Or probably the 5.864 players (and I guess 30% of them are online only to check if something is changed on their front end) now online are so few they can wait. I remember the numbers of WoT when we were on open beta and then when it was released ... even early in the morning. Even at 5am ....

I tried the secondary update (7.2Km, verified on artillery specs in port). I tried with a DD and actually, 140mm and 127mm open up much closer (about 3-4Km). Not at 7Km, not at 6Km. Pretty useless so far. Weird.

PATCH ALERT !!!! 0.4.1.1 update on the NEWS page !!!!
-
In the day of official release? When ranked battles will begin? The answer is a big YES. In such a day, when you run a 24/7 online game, when you have customers all over Europe you have to work 24h. Simply as that.

The patch alert on NEWS page is stil 0.4.1.1 This is the day of official release and still nothing here. WoW! WG, you need to work on marketing and PR, seriously.

Do you think that the Tirpitz as well should mount the Secondary Battery Modification 2?
-
A question for the Nagato veterans: do you use the Secondary Battery Modification 2 or the Gun Fire Control System Modification 1?

Why has Tirpitz destroyed the current meta?
Gatt replied to Rem3mberMe's topic in General Discussion
No, no, I simply meant that 2 CAs, if they manage to isolate a BB (and I see many BB alone in the map), are lethal. English is not my mother tongue so I'm often misunderstood. Anway, I'm not a veteran but, when I see CAs (Tier VI and above) on the map they are too shy. As I said, Cleveland apart. -

Actually, medium tanks in WoT dont protect heavy tanks. They simply put themselves between scouts (till they die) and heavies. They are very aggressive, they are the backbone of the squad. Aoba's and others are so shy or so opportunistic .... I understand that CA have less range and HP but, if they dont change their playstile and get more aggressive, working in pairs, above all from Tier VI up, they will have less and less space in the game. This is obviously only my opinion but as far as I can see, some daring Cleveland apart, the only CA with good effect on gameplay are Omaha's and Murmansk. -

Gatt replied to Rem3mberMe's topic in General Discussion
Anyway, even before the Tirpitz, very few CA (Tier VI and above) players were willing to fulfill the role of WoT medium tanks. They were/are too scared by DD torps and BB long range guns. They should be more daring. Only Omaha and Murmansk players make games fun and interesting. Cleveland, Aoba (and Tiers above) players are too cautious. Now, with the Tirpitz just behind enemy CA, the situatiion is even worst. -

Gatt replied to Rem3mberMe's topic in General Discussion
Numbers and noobs apart, the Tirpitz is actually a problem for CAs. Even the average player knows that, thanks to speed, armor, flat shell trajectory and RoF, the Tirpitz can take position just behind friend CAs. And can kill enemy CAs. The Tirpitz actually brought a new style of combat. Not lagging behind everyone, not far from the front line as almost all other BBs that is. Enemy CAs drivers must learn to live with it. Instead, friend CAs are pretty happy to have a BB close-supporting them. P.S.: I'm pretty sure that, if and when we'll get them, german pocket BB's will do the same. -
In the meantime, the launcher has been just updated .....

Let them salivate at their performance against retarded BB euro players. Lets see how much time does it take to WG to nerf again CVs. It happened in WoT with arty or UFO tanks like the T-54, It will happen here. WG wont let gamers avoid Tiers VIII-IX and X. This is where they make money in the medium long period. I for one will stop at Tier VI-VII. I'll let other be cannon (ops, torpedo) fodder for a small hard core UFO CV community. Have fun!

T9 Essex oneshotting a T10 Montana in one attack run.
Gatt replied to Pupu_prpr's topic in General Discussion
It is not World of Aerial Torpedos either. 2 CVs can spam my side of the map with 4-6 TB squadrons in what, 60-90 seconds after the battle start? It is even worst than WoT. At least, there, arty must take position, then send scouts deep in my side of the map, then spot me and only then spam me with Pershings. And again, WG cannot decide how many players will play CV, BB, CA and DD. Players play whatever they want but mainly what give them most fun. Lets see in 6-12 months if players will accept to be split as WG wants and not as THEY want. -

Yeah, even WoT should be a team oriented game. However, guess what, after 3 years it is not. It is still a free for all game and randomness plays a major role in the outcome of battles. WG and CV dedicated players will not be able to change the arcade player mentality and force CA to escort BB. The only result they get is to create lemming trains of players scared to remain alone or in too small groups. -

UFO-torps is obviously an oversemplification. I mean torps appearing too late, torps dropped apparently on beaches and cliffs, torps coming from ghost DD not visible at very close distance, etc. You must consider that there are a (small) group of skilled players who master CV's and are able to avoid/dodge/minimize torps and torps effect on gameplay. Problem is that the vast majority is (and wont be) able to do it. Many players come here to play BBs. Up to Tier VII BBs seems to have very poor AA defence as well. A relatively small group of good player in CVs are, lets say, "ruining" the fun factor to a big group of BB players. As in WoT, the big group will eventually prevail and make the small group's ships nerfed. So called un-skilled players get tired soon and whines, and stop to play. Again, this is not a combat simulator. This is as arcade as BF or other shooters. It is identified as arcade even in the own developers words. It is arcade in the words of skilled players as well. So, why a casual players should accept CVs as they are now? They want immediate fun, and if they dont get it they whine. It happened in WoT with the old Patton. Most Patton dedicated players were so good that in the end they involuntarily got it nerfed. I mean, WG nerfed it in order to have it the same average stats of other medium tanks. Skilled players cant make other players learn-to-play, not as it should. I know it is a strange way to manage things but it is WG's way. Thats why (I guess that) CV will be changed in the near future. P.S.: WG is compelling players with BBs up to Tier V-VI (the core of WG gamers) to play and fight against CVs. These BB's have poor or no AA defence. How long time will it take to those players to understand that this in un-historical and unfair (in an arcade-playing view)? Warships up to some Tiers V (maybe +/- one Tier) should not see any CV on the battlefield. -

Frankly speaking, WoWS is a game, an arcade game, not a good combat simulation (like Warbirds, Aces High or Rise of Flight). In arcade games, players learn how to game the game to win. And they mainly want to have fun. WG primary goal is to make players have fun. Their goal is not to teach them the secret of real naval combat. WG wont ever oblige players to move in packs just to avoid UFO torps. Players dont want to play 500-1000 battles only to learn how to dodge UFO torps. If they dont have fun they whine. If they whine, sooner or later WG will do something. And again, I'm pretty sure CV will be the target of these changes. -

You know very well that balance doesnt mean that CA should do the same dmg as BB. Balance mean that one class should not dominate the others. It will take time but eventually the whole CV system will be better tuned. Players get tired quickly when they get annihilated after 60 seconds by someone sitting on the other side of the map. You know, I thought WoWS would have been like Denmark Strait AND Midway. Not almost only like TD & DB vs Warships. -

Gatt replied to Pupu_prpr's topic in General Discussion
Of course not. However, given the actual maps dimension, torps drop model and dmg done by CV, I strongly believe that we are far from a balance in the battles. I so really hope that WG will find a better one in the future. -

We are still in OBT and WG games change a lot even after release. So, this is a forum for the game everybody woukd like to have. Forum cops and so called veterans are so fun. -
Do the secondary and AA ship's upgrades come on top of the Captain's secondary armament module (Advanced Firing Training; 4 training cost)? I mean: 20% + 20% to firing range ?
-
World of Warships [Why doesn't the Tirpitz get the 58x 20mm Flak 30 mod? I m wondering because it isn't added in game.
Gatt replied to Killbas1999A's topic in General Discussion
If all high Tier IJN BB did not get the right set of AA guns I highly doubt that the Bismark will. Balance? -
Aces High has the best system: any hit to a friendly ship hits you as well. It should not be difficult for WG.
