I've been on the dark side as well. For a couple of battles. And, just to be clear and not hypocrite, not against BOTs. Against real players. At least 50-60% of the players, especially BBs players, but many CA players too, sail on a straight line. Zen is right: in these cases the MOD is accurate, very accurate. With my New Mexico I one-shot a CA from 14Km with the first salvo. Then I killed another one with two salvos. Then thx God, the game ended. We lost. The interesting thing, kills apart, is watching how misleading is the actual game targeting system and how, on the contrary, how low can be the negative impact of RNG when you use an accurate lead (the one suggested by the MOD, that is). At least in my case. I'd suggest WG to find ASAP a system to neutralize this MOD and find a better targeting system for the game warships as well. Something that gets better and better as the player reaches higher Tiers. I cant think of always using the same archaic manual targeting system from my post WW1 ship up to my (future) Tier VIII-X modern battleship.

Well, actually the ingame targeting system doesnt tell you exactly how much lead you must apply. You must use your experience to judge the speed of the target. Even on a target sailing on a straight line. With DD I usually use a 1,5 or 2x coefficient to what the ingame system tell me. This a very rough method. Good for a post WWI warship. A modern WW2 warship should have a much sophisticated system. How can a North Carolina have the same target acquisition system of a Tier III-IV battleship? I fear that many players will try the mod. Even many of those crying in this post.

I would like to decide which one of the two. I dont want to grind to both. Any hint? Thanks for any help.

Eh, it was only a way to have one of them earlier. WG could do what is doing with Tirpitz/Bismark. Yes, a Roma as Premium and a (slightly different/better) Littorio/Vittorio Veneto as regular tech tree ship.

Lets hope to have a Littorio or a Zara class as Premium ship. I cant wait 2-3 years to have an italian tech tree.

Premium ships are an excellent way to keep calm players for more or less one year. While they wait for the Royal Navy. Warspite, for example ....

It is a new kind of selling/marketing strategy. It is called "How to piss off customers": "We WG know that you want to buy warships like the Warspite and/or the Tirpitz ... BUT ... we dont tell you when they will be available for a short period of time. This way you have a chance to miss them again."

Almost anything at Tier V-VI. WG wont see my money at higher Tiers, not after what I'm reading on this forum. What a difference with WoT. There, I couldnt wait to get to Tier IX-X.

So is this the only post from a WG employee? In the whole release day and after all that has been written? I'm puzzled ....

I stopped playing WoT since the day I downloaded WoWS. I'm getting an email each week from WG asking me to get back to WoT ("We see that your tanks are rusting in the hangar") with pathetic new tank offers and other silly specials. Well, at least WoT has a working marketing department. With ppl actually working in it.

Or maybe, all considered, the actual release sadly *is not* a major event.

And BTW, the lack of info about Premium Ships release or worst, mislesading news, are the best way to make players miss the Warspite again. Whats this, a game in the game? I dont tell you when I'm going to sell something you really want, so you have a chance to miss it. Is this a new selling/marketing strategy?

Wishful thinking? There is that little word, "but", which gives the whole sentence a precise meaning. This is obviously important for players like me, who have missed the week the warspite was on sale, and would like to buy her now. I dont know how you read english but for me this has only one meaning: you can download WoWS, buy these legendary vessels and play them. Now. Their national fleets will follow. Anyway, nevermind the silly WG wording, what I want is a Warspite!

Well, misleading news at least. Does "can be played" mean "the players who bought it 2 months ago are able to play it, the other can only see it in game?" Perhaps in WG language

Exactly. Imagine I am a new player. I go to the main page, then to the News page. Then I try to find something about the state of the art of the game. I'd say ... WTF, are they all already at Utrecht drinking beer?

The few players online in WoWS this day of release, the lack of news on the main WoWS page, the lack of detailed info on the 0.4 patch .... well, speak for themselves. I dont think this is the way to run a new business online, a 24/7 game. I remember the high expectations we had in WoT during the OBT and at every patch release. Here? Very few seems to care, players and developers. I like very much this game, I like very much 1930-40 warships, since I was a child. I really wish them good luck .....
