Still unsure about it tbh. Im sailing a full Sec build Amagi and NC and they are pretty devastating. NC is very nice because all its guns fire HE and they are pretty fast at it, those 127mm duals shredd DD's that come too close pretty reliably. Half the Amagis guns shoot AP, so they are not very usefull against anything than a Cruiser. Im eager to try out the german BB's, but i gotta skill up a captain in the Scharnhorst first and that ship is .. lets say it that way .. not very enjoyable to play.

Id go with the Dunkerque tbh. Much less frustrating and interesting gameplay. Scharnhorst is just a heavily armored cruisers than cant really do anything then kamikaze into the enemy and deal some damage. Dunkerque can easily carry an entire match.

That doesnt change the fact that i dont like it all and wouldnt recommend it .. For the same money you can get the Kutuzow which in my oppinion is a faaar better ship.

Thats actually a good idea for Manual Secs. I already had a couple of situations where i was surrounded by two enemy ships, one enemy on one side was utterly destroyed by my secondaries while the otehr one just calmly sailed past me because the other side of my ship didnt fire a single shot .. If they would actually fire without the bonus but still would fire id be a happy potato

I think Last Stand should be in Tier 1 instead of the Expert Loader, and Expert Loader on Tier 5 but instead of what it does now it would give some % of boost to reload speed.

No. Imo its a very weak ship and no fun at all to play.

I think the Dunkerque rather plays like a small NC. If you bow on you are mostly fine armor wise except for the odd superstructure pens. But if something with big guns comes along it pens you right through the nose. Firepower is concentrated on the front too like at the NC. You can stop and reverse a few times too withotu getting punished for it. My experience so far with was great.Currently at 57% win rate and 68k avarage dmg. Thats more than i have on my NC which i consider myself good in. Imo its a great ship with great carry potential, that also shows by all the super mad enemy teams i stomp back to the seafloor .. "You have been reported 2 times" "You have been reported 3 times" "You have been reported 2 times" ... after every battle. When i land the oddish 22k dmg salvo on the side of a Fuso or just oneshot delete a cruisers with 3 cits they tend to get super angry.

I already scored 15k dmg hits on Tirpitz and NC in the Dunk. It can pen everything it meets, granted if you dont make total turd shots at the bow. Play smart and you will ahve no problems. Scharnhorst is easy fodder btw.

Holy cow, im making 100k+ dmg pretty much every game in this monster. Its soft, but hell it packs a punch. Im super happy with it

This ship is the bomb ! I completely fell in love. Its just so insanely dangerous on close range, those salvos just rip everything apart.

Shes actually a very potent and decent ship, also fun to play. I was very concerned about the reviews but i cant see what everyone was complaining about. Playstyle is different, yes, you just charge stuff head on and facerool them with the main guns, or go in reverse and shell them while showing only minimal silhouette.

I only tend to take heavy damage when the superstructure gets hit. Bow is quite nicely shaped and does indeed bounce a lot.

I quite like it ! Funny how all the reviews made it look like a horrible ship, but in the end it really plays nicely and is fun. So far i had only good battles with it, its deadly agaisnt cruisers and IJN BB's, dishing out massive dmg per salvo without having to expose too much of the ship.

How about you remove xp gain entirely in ranked battles ? Winner gets the star, loser loses. That way you would at least eliminate the players who do nothing the entire round and just farm stealth caps in the end to get xp and not lose a star.

I suggest you watch this here .. Not becasue of the commantary (maybe becasue of that too) but because of the replay thats running .. Tell me again afterwards how its not ridiculously OP

I found the Mutsuki the best IJN DD in the whole tree. Its super stealthy (5.3km detection with skills and camo), fires torps twice the range and has a very fast torp reload compared to other destroyers. Rule #1 thou is: Never fire your guns. Never. Ever. Keep your distance, outside of view range, and just spam torps all over the place. Dont let the enemy know where you are, that will make it a lot harder to dodge torp barrages that come from places they wouldnt have thought of. Use the speed and concealment for sneaky suprise attacks. If you didnt like the Mutsuki i strongly advice you to stop the IJN DD line entirely, since all the other DD's are basically the same just with more torps and higher visibility. I used Mutsu in ranked for very good results. Its high camo rating made it very good for stealthy caps and since there where only few ships you could easily slip through enemy lines to launch some pesky torps into their backs while they are looking the other way.

Granted, not in Murmansk but in Kutuzow, but this is how a division (!) of 3 (!) Scharnhorsts fared against me today. First two went down to HE spam, the third one was torped by just sailing head on to it since it couldnt damage me at all. May they rest in pieces ..

This. Scharnhorst has no chance against a cruiser in a 1 on 1 engagement. Even a Murmansk can sink the Scharnhorst pretty reliably.
