Is it overpowered well most likely but time will tell. But another point beside that question is why do WG put another ship into the game that is ANTI destroyer. Every patch it is nerf carrier or nerf destroyer in one way or the other. It is actually quite obvious to see. Several tier 7 cruisers with radar, 2 nation cruisers tier 8 and up with radar. Lots of sonar around plus planes. Personally I use the figher plane to scout for torpedoes. It does so nicely. Since the carriers are almost completely gone, the figher plane is nice to scout for them with. And furthermore can you often just avoid the defensive fire because seldom is there carriers so sonar is better.... All this is dragging the game in a direction where anti air is not so important and torpedoes is really not a big deal. You got plenty of counters to it. Captain skill, figher plane, sonar besides your sixth sense that is really incredible. When no one is seen in your spotting range then it is destroyer = turn and avoid the most possible direction the torps will come from. Would like to see some buffs for the carriers and destroyers. We need more carriers and the destroyers needs to be more powerful.

Is at rank 9 and one star from rank 8 at the moment. I took the warspite and went from rank 20 to rank 12 in 14 fights or so with 2 losses and only one star loss. At Rank 12 I took a lot of losses but lucky could not drop anymore. Is starting to win and has taken my atago and lo yang. The atago is a very nice ship when fully point captain and ship modules. 9,1 km camo, 10 km torps that are good. and so fort. It is a bit vunerable and you need to dodge like crazy at times and PAY attension all the time. That is very important. If you do not pay attention then a BBS will nuke you. It is the way it is. Always fight fight fight. And even at low health you can snipe and set bbs on fire from distance and then hide again. under 12 km to a bbs is a very bad idea unless you have cover and can torp it. Otherwise use your stealth and range. TL_warlord said many good things. Also remember that pretty much the same ships come into play so learn them inside out so to speak. Know your enemy!!! When game starts say A OR B .....try to get the team as one from start. On mountain range for example I go A to cap since no one is going that route. It is very seldom anyway. Look for enemy battleships at the start, the first one spotted usually tells where their team is going. Thus you can abandon a cap if it will meet heavy team cap. There are lots of these small tips. Other one is make your team focus on targets. Please do highlight them for team to shoot at. Focus fire can kill enemies fast even battleships and when you are getting ahead in ships it starts to be hard for the enemy to win. Always think positive and do your best. is the team behind with 2 ships....well it can turn. Can not say anymore than this : Patience, Awareness, Co-ordination, and Communication it is essential.

My point of view on the subject. You can not just put it up like that because it depends on what you are defending against. A small armor outside and then a bigger armor layer will be more effective against High explosive shells. Remember that spalding of fragments on the inside armor can occur if a bigger plate get hit. By having more layers the first will take most of the blast and then the space until the next will lower the impact. Another point is that is that with angled plates you need to have more room for the angle of the plates until the area that must be protected than just a vertical plate. Also there is the danger of getting hit at an angle that lowers the effectiveness of the angled plate thus getting more pentration of the shell than just an vertikal plate with good protection. In tanks the angled sides is much more important because you will face another tank at an somewhat close to 90 degrees hit. It is more easy to design the tank towards hits. In ship combat you get hit from longer ranges and thus having bigger angles involved in the shell drop. Your deck armor is just as important but hard to defend against those hits. I think normally a 400 mm plate is better than 4 100mm plates vs AP but if the plates are angled and gets hit the right angle I would guess that the breaking of the shell leads to lower pen on the last plates. In tanks you used the angled plates because they did not weigh as much while providing the same armor. Lowering weight is also an issue.

Found it intresting to watch and learn for new clans. The strats about smoke/anti smoke and more heavy torp boat vs benson seemed nice. I still thinks that the importance of atago (silly boat with 9,1 camo, have it myself) and kutusov is bad for the game. There is an issue with 2 boats that are premium is the best in top clan play. Chapayev was new to see. Nice ship. Why did people use the NC. Thinks the amagi is better ship!! or bismarck for sure. Yes the AA is better but really the CVs almost never attacked anything besides ships that has run away like dds.

If we are talking per volley that hits, the myoko has 73,16% of chance to set fire to an equal tier ship which is the highest in the game. The reason why the Zao does not inflict more fires, even though it has 2 shots per volley and 2 % more fire chance per shot, is that ships in tier 10 has an anti-fire coefficient of 0,5005% and tier 7 has 0,7003%. If it is a highest fires set in a minute of hits, where all shots do hit, then the Atlanta has the highest at the moment. The shchors has the highest fires set in a minutte if we are talking non premium ship above tier 5 only surpassed by Atlanta.

If you are asking how to improve your profile stats.....best first, worst last. Damage overall : Carriers, Battleships, cruisers, destroyers in that order normaly Exp per game : Destroyers/Carriers, cruisers/battleships. Winratio: Carriers, destroyers, battleships, cruisers. Of course some units are better than others. I think this is just a general guide. It is hard in wows to increase all stats overall besides in carriers. For instance playing destroyers, you will lower your average damage but increase the avg exp and possible the win rate. -

Hi Is playing langley and it is really hard to avoid getting killed from enemy cv rushes on my cv. Is sailing and doing all sorts of stuff but near impossible to avoid. Funny enough when I try it myself on other team, then they survive with 1-2 k..and i lose pretty much the game afterwards. -

The issue is, when you have an useless skill like fire prevention and you make it an incredible good one. 15 or 30% lower fire damage is a big deal. Then it is a nerf of ships that NEEDS those fires. The entire british cruiser line that comes soon is based on fast 152mm fire spamming. They are completely depend on that mechanics. Some of the ideas are correct they will help but they will also help the battleship in nuking the cruiser so I do not see them that helpful. Fire damage was the last time i saw it from a chart around 14% of the damage battleships take. I can not see a problem in that. My warspite can heal 5 times and with 20% more heal that is 11k each time. Furthermore with upgrades it takes around 6-7 k of damage for a fire. It is really not a big issue. I think most battleships players just wants their ship to be total immune of damage. Nerf destroyers, nerf cruisers etc. It is really not that hard to avoid torps and the fire is seldom an issue. -

I do like the idea of getting rid of the no brainer choices. I would make the skill tree a bit different. There are some different types of playstyles and ships. Sadly your suggestion does not benefit them all. Your skill tree would effectively buff the battleship immensely and nerf the cruisers a lot. Battleships would pick this : high alert, BoS, fire prevention, Vigilance/survivability expert, jack of all trades. The 16-17 and 18 should be used on , measuring instruments and reduced dispersion. I am not sure what your intentions are but if it is to make cruisers , the ipn ships completely useless that is a good step in doing so. Some ships only way of playing is to use fire, if that is not viable then what is the point. Both reducing time of burn AND reducing fire chance will effectively make some ships non playable. It is a fine line. Yes the demolition expert gets nulified by the fire prevention skill but that essential just a buff of the battleship. Reduce fire damage is at the moment a nerf of cruisers and a hard one. d -

Thanks for the replies despite my rant. Well is playing the us line. Is in bogey now. I have tried hosho also but i am not very good at ipn..it seems. Is okay with torps but that Kaiser is simply a pain in the [edited]. It turns very fast and has good AA. With only one squad of torps i need to go close to have a chance of hitting it. and lose planes in the process. Is thinking on the 2 fighters , 1 bomber setup. But perhaps the strike setup is better but since my problem is those rushes maybe i need to play more as AS cv....then offensive which seems badly for my style. -

Well it seems that it is really easy to just bypass any form for logic and just go full attack from start. The defensive fire ability which the cv at tier 8 and up should also be at lower tiers. -

Since people are a bit confused about fire chance. It is not mine this one but does the job. Last I checked the mogami has the highest fire chance per volley. The Atlanta the highest fire per min. Fire can be an issue but really what is the alternative to that. Make cruisers more or less obsolete? Besides with all the anti fire upgrades you can narrow it down. Gulvkluderguld: The issue is that by giving radar to new ships and half the reload time, is only to counter the incomming british cruiser line. The bottom line is that more radar is more of an disadvantage for dds players. If your smoke is getting removed by radar, you are dead. So more of this in the game is making dds less good class to play. I am actually not certain that the entire british cruiser line is a good idea. Imagine a fast cleaveland with smoke. That is gonna be fun for battleships. Is hard counters the way to go for this game? The scharnhorst is really the first ship, that breaks the meta of the game. It is a battleship type ship, which is great at kiling cruisers and setting on other bbs with fire. It is MUCH harder to avoid getting killed by one than the normal bbs ships. These crossover ships is making divisions and ship selection much more powerful.

Actually funny to see the difference between tier 9 and 10 is so big. One of the reasons why tier 8 play is not a tier worth playing. Still some of my points hold up. The scharnhorst is killing the meta. British cruisers is the next line that does that. WG releases some quick fix like radar to a lot and half reload time....again hit on destroyers. smile.

Buy the new ships, free xp to the obvious OP ones. The powercreep in this game is even bigger than WOT. Imagine that. The scharnhorst is obvious p2w ship. Destroys metas and is evil with other bbs. -
The new british cruiser line is again another example of this. Eventhough I just predict this, the ships functions as destroyers with FAST fire rate and smoke. WGs solution, release more radar to ships and faster to counter the british ships...and voila the destroyers is being punished AGAIN. Wargaming is just releasing one patch after the other that nerfs one line on the behalf of old lines.

Got 7 days for free, then half and hour later I got more one lol. Happend also to a friend in the clan aswell. Both were using standard accounts. The premium users got nothing. Seems like a pattern here.

Hi I have right now 3 tier 5 arp kongos and 2 tier 7 myokos. I can fast grind a high level captain I guess. But what are WGs plan for them? Why should i keep on playing them since I do not get any extra credits or xp instead of my atago. I can not understand where this ARP is going. What ships can we expect in the future and what is the general idea of them. Are they allowed in future clan wars? If not then I would not waste more time on them and what tier will clan wars be? I guess tier 8-10 which makes them useless to grind further on. Why can WG not tell us what the general plan of the ships are? Do they stay in the game or can they be removed when contract with comic firm stops.... Really how about they start telling us what the idea of grinding captains on them should matter for!
