Is that the same one as the +100% free xp, 50% battle xp, that you can buy directly in-game with doubloons ? Or is it a different one ?
-
Would be kinda nice if they told us that. What if I buy the shop camo and already have it by directly buying it in port. That would kinda suck and I bet their customer service is unavailable over the holidays.
-
https://worldofwarships.com/en/news/common/shippy-ki-yay/ Do we also get this on EU ?
-
Because of the different boni, the one which is available in port adds another 100% of free xp to it. That adds up quickly with Papa Papa flags and if you enjoy playing the Tirpitz you can unlock other ships with that xp without paying - so a camo with 100% more of that is a big deal. So this is why I would really like to know if the store camo is something else or the same that can be bought in port.
-
Has still nobody bought it and any idea if they are identical ?
-
Oh, Asia gets it too... https://worldofwarships.asia/en/news/specials-and-events/sse-happy-shipmas-2016/

That unique camo in the description is the same as the New Year camo, just permanent. It's also ugly.....
-
I know, but it's no use being sad about it.
-
100% more free xp is kinda nice though, the vanilla one does not have that. But no idea if it's the same as in the store. Would be great if someone knew.....and I'm not gonna test buy it, I have spent enough money on boxes and the Graf Spee for this season. At least the boxes were good value.

Well they said often enough that they want to get rid of stealth fire outside from smoke. -
Where are the Christmas convoy missions?
Panzerblitz replied to bigbramble's topic in General Discussion
So...no free ships, no free camos and no free German 10 pt Commander (would have been useful with the new line).... Thanks WG EU - I can already feel the Spirit of Christmas..... -
Where are the Christmas convoy missions?
Panzerblitz replied to bigbramble's topic in General Discussion
Silly question, I know. But does the Russian cluster also get the Convoy mission ? Or just the US and Asia cluster ? -
On Asia....
-
Is this confirmed for EU ? And not just a Russian thing ?

WG are you mad with that Detonations crap?
Panzerblitz replied to _interceptor_80's topic in General Discussion
Use the flags. In a recent match I played a BB which was not even built for secondaries. It fired a single secondary shell at a turning DD, at the maximum range of it's secondaries. The DD exploded. I giggled. -
I do a lot of ship hopping myself. Of course the longer you stay in the same ship, the more experienced you get at it. But on the tactical side switching a lot between ships and especially classes gives you insight into the tactical options of your opponents and should improve your situational awareness a great deal. I think the important part is not even to pick a main, but to play on a regular basis. Compared to WoT I find WoWS to be a more complex game, it's less twitchy and more about planning ahead and making the correct decisions. I find my own instincts and skills to deteriorate significantly faster when I take a WoWS break, than in WoT. I guess this is partly because of the higher complexity. My advice. Play what you enjoy, but try to play on a regular basis.

There's not a single historical example of subs playing any role during a fleet engagement. Subs served as scouts and pickets and sometimes ambushed stragglers out of battle.
-
The real question is if it will keep the 6km range on the secondaries. A secondary build at T6 sounds like a lot of fun.

Discussion thread for "some interesting info around the world"

Hush. Don't give them ideas like: "The Asian market is important, we must cater to our Chinese players". -
Something really needs to be done about the Bismarck.
Panzerblitz replied to SovietFury43's topic in General Discussion
Possible. But the fault here is that Japan - the torpedo nation - has torpedoes with the highest detection range. The Type93, which was a wakeless, closed circuit torpedo is a joke in this game. I want to see the Bismarck dodge US torps - historically the nation with defective torpedoes, up until late 43/early 44. US torpedoes have a significantly lower detection range and I bet the Bismarck in your example would have had a hard time against those. -

Panzerblitz replied to SovietFury43's topic in General Discussion
No, it just proves that also good players can have bad opinions. The Bismarck has plenty of weaknesses. The guns are anemic against anyone who knows how to angle. You have greater dispersion and less shells per salvo. You don't have the big alpha damage of 16" ships against targets of opportunity, where you usually only have a short window to get a salvo in. You have way too much superstructure which screams "Free Damage" and you are easy to set on fire.
