Rear of your Strong Side Armor Belt. With a Nice 19mm Overmatchable Goal Plate for Citadel Hatricks. Effectively meaning that you can Eat Citadels from Midrange despite being Angled. Because the Shell once it goes through the 60mm Ice Breaker can then Fly right into your 19mm Citadel Front. And even if it Hits there with 80 Degrees angle will Overmatch it and Blap You. Forcing you to basicly remain completely Bow on if you want to have any kind of Armor Protection. Or Drive Full Broadside so your 19mm Citadel Plating is not Exposed.... 5. AA is just as useless as on most other German BBs. Yep. Nothing to add here. 6. Hydro makes you Virtually Immune to Torpedoes is the Best Joke I heard in Years. Aside from the Hydro not being Up all the Time. And you not even getting the German 6km Cruiser Hydro. With all the Fast Torpedoes in the Game lately. Even with Hydro you just dont have the Time to Turn around so you dont get hit by Torps. Sure. You will Evade Most Torps. Usually only eating 1 as you can at least Turn in as your Warned early. But even 1 Torps is enough to Take 30-40% of your Entire HP...... Aside from the Fact that turning your Ship when Spotted is a Problem in itself because you have neither the Armor nor the HP to actually Sustain Heavy Hits. So in the End. The Ship is effectively entirely Useless. Let me give you a Hint. If you want a German BB with Smaller Guns. Get the Scharnhorst. Its T7 but its actually Superior to the Odin. Funny enough. It has more HP than Odin. it has better Armor than Odin because even tough you got 26mm Bow and Stern. You actually got a 100+mm Plate on your Forward Citadel which wont be Overmatched.. It has Better MM cause its T7. It has a Short Fuse so while just Like Odin you wont get that many Citadels on Battleships you will get alot more Full Pens and Citadels on Cruisers. And while your Secondaries dont have the 11km Range. At least when you get in Range with them. They actually Shoot at Enemies as you got way more of them which are actually Placed Properly and allow them to Shoot without Presenting most of your Broadside. Effectively the only part where Odin is Better is that it has Quad Launchers instead of Triple Launchers.... And you know whats Great ? WG Wont Buff the Odin for Months. Because as an Event Ship. For Several Months the Data they get will not be the Average Potato. But will be mostly from Players that have some Experience and therefore have a way Higher Baseline even with useless Scrap Metal like this. And as WG only Balances By Spreadsheet. And not by Actual Performance of a Ship. The Odin will actually not Show Horrible Performance until it actually gets Sold in the Premium Shop for Normal T8 Premium BB Price and thus becomes Available for the Average Player which will then Plummet the Stats into the Abyss where they belong. Which of course wont happen. Because they Pumped up the Value of the Ship to be 30k Doubloons so they can Claim it to be a 90% Discount when you do the Event and only Pay the 3k Doubloons for the 2 last Phases. Due to which they will likely not Bring it into the Premium Shop for the usual 13k Doubloon Price for at least 6 Months. So likely Odin will only be Buffed somewhere around May next Year when the Average Playerbase gets their Hand on the Ship. Making its Stats take a Nosedive and thus Cultivating the Typical WG Response of "Oh How did this Happen. Suddenly the Stats for Odin are Going into the Basement even tough we never did anything wrong. Must be some Strange Coincidence of another Ship we Introduced Perfectly Countering it. Lets wait some more Months to see if Odin Finds Counterplay against that Unknown Ship that is apparently suddenly making its Live harder...." So Rant Over. Greetz Sun

    When you Fight German Battleships alot Depends on what Ship you Play yourself as well as the Range at which your Fighting and how Angled the Enemy is. In General. German Battleships have a Fairly Decent Armor. And Especially at Close Range getting Citadels on them is next to Impossible. However. For the Question itself. Against German BBs you Generally do not Aim for Waterline at all. Aiming at the Waterline is Something you do to Hit the Citadel. But against German BBs. Hitting the Citadel on Broadside is Next to Impossible. And Aiming close to the Waterline Increases the amount of Shells landing in the Water. So unless you have a Good Chance to Score Citadels there is Simply no Real Reason to Aim at the Waterline. It makes more Sense to Aim somewhat Higher to Score as many Full Penetrations as Possible. (this of course goes for German BBs. Against other Nation BBs which have an Exposed Citadel it can make Sense to Aim at the Waterline depending on the Situation as you might Score Citadels doing way more Damage than the Additional Full Pen Hits from Aiming Higher) A Simple Rundown. For BBs on Flat Broadside and Close Range. You Usually Aim Center Belt. This way you get the most Hits and your Shells should have no Problems Penetrating the Main Armor Belt. You Can Aim a bit to the Front or Rear to Additionally Hit the Turret Basements for Detonation Chances. For BBs on a partially Angled Broadside (less than 50 Degrees) on Close Range. You tend to Aim on Upper Belt or Lower Front Belt. (Below Turrets). The Upper Main Belt is much Thinner than the Lower Main Belt. Meaning you have a much Better Chance of getting through there. Thus having higher Chance for High Damage Salvos. For BBs on Fully Angled Broadside (more than 50 Degrees) on Close Range. You Should Avoid Firing at the Belt at all. As you wont be getting through it. Instead you either Fire at the Turrets (Disabling Hits) the Superstructure (Damage) or if you have very good Penetration and the Angle is not beyond 70 Degrees (Autobounce) you can also Fire at the Cheeks. (As the Video Showed) For Cruisers its Simpler. You Pretty much always Aim for the Upper Belt Armor to Score Full Penetrations. And if he is Angled you Load HE. (Exceptions being Super High Pen or Improved Angle Pen Cruisers which can Aim Differently to Increase Damage. But these are Special Cases) A Different Story is on very high Range. Here it can sometimes make Sense to Aim at the Waterline. Not because you actually want to Hit there. Because because Plunging Fire is extremely Sensitive to Range. And Aiming Higher can Result in you Overshooting the Target or your Shells flying through the Superstructure as you effectively Aimed at an Ocean Patch slightly behind the Enemy Ship In Theory the Perfect Aiming Spot for Plunging Fire is just Slightly Above the Waterline. So your Shells effectively Try land in the Water right below the Opposite Side of the Enemy Ship your Aiming For. (Which means they have to Travel right through the Center of the Ship your Targeting to reach that Point) However. Its hard to Aim like this at High Ranges without using a Spotter Plane. So its often easier to just Aim at Waterline and just go up very slightly.

    That I am not sure of either. It might be 7500 for all 3 Chains as well. The Picture in the News Post doesnt really tell it. Albeit. Given that these Camos usually cost about 6000-8000 Doubloons. 7500 Doubloons per Mission Chain would be fairly Expensive. Meanwhile 7500 for all 3 Chains might be a Reasonable Offer as basicly you get 3 Camos for the Price of 1 in Exchange for Grinding the Mission Chains. @MrConway Could you Maybe Answer for us if the 3 Mission Chains cost 7500 Doubloons Each or if its a Package for 7500 Doubloons that Includes all 3 Mission Chains ?

    Aye. War Thunder ist ein Spiel wo Skill wirklich Extrem wichtig ist. Wenn du das Spiel nicht Beherschst brauchst du insbesondere in RB und SB garnicht erst auftauchen. Da du nur Minus machst. Du hast in WarThunder auch nur extrem wenig RNG wodurch auch im Kampf Selber Skill einfach wesentlich Wichtiger ist. Sprich wenn du nix Kannst Erreichst du da halt auch nichts. Aber gerade deswegen hat War Thunder halt auch massiv weniger Spieler als WoWs. Und auch deswegen ist bei War Thunder ein MM am Werk das wenn man es in WoWs übersetzen würde Praktisch 3-4 Tiers Unterschied zwischen Spielern Bedeuten würde. Weil du halt Sonst ewig auf Matches warten musst. Bzw gerade in SB das bereits häufig tust.

    Das mag für dich der Fall sein. Aber Ich nehme jeden Noob lieber als nen Yolo Bot und wenn du mich Fragst würde Ich eher die Spielerzahl erhöhen wollen. Sprich 15 vs 15 oder sogar 20 vs 20 draus machen. Ich werd nich behaupten das es mich nicht aufregt das soviele Spieler kein Interesse daran zeigen das Match auch zu gewinnen. Aber Sorry. Die Bots sind echt net besser lol. Und Ich hab keine lust für jedes Match 10 minuten im Wartescreen zu sitzen. Mal abgesehen davon sich an der Losung nicht viel Ändert. Es ist immer jemand Besser oder Schlechter. Und wenn du nurnoch Unicums im Spiel Hättest. Würde Trotzdem ein Team die Besseren Unicums bekommen und ein Team halt die Unicums die im Vergleich zu den anderen Unicums Schlecht sind. Daran ändert sich nichts. Automatische System eignen Sich nicht um Spieler Skill zu Bewerten. Das ist einfach so. Also wirst du ohnehin Immer damit Leben müssen das eine Seite nunmal das Schlechtere Team bekommen wird.

    Given the Average Skill of the CV Players. This might end up being a Nerf. As they just waste Motorboost to Cruise the Distance and then cant use it in the Drop where its an actual Buff....

    Can they citadel you when angled ?

    No and No ^^ 1. No. 19mm is Overmatched by BB Guns. So 280mm or Bigger. But most Cruisers have 200mm and 150mm Guns which wont Overmatch DDs. Needless to say. DDs also dont Overmatch other DDs ^^ In Fact DDs worry less about Overmatch and more about Overpenetration Mechanics and Saturation Mechanics which are actually more Complicated than Overmatch ^^ 2. No. Damage for a DD is Pretty Irrelevant. Importand is if you Win. Because DDs are a High Influence Class often Deciding if your Team Wins or Loses. If you hide in the Rear and Spam Torps. You might get some Damage. But your Team will be Blind Fodder for the Enemy and on top Bleed Points as they lack Caps. Meaning you drastically reduce your Chances to Win ^^ This high Influence is also why the Good CVs try to Kill DDs First. Because a Team whose DDs get Killed or cant get out Front is almost Guaranteed to Lose.

    Removing Reload Buff on Yamato because it clearly needs Accuracy xD @Tanatoy Sorry. But could it be that you actually Dislike UUs and want them gone ? Because currently alot of the Changes you do basicly remove these UUs from the Game as they Simply become so incredible worse than the Standard Upgrade that Mounting them is effectively a Nerf to the Ship. I currently own 7 UUs 2 was good, 1 was usable and 4 were useless. Now 6 are useless. Just 1 Remains. And only cause you didnt touch it yet. GK UU now is just complete Trash that makes no Sense whatsoever to mount. Because whatever Build you use. Standard Modules are the better Choice. Yamato UU now also is Trash as I.ll Instantly mount Reload now. Yamato seriously does not need More Accuracy lol. By now I basicly just See 2 Options to Justify these Changes. A. You guys really dont Play your Game and thus dont Realize just what your doing there. B. You actually know that these Changes make the UUs worse than Standard Upgrades and do them on Purpose so the UUs Dissappear from the Game.... Guess I.ll just Dismount all my UUs right away. Given that if they ever were an actual Choice they will likely get Nerfed into Trash soon anyways. At least that means I dont need to bother with Research Bureu....

Zumindest so lange bis du dann für jedes Gefecht 10 minuten warten musst um genug Spieler zu kriegen. Aber WG würde das Erheblich Stören wenn die halbe Playerbase ausm Spiel Fliegt weil sie net weiter kommt ^^

    German Carriers: Early Access

    Each Premium Camo is 600 Tokens. As only 300 Tokens are Guaranteed without Spending Money. You cannot get a Single T10 PermaCamo for Free unless you are extremely Lucky AND have GZ already. You get 300 from Mission Chains Available for Free. You get up to 300 more if you get the German Carriers in a Lootbox and have Graf Zeppelin. So assuming you have GZ you can in theory Earn 600 Tokens for Free assuming you have Insane Luck on the Lootboxes. Otherwise you cannot get any Perma Camos for Free. You can however Buy 3 further Token Mission Chains (1 for DD 1 for Cruiser 1 for BB) Which will give 600 Tokens each. These have to be Purchased for Doubloons of course. Finally. Premium Shop will get some Packages to Buy which will Contain Set Amount of Tokens.

    Wont happen. The Game already is extremely Arcade. Honestly said. If you want it any easier there Simply wont be any Reason anymore to actually have a Player on the Controls. You are controlling a Warship. Not a Bobcar. If you wanna See just how Complicated this would be if it was Realistic you should take a look at War Thunder. Then you will Realise just how Simplified WoWs is ^^ To begin with. This is not Rocket Science. There is 19mm and Smaller. 25mm 27mm 30mm And 32mm So 5 Number Sets 19mm and Smaller will be Overmatched by 280mm or Bigger. 25mm will be Overmatched by 380mm Guns or Bigger 27mm will be Overmatched by 400mm or Bigger 30mm will be Overmatched only by 450mm or Bigger 32mm can only be Overmatched by 460mm and Bigger After a while you Learn which Ships carry what Guns. And thus also which Ships can Overmatch certain Armor. Nothing big behind that. Just Simple Memory.
