    [suggestion] Torpedoes speed selection

    I am against slower torpedoes to gain range - this would only encourage the fire and forget tendencies for some of the torpedo users, which would directly increase the amount of team kills in the game.

    Confusing Captain Selection Interface

    a short story how I wasted 600k: I just got enough XP to research a shiny new DD, but on my previous DD the captain has some nice skills. So I try to do as any sensible player out there: Sell old DD, sent captain to the reserves Buy new shiny DD without a captain. So far so good, but here comes the funny momment: Instead of assigning my "free" captain to my new DD, I assing the captaion of my other ship of the same nationality - there is not much to tell the two appart. An oh f**k momment - I go immediatelly to my other ship and try to get the captain back, but oh goody this time it is the reserves I am picking from, so another 200k for retrain. And as they say the third time is a charm - finally assigned the propper commander to my DD and then assigning the other commander where he belongs. Of course I have to retrain them again. So this story got me thinking: Could you please make the captain interface a bit more clear: What is his current spec Is he currently on a ship or in a reserve Put a warning dialog when you try to reasign a captain from another ship And what I actually would preffer - allow me to send a captain to the reserves and then only allow me to put captains from the reserves.

    Things iv noticed while playing.

    I can try to answer for 2 and 3 For early smoke my innitail thoughts were that I can give my long range teammates some cover - I quickly realised that I need it a lot more than they do. For fire first, especially in WoT I have seen quite a few luck 1st artilery shot kills, just firing at a possible camp spot near the start of the game, so I assume here is the same idea - fire off one shot, it might hit something and there will be plenty of time to reload before we meet the enemies.
