    Post-battle statistics generally are appreciated. Designwise they (still) do look a little chunky, though. On my wishlist for the minimap: Ship names and (adjustable) transparency.

    Okinawa (3 zones): Inside B close to its eastern border (F6) there is a large island where a DD hugging its southern side while capping/defending is perfectly covered to the north, northwest and northeast from gunfire/torpdoes. Clearly gives an advantage to the team spawning south since to dig out that DD players of the northern team seriously have to expose themselves. Meanwhile the DD can safely reload and eventually reverse to either spot or spam the zone with torpedoes again and again.

    Just fyi. Only the bonus coming from premium time is included. Which makes it a bad joke for many others.

    Although it's the same cannon I feel that using the guns in my Kagero is more effective than it used to be in my Fubuki. In fact after 0.5.5 there have been a couple of battles in which I did more damage with them than with torpedos, especially in close combat against destroyers.

    Not that this would happen too often, anyway. 18 knots generally is a pain. Even a Kawachi is faster! Put a high skilled captain in my Emden today (to see wether seal clubbing would count for GNB). She is able to go 24 knots yet after actively participating in cleaning out one flank and some base defense I neither made it into range of any of the remaining enemies again nor came even close to their base before we won.
  7. Pretty sure it's not just the 3s delay. Enemies shooting several (!) salvos with high precision at me while I am rushing off (and wiggling) with a wall of smoke behind me certainly extends three seconds. I can count to 20.
  8. A small advantage? Unbelievable. I sincerely regret my latest purchase.

    Simple solution: Change the system to positive Karma only like it has been done on the forums.
  10. I can still sit (or slowly maneuvre) within smoke with my destroyers t5-9 and use my guns without getting spotted. Unless someone uses radar, of course.

    Gets old fast. You don't really want so sail around a map without vision for ten minutes desperately hoping to run into an enemy.

    I noticed it on PTS yet didn't put too much attention on it since I never sailed in ships being able to use it. While not sure about the 14,6 km it certainly seemed more than I remembered to have read before.

    I don't recall it ever did. Using it a lot and always vanish(ed) at the distance my concealment stats show.

    I don't think WG is constantly tracking every shell or long range torpedo in all matches server side to make sure blindshots do hit and count. Way too slow respectively too much server load. That said I do strongly believe data about the location of every enemy's whereabouts in a match is available to the client all the time. Much like you can see your allies (on the map). Undoubtedly encrypted or hidden, of course. Apart from that ... I have seen some of those dedicated players listed above today, all sailing in either a Furutaka or a Königsberg. Didn't really pay attention on them before. Although even shooting at targets they mostly ended up as worst members of their teams. Mostly ...

    Playing DD, CA and BB In my opinion weather gets old fast. It's awesome when an enemy pops up in your vicinity, it's utterly boring when you just get blinded and have to hope to be lucky enough to run into an enemy again which is what it's like most of the time. As I stated in a match earlier today: "I tend to give up on hunting targets". Especially later during a match when lines have thinned out already. Even in a DD since hostile DDs are even more difficult to spot. It promotes camping the cap zones respectively bottlenecks. It feels to last way too long. I'd rather shorten the length of bad weather intervalls to 3-5 minutes and let it happen twice during a battle.

    Bad Glitch - New patch [edited] up game?

    Using a couple of mods from Aslain's collection. Simply copied them over to then find the patch messed up my graphics in port. I then used an older build instead (simply copied and pasted, too) and everything was fine. Since I do not use Smoke Rings (a common source of problems) I am guessing it's about the Zeiss Zoom.

    Noticed a couple of people even receiving basic Naval achievements last night, i.e. for Ramming.
  21. I would be surprised if they added an exclusive slot for the radar consumable. Even more since the IJN cruisers would still be limted to two. I am just guessing, though.
  22. I certainly wouldn't waste smoke in the vicinity of a cruiser possibly having equipped the radar consumable. Speaking of which I wonder how many of the USN cruisers will actually prefer it to Defensive AA Fire, anyway. No, really. I do believe that destroyers being more cautious simply because they don't know wether their opponent has it will have a greater impact than the consumable itself.

    Svetlana painboat (New Karlsruhe)

    Funny, while absolutely not feeling overwhelmed the Svietlana's handling reminded me of the St. Louis. The damage output seems somewhat unreliable against higher tiers. Good enough to defend bottlenecks against light armored targets, though. Won four out of five around noon (when literally a hundred cruisers were queuing) and am actually looking forward to the rest of the grind. There is nothing I could really complain about except how long it takes her to come to a full halt.
