Which actually was the real task of CV. But who cares? CV are in WoWS to cripple BB, CA and even DD with endless waves of arcade UFO-torpedo bombers. For the blind CV captains, many ST and cheerleaders: TB can climb vertically before mountains and then dive vertically, they can drop almost on shores so torps appear magically from the land, they can do 180° turns like bats, they dont have to do a decent torpedo run before releasing torps, they ... do I have to continue?

Read the post above yours /sarcasm.

I guess they are waiting for much more players reaching high-very high Tiers. Today the majority of players are at Tier V-VI. Allowing unified gold you allow a lot of WoT players (like me) to jump directly to Tier X in one or more tech trees. Maybe in 6 months or one year, maybe.

Does it work for catapult fighters as well?
-
Thank you, it was only out of curiosity.

Mine didnt often blow up but, it very often cought fire, detonated and lost engine/rudder/turrets. I dont see any problem in that boat /sarcasm. Seriously, just wait for the usual "L2P expert".

Hindenburg Impression - German Cruiser Bad!? Wrong Play-style or Design?
Gatt replied to AzurLane's topic in Cruisers

Nuernburg is a joke. Heck everything in the German tree suffers. Everything.

Tried the Roon and the Hindemburg in the test server. I'd say that the with the Hipper, they are the only german CA which can compete with equal/higher Tier CA and DD. About the Konig, or the Nurn or the York: everytime I found one with my Murmansk/Cleveland his ruined/flaming running arse is all I can see. If these has to fight against Tier V-VIII ships are first bullet magnets or dead meat in a few minutes. All these after action reports we see posted are about lucky battles or battles against retarded and/or lower Tiers. German CAs up to Tier VII are IMO weak, or even a joke, they need a tweak P.S.: just back from a game. A Konig was chasing our CV with about 75% of his HP. I got him with two 150mm HE salvos: the first one detonated him and second one citadel-ed him. Dead. -
german crusiers v my Aoba - they are like paper

Exactly as WG wanted them to be. -
Ok, I'm grinding down the german CA tech tree in the test server. Now I understand why there are so few players ....
-
Dont use it. th egain in turret traverse is minimal while you lose part of the good ROF of the Warspite. I prefer maximum precision with main guns.
-
^ This. Is it really so difficult to understand?
-
Awww, thanks. Not my cup of tea then.
-
Sorry for the stupid question. I want to test Tier IX and X german cruisers. Do I have to grind the entire tree starting from Tier I with 2.500 doubloons?
-
Not only citadels. I often meet them while I'm with the Murmanks, firing almost only HE. Well yes, I got even citadels firing HE to german cruisers, however I most often get fires (with huge HP lost for them), turrets, engines, rudders .. I dont know, theres something weird in them.
-
Fact is, anytime a german CA appears, she becomes THE bullet magnet. This is happening in every game I play. I, for one, often choose the Tier V-VII german cruisers as first targets. One or two shots and voilà, half HP gone and/or rudder and/or engine, turrets ... you name it. They are almost always the first to die or, if not, the first to run away and never come back.

Hipper's gun and shells seem OK. She seems a mini Tirpitz as far as gunnery is concerned. She is always an 80mm armored cruiser so, compared to 100-140mm armored cruisers, she will always be weaker. Maybe the real Hipper-class had a sloping armor, I dont know. She is always classified as a heavy cruiser but with such a light armor .... Anyway, I have only a few games with her but she seems (I repeat: seems) less glass-ish than other Tier V-VII german cruisers. -

^ This is becoming quickly a problem. And not becouse german ships are new but becouse a couple of 155 HE shots can disable the engine, the rudder and shut down one or two turrets. Everyone and their mother shoot again german cruisers as soon as they get in range. I've never seen so many ships running away from fights as german ships. Coming from the Tirpitz, it is a shame. The Tirpitz could be a wallet-warrior ship but at least when you get close to enemy Tier VII-VIII battleships you can see the effect. Yesterday, in the end of the game, I went straight to cap an enemy flag defended by 3 North Carolinas (one at 75%, two low on HP). The first I sunk with the Tirpitz excellent guns/shells, one I torpedo-ed and another one I rammed. Anyway, I sold my Konig and my Hipper is in the port till WG will fix something. -
I hear you, really. However I dont believe WG will have enough time to educate thousand of players using the CV stick. As someone have already said gamers want to be rewarded for good and fun things. WG must find a way to balance the MM and rewarding good players. If you only punish the players for not coordinating and teamplaying they'll soon get bored and will move to another game. Dont forget this is an arcade game, not a simulation. When I played Warbirds or Aces High 2 I knew I had to stick to certain air combat tactics to be a winner. Here, where a lot of things are pathetically arcade and/or random generated, is difficult to convince gamers that: a) the CV loaded with UFO-planes are the kings of the small map and b) they all have to modify their behaviour for that reason. And BTW, dexterity is the core of arcade games.
-
They could even do it, it is their own game, but it should apply only to top tiers matches. Just an idiot would send a New York BB (without AA), escorted by CA with pathetic AA, against 8-12 torpedo bombers strike. Right? Perfect logic.
-
Have you been educated in a reform school? Seems you liked it.
-
I like the teamplay as well!! Problem is: how can you educate tens of thousand of casual players? Making them lose 7-8 games out of ten till they learn? Oh MY, it will be a long and frustrating thing.
-
Well not just an excuse. Why I can play WoT without being compelled to have a close escort or being in a division or convincing other 14 players to co-operate?
-
Its probably to hard for you to understand that the casual player, not in a division, the classic F2P/MMO player, cannot be obliged to play in a team oriented way, above all if randomness (MM, shell dispersion, fires, whatever) is the king. I understand your a ST, however it should not be SO difficult to understand.
