Actually its much easier than you likely think. Fun Fact for you. Z-52 the German T10 DDs Base DPM is 135k Hsienyang The Pan Asian T8 Torpedo DDs DPM of 129k Öland The Swedish T8 DD which I guess can do both Torps and Guns. 163k Kagero The Japanese T8 Torpedo DD 109k So Guess what. If you actually go for this Idea that many People Push here as Build Which is to Spam Torpedoes by Dropping your Torpedo Reload. Then most of these T8 DDs will Actually Outgun you. The only way you Outgun T8 DDs is by using the T9+ Upgrade to Buff Reload. Which means you cant get that Torp Spam Advantage. And thats against DDs supposed to Spam Torps by default already. Lets check other DDs. Akizuki T8 Japan Gun DD 192k Lightning. UK T8 DD Equipped with Hydro. Gets 136k US Benson T8 gets over 160k again. Sounds Fun ? Now Lets actually Check some of the DDs the Z52 is Supposed to Fight. Shimakaze. T10 Japanese Torpedo DD. Yes Torpedo DD. That thing which has 15 Torpedoes. Has a Base DPM of 134k Gearing. That US T10 DD which like the German Z52 is Supposed to be an Allrounder and has Pretty nice Torps. Has a Base DPM of 216k Daring The UK T10 DD which by the way has not just a Hydro but even a Hydro. Base DPM 218k Yueyang Pan Asian T10 Torpedo DD which can take a Radar if he wants to Cap Brawl. Thus being not exactly Impressed with your 6km Hydro. Has 167k The Only DPM where the Z52 can Compete. And pls note Compete. Its not really Outclassing other DDs there. Is the AP Shells. But these will only Work if an Enemy DD Presents you a Pretty Flat Broadside. And even then your AP DPM is not that Good that even on just a Slight Angle. They would be Capable of Competing with most actual Fighting DDs HE DPM. Sigh... I am not Paid to Educate People. So feel Free to keep Beleiving that rubbish. Have a Nice Day Mate. Its unlikely WG would go for that. Even on Subs they are already Reluctant and Bind it to Extra Mechanics. Needless to say. If these would actually work. It would likely result in a Far Bigger Buff than the Z52 needs. Z52 got Powercreeped because basicly every Job it can Take. Now has other Nation DDs which can well. Simply do it Better. Its not like Z52 is Unplayable or Impossible to Succeed in. Its just Weaker than the other DDs.

Not happening. ^^ As long as we Live. We will have Expectations. If WG cant be bothered to give us a Proper Timetable. Then I cant be Bothered to be Patient either. Simple as that ;) I agree with the rest tough. I hope they learned something from last time. And allow us to Buy the stuff without Lootboxes. I got no Qualms Buying Bigger Packages. But I do have Qualms bothering to Buy Lootboxes. I am actually Planning to Buy some Captains for some Nations Twice or even Thrice if I can. But I have no Intention to Buy vast Amounts of Lootboxes to get the few Captains I want to have Doubles of. -

What to do with a German DD when the Enemy DD is not a Complete Potato and therefore wont be Driving Broadside to You as he Rushes you Smoke inside your Hydro Range ? Use HE ? Because your HE on Z52 has roughly the same DPM as a Kagero lol What exactly do you Claim the Z52 can do. Which other DDs cant do Better ? Cap Brawl when even most T8 and T9 Torpedo DDs actually Outgun You ? Honestly said rather than having trouble frinding a DD which is Better than Z-52 in that. Its hard to actually Find a DD worse on it lol. Or you gonna Torpedo Boat with Torps which even if you hit a Full Salvos on a Broadside Battleship often just Deal enough Damage to Kill it and which have a Range that other Nations get on T6-7 ? Yeah even most Gun DDs actually have way Superior Qualities as a Torpedo Boat lol. I dont think they are Fine at all to be Honest. Because no Offense. But would you mind telling me one thing which they are actually Good at ? Fast Reloading Torps which Deal little Damage and have Short Range. Lets Face it. Swedish are Better. And beyond T8 even US are Better. Only DDs with worse Torps are basicly the Russians and French. Which however are vastly Superior in Guns. Mate. Since when are Torps roughly 1/3 the Thickness of a Ship ? Here. Red Circle would be the Magnetic Trigger. Blue Circle is the current Trigger. Second Screen Showing how Close the Torpedo would actually need to come to Explode. Took me a few Attempts to actually get one this close. This would be a Significant Advantage as you would need to keep more Space when Evading the Torps. And especially against BBs which often manage to Slip in between your Torps thanks to the fairly Bad Spread of the Quad Launchers. But it would be nowhere so Big an Increase that the Torpedoes would Suddenly be Undodgable Mate. Sure. If you add roughly 80% Duds to all US Torpedoes below T9 and make All Torps but German Ones actually not Explode at all unless they Hit the Target properly. Because their Triggers Generally were Triggered by a Screw which did not work if the Torpedo just Shaved against the Bow of the Ship at a Bad Angle. Uhhh. Thats is not only utterly wrong. But also completely Irrelevant to the Topic. 1. Magnetic Torpedoes React to the Magnetic Field. They cannot distinguish if a Ship is above or beside them. So while it is true that these Magnetic Triggers also allowed Exploding a Torpedo below a Ship rather on than hitting its Side. Thus Increasing the Damage. But this was a Specific use. It was in Fact a Problem of German Torpedoes at the Start that they Exploded before they reached the Ship. Requiring further Engineering and Research to actually make them Detonate properly. The Base use was for the Torpedo to cover a Larger Hit Area. Thus making Hits more likely. 2. This is a Game. Its nowhere near Realism. And Realism is not meaningful. In Reality Torpedoes would actually Bounce as well if the Triggers Screw is not Stopped due to the Angle being too Shallow. Moreover Firing Torpedoes even remotely Accurately was next to Impossible. And you also would not Spot Torpedoes 1-3km away. My Suggestion is a Game Mechanic. Its not required to be Realistic.

Sure. Except that for the Glorious AP of Z you need the Enemy DD to stay Broadside. And for Glorious Hydro to help you need Enemy DD to try and Rush your Smoke. Putting it Simple. For Zs glorious Advantages to work. Enemy DD needs to be Potato. Needless to say. Daring can do all that too. But unlike Z doesnt require Enemy DD to be Potato as he has Guns that can hurt DDs even if they dont try to Broadside Battle you. A. Magnectic Triggers are not Miracles lol. They wont Trigger 100m away. They Trigger if the Torps are very Close. Basicly imagine it as Triggering if the Torp comes so close to your Hull that it 1/4 of the Size a DD Turret Away. B. These do Full Damage. As I said on A these wont Trigger 100m away. These Trigger only on near Hits. Making them harder to dodge. Not impossible to dodge. C. German DDs are too weak. Buffing them is the Intention. Nerfing them to offset the Buff would destroy the Purpose. Also get that Idea out of your head that they would basicly explode all around you lol. Magnetic Triggers basicly mean that the Torp becomes about 2 Times Bigger on the Hitbox. So if he missed you so close that there would be no way to fit another Torp between you and the Torpedo. It would still trigger. Lol

Because they are Boring as **** lol The Gameplay Sucks. Playing CV Feels like Playing Coop at 4 in the Night with you being the Only Player somehow trying to win the Game by killing Enemy Bots faster than your own Bots can Suicide. Moreover. There is a Big Problem here. WG has Mirrored MM. So if your a T8 CV. The Enemy also gets one. And as a CV is massively Overpowered and wields much more Influence than other Ships. This also means that if the Player in the CV is Bad. He is very likely to lose. Because as you already correctly Realized. Covering for a CV needs 3-4 other Ships. So if the Enemy doesnt need to that cause your CV is a Potato. He has a massive Advantage over you. Hence. Good CV Players easily go over 60% and Unicums even beyond 70% and higher Winrates while Average CV Players easily drop to 45% and Bad even go down to 30-40% Which as you can Imagine. Is not very Fun. So many People Stop Playing the CV thanks to losing all the Time. As they Simply cant Play good enough to actually Stand up to the Influence of the Enemy CV Player.

1. Meaningless. Mod Damage is just not a worthwhile Target. Moreover. Most CVs with HE already deal enough Damage to easily Disable and even Destroy Modules. HE Bombs being almost Guaranteed to Disabling 2-3 Modules at once. Meaning for this to not just be outright useless. The Module Damage would need to be so Incredible High that any Hit is basicly Guaranteed to Permanently Destroy a Module. 2. WG Wants to prevent CVs from easily Killing DDs so this wont happen. 3. These Planes are already weak on HP and will Generally fall from the Sky like Flies when anything beyond T6 DD AA Opens up on it. So nerfing their HP even more would effectively remove them from the Game. As they could effectively Drop only DDs with Weak AA against which they are useless. Right now. The Best Solution. Would Honestly be to massively Nerf HE Rockets Glovally. For example. Reducing their Alpha Damage by 50% thus making it much Harder to Deal Damage to DDs in General. That way. DD Hunting would Stop being a Thing. And most CVs would come down to the level of German CVs. -

If nothing else. Unless they Severely Buff the German CVs. Or severely Nerf the remaining CVs. I just dont See a way for the German CVs to be Competetive in Randoms right now. The Disadvantage against other CVs is just too big. If the Enemy CV is Bad you can still Win of course. You still have Influence. But not only is your Influence vastly less than other CVs. But if the Enemy CV is Skilled you cant even put up a Fight. Because you just cannot really Attack DDs or Blobs. At least thats the Situation on T8. -

It was Shown as part of the 0.9.6 Stream in Japan. So it being in this Update is still highly Likely. But dont Forget. We got Thursday again. And nothing came up. Update 0.9.6 will still Last for another 3 Weeks. So its more than Possible that "Very Soon tm" means we are still going to Wait for another 2 Weeks.... -
I personally like Two Brothers. Not for the Center Rush. But for some of the Interesting Fights sometimes happening there. So I would like to pose a Question. Has WG considered making Maps that are much more closed with lack of the Typical Open Spaces ? For example. A River Delta Map which Consists of a Web of Connected Channels and Lakes with Larger Space actually being occupied by Islands. Or a Channel Map which is fairly Long but only maybe 20-30km wide. In General Msps that are Special and Provide much less Open Water Combat and far more Close Range Combat between Landmasses :)

WT Started with Patrol Boats Only Then Implemented Bigger Torpedo Boats and Frigates. Then Destroyers. Then Light Cruisers. And has now Implemented Heavy Cruisers. So its not as Restricted anymore as it was at the Start.

I would consider Time Compression as Part of the Game Mechanics to be Honest. But well thats just a matter of Viewpoint I guess. Maybe try out War Thunder ? No Offense Intended on that by the way. I play War Thunder myself whenever I feel more like Playing a Realistic or more Simulation like Game.

I dont mind. Everyone has its own Opinions. Albeit the Reason is Fairly Obvious for the Game. Open Ocean Maps as the one we have. Tend to really not Fit the Gamemodes the Game has. Capturing an Irrelevant Point in the Middle on an Open Oceam Map without Cover or Obstructions tends to unfortunately end up with pretty clear Roflstomps as the Teams are Forced into a Direct Battle by the Domination Mode and any Ship Lost means that you lose Firepower in the Struggle. Meaning that the moment one Side gains even a Slight Advantage that Advantage Snowballs as there is no way of using Islands or Cover to to create a Tactical Engagement where they might Fight and Beat a Limited Part of the Enemy one after the other and thus Reversing the Advantage the Enemy has. Hence WGs Reluctance to use Open Ocean Maps even tough it would be more Realistic. Ah Love the Instant Hostility towards anything that Differs from your Own Holy Opinion. Allow me to Answer in Kind. I am Playing World of Warships. An ARCADE Warships Game with Focus on Fast and Action Based Naval Combat. It Seems however that you are looking for a different Game here. With a more Simulation Approach of Realism. Which means you should likely be checking out War Thunder. A Highly Complicated Game with very High Levels of Realism which for the Sake of said Realism doesnt care if things are Hard to Learn for the Player or tend to take alot of non Action Preparation and Moving Time for the Player. ;)

T8 Torp generally does 3.5k on a DD. Assuming your Hitting non Saturated Sections. On Saturated Sections it can be far less.... Needless to say. Saturating a Section on a DDs isnt rare. Now think about this. Shokaku or Lexington will do 5k Strikes with Rockets easily from any Angle without bothering to maneuver around and without you having the Ability to Evade. Parsival does 3.5k Damage but only if he can line up the Drop which requires excessive maneuvering and even then Hits can be Prevented by the DD Evading. Using these Torps on DDs is at Best something to be done in an Opportunity Event like a DD Beaching himself or sitting alone in Smoke without your Aircraft being Spotted thus he only seeing the Torps when they are already on him. Or when the DD is close to a Friendly Cruiser and cant afford maneuvering. Beyond that. Its a waste of time. But in all these cases other CVs Torps can do this Too and actually hit harder. -

Feedback for German CVs Ok. Played them a bit now. And I am Ready to give a General Estimate. Now as a Pretext. German CVs are Vastly Inferior to other CVs in the Game. There is no Question to that for Various Reasons I will mention closer in the Actual Feedback. As such they Require either Mechanical Changes or really big Buffs to Compete with other CVs. (Or respectively the other CVs need to be Nerfed) Also T10 is excempt from this as we cant get it yet. 1. The CV Itself. The CVs are Fairly Decent on Armor but nothing Special. And as they lack the Armored Deck they are still fairly Sqishy. Moreover. The Secondaries are a Far Cry from Graf Zeppelin thus they are not capable of Brawling. The Secondaries are at best usable as a last ditch defence against DDs. 2. The Rockets. They are extremely Weak in General. Against many Heavy Cruisers especially higher Tier than their Own they wont even reach the Citadel under Perfect Conditions. And given how little HP the Planes have. They have no real way of doing more than 1 Strike most of the Time. Leaving them extremely Weak and Limited unless your Lucky enough to have several Enemy Light Cruisers as Targets. Against BBs and DDs they are almost completely useless. Onky Capable of Inflicting Neglectable Damage. They either need a Vastly higher Alpha Damage. So they Deal more Full Pen Damage. Or need better Penetration so they can at least Reliably get through the Citadel of Heavy Cruisers. Moreover. The Interface needs so.e work. And the handling of Islands needs to ve Adjusted. Flying over Islands cause the Rockets to Target 20km away and make it i.possible to Strike any Target behind even a Flat Island. And the Reflection and Flak are right at the Camera often making you unable to See your Aiming Circle anymore as its meshed out with the Lighting. 3. The Torpedos The Torpedoes are Weak in Damage bit very fast. Now the Idea of WG to ise em against DDs is impossible. Not only can DDs evade them easily unless surprised or in combat. But even if you hit. Its usually just 1 or at best 2 Torps which Deal less Damage than a Rocket Strike. And which due to the Nature of Torps needs far more Maneuvering to Setup the Drop. Meaning even with the 2k OverpenStrikes From AP Rockets you will usually have a DD killed Faster than with these Torps. But these Torps are Extremely good at something else. And that is Killing Cruisers. Due to their Speed hitting Cruisers is fairly easy. And while the Damage is not Impressive. It is Decent due Cruisers lack of Torpedo Protection. Alliwing to get Decent Strikes on Hostile Cruisers very Reliably. 3. The AP Bombs These are the most Powerful. But also the most Difficult Weapons. Accuracy is Usable but not Impressive. And Penetration is Fairly Good. Damage is very Good. However. Plane HP is extremely Low. Surviving long enough to do one Drop is often only Possible with a Heal. And thats with all Upgrades. I dont even wanna fathom how these Planes fall like Flies without a high level Captain. And as soon as the Enemy show you Broadside. The Magic is Gone as he will take only little hits and Damage. Moreover. The Camera is Horrible. You have to adjust it all the time because otherwise you cant see AA and Drop Circle together. And as the Game only Counts Distance in Horizontal. You have a Far longer Approach than other Planes. Giving you a much longer Exposure to AA. Especially on the Dive that takes very long. 4. The Plane HP in General is too low. The moment you are Uptiered you are pretty Dead as even Single Ships Continues AA is often too much for your Planes. GZ Compensates with Insane Speed. But the German CVs while Faster than others. Are not on the Speed level of GZ. 5. Inability to actually Strike Targets. Rockets are only usable on Light Cruisers and Heavy Cruisers without Strong Armor Belt or Spaced Armor. Torpedoes are only usable on Cruisers. And AP Bombs can only be used on Cruisers and BBs without Thick or Spaced Citadel Deckarmor. Meaning not only can you hardly do anything to DDs. But you also cant Kill some BBs. Jean Bart for Example is pretty much Capable of Ignoring a German CV as nothing he does can inflict Big Damage on it. Against BBs and even some Cruiser that are higher Tier you effectively cant really Attack at all as you wont deal any decent amount of Damage. 6. Extreme Lack of Influence. And Something else comes around here as well. The Inability to Strike DDs when every other CV can do so. As well as the Inability to Strike above your own Tier which every other CV can do. Results in you having Extremely low Influence. Now this is of course only an Issue because CVs in General have absurd Influence. But since you are Matched against one Such CV with massive Influence. Your own Lack of it Results in Massive Disadvantages for your Team. Because not only can you not take out Enemy DDs while the Enemy CV can take out Yours. But you cant even really Punish Higher Tier BBs and Cruisers when they Extend away from their Fleet. While the Enemy CV can ravage any Attempts of your Teammates to do so with Impunity. Overall. German CVs right now are likely the Weakest of the CVs. Having Low Influence and low Manstopping Power.

There being few Players for Protected Matchmaking isnt Surprising. Because only absolutely New Players get Counted for it. Dont forget the Game has MM Intervals of less than 3m Even if we assumed the 3m to be used all the time. You would end up with an Critical Minimum of 480 Matches needing 11.520 Players Now assuming each New Player Plays at least 10 Matches a Day. You would need 1152 Active New Players Spread out Evenly over the Day to prevent Bots. And that would still assume the extremely unrealistic Situation of MM waiting full 3 Minutes for each Match. Which also wont happen all the time. So the Number in Reality is even higher. Thats next to Impossible of course. So you will end up with alot of Bots. Thing is. Protected MM only carries you so far. Your clearly a Reroll Player which had at least Blue or even Violet Stats before. You cant Expect New Players to Breeze through these Tiers at such a Speed as you. Even if they are matched against Bots. :) -

1. The Reason is that you likely are too Focused on Playing as CV. Of course as CV you will Face 90% Bots. Because if you just Click the Battle Button you See this. I used a T4 DD. So I cant reach T6 meaning all 24 CVs in that Queue are T4 CVs. These are Standing vs a Total of 19 Players of other Classes inside my MM Range of T3 to T5 This then Results in Matches like this. 2 CVs per Team with a Mix of Bots and Players Filling the Remaining 10 Slots per Team. Its Simple Math at this Point. Each Match has 4 Slots for CVs and 20 Slots for other Ships. We had 24 CVs and 19 other Ships in Queue. So after just a Single Match is Created. You have 20 CVs remaining and all other Ships have been put into Battle. (In our case the MM actually only put 14 other Ships +6 Bots meaning 5 other Ships remained in Queue likely due to it being either T3 or T5 which cant be matched against each other) Now. You got 20 CVs Remaining with barely any Players to Form a Match. Meaning you can now Calculate Chances pretty easily. 4 out of 24 got Players for their Match. Remaining 20 have to make do with Bots as there is no Players Left. So for CVs on T4 only about 17% of your Matches you will actually get Matches Filled with Proper Players. However. 19 of 19 of the Other Players got Matched with 2 CVs. So as you can Imagine. 100% of the other Players will still get 2 Player CVs each Team. Now Pls Note. This is Primetime Numbers. If you for example Play Late at Night. This Number will Drop further. At very Late at Night you sometimes have Playernumbers in Queue Drop to Levels were there Simply no longer is enough Players Online to get a Single Match without Bots. At this Point you might actually end up getting Matches which are effectively Only you and 2-3 other Players Max filled up with Bots. But the General Majority of the New Players. Plays during Afternoon and Early Evening. Where the Numbers are as I just Demonstrated ;) 2. Something most People dont understand. Is that Skillgap in this Game is Directly Related to the Influence a Ship has. Most People think that if a Ship is OP then even if they are Bad they must do Good and Win in it. But thats a Fallacy. Because in WoWs we have Mirrored Matchmaking. So when a Bad Played takes an Overpowered Ship like a CV. Then he will be Matched against a CV as well. And that other Player might not be as Bad. And the more Influence your Ship has. The more of your Teams Influence is in the Hands of a Bad Player. Meaning that if your a Bad Player and have a Ship that has little Influence to begin with. It wont matter so much that your Bad. Because even as a Bad Player you can do your Job. And even if you mess up its possible to Cover for you. But likewise. If your a Bad Player and have a Ship that has alot of Influence. You being Bad is an Big Problem. Because you as a Bad Player are very Unlikely to be Capable of actually Managin all that Influence. Meaning your extremely likely to mess up. And if you do. Its next to Impossible to Cover for you. So of Course Skillgap will take a while to be Fixed. Skillgap wónt be Fixed until CVs massive Influence is actually Fixed. Which will still take quite a while. 3. The Reason Players Abandon CVs as a Class is more Related to the Fact that it isnt Fun. The Skillgap on DDs isnt that much Smaller than on CVs. Yet as you can See. DDs are Played alot. And DDs also have a Big Change in T8 called Radars. Yet they dont suddenly Stop there. They might try out Radar Cruisers Instead only to then Fail there too. But in General the Balance is Fairly good on this. CVs however dont pick up much Popularity. Which is likely a Simple Issue of People here thinking fairly Similar to me myself. And not having much Fun with the Class. 4. Unicums are Unicums. You are not going to Destroy them by Balancing a Class. They will Still Overperform compared to most Players. But their Performance will go down a bit as well. If you Nerfed CVs so far that Unicums would no longer be Capable of Outperforming the Average Player then you would have reached a State where you didnt Balanced CVs but where you Nerfed them into Oblivion and they are Underpowered. Which is not the Target. And pls note. The Reticle Change will likely come with other Changes. Its unlikely that WG will just give HVAR Reticle to all CVs and call it a Day. They Accuracy and Reticle will be Set for each CV Seperately. All getting more Broadside Heavy but certainly not all the Same. This will certainly be made sure to be a Nerf against DDs if they Angle in. WG will make sure of that by Setting Dispersion so that it Spreads over the Broadside to do less Damage than before if the DD Angles in. But WG might also reduce the Vertical Dispersion in Exchange. So DDs that dont angle in will be Punished much Harder. The thing is. The Average Potato will now know a Simple Rule that he has to Turn in to Negate Damage of Rockets. Which is much easier for them to Learn than to know each CVs Rocket Plane Capabilities. Now will this Fix CVs being OP ? No Clearly not. But you can Expect further Changes. Last Update the AP Bombs got Nerfed for example. Which was clearly not Intended to make DD Life easier ;) And after the Rockets are Changed. You can likely Expect further Steps to be Taken. Not just to make CVs less Effective against DDs. But also make them less Effective against other Classes. CVs wont be Fixed next Patch. They might not even be Fixed Patch after that. But the Direction Wargaming is taking is Clearl. More and more Ships with Strong Anti CV Abilities and ever so slight Nerfs for CVs. Sooner or later CVs will go over Border of being OP and come Back to just being on the Strong Side and Potentially if WG keeps going a bit further might even run down into the Middle Area. Might take several Big Updates till that happens of course. But its going in that Direction ;) -

Depends. Its hard to Say without seeing the Actual Results. I doubt WG will just put all Spreads Horizontal and call it a Day. Otherwise Tiny Tims and Wurfgranaten will indeed Suffer the Most as they have worst Hitchances without right Angle. I hope WG will use the Chance to instead Nerf Rockets of Shokaku, Audacious etc. Its a Global Change. Basicly WG wants to make all Rockets have a Broad instead of Long Spread. So DDs can always use the same Response to all CV Rockets rather than needing to know each CVs Rocket Squadrons Capabilities.
