Hi, I was wondering if someone was to make a mod for the top-down CV view that changes the colour scheme of water to greyscale, and ships red or purple to make them highly visible. Also the zoom-in feature would be nice if it didn't tilt the view like it does now. I'm playing on a 15' screen, and it sometimes feel like I have to put my face close to it in order to precisely torp fast moving ships like DD's and cruisers, now ships look dark, against the dark water, so their contour is sometimes hard to work out especially when they are manoeuvring violently. I'm attaching a screenshot of how I visualize the mod, would this be legal in the game? Also this sort of "radar-view" in my opinion would be more engaging than God-view

Why don't you go back to your "cry of the day" diary and stay out of my business

Shepbur, on 14 August 2015 - 09:59 AM, said: Eye of sauron. Not technically against the rules, but from what i heard last, it was disabled along with the lead aim assist mods... (and yes, this discussion has been had over a period of a month or so back in may/june i think) I don't remember eye of sauron mod having a different colour scheme for the overview for carriers? Wasn't it mainly for BB's because it gave unnatural way of sniping bump

The ships and indicators would be exactly like they are now, just coloured pink I was just lazy to photoshop it, paint ftw

The ship below had full control of motion, and I could shoot my guns and torpedoes and didn't seem to take damage as well Legit strategy?? Almost pissed myself laughing during this

That Atago was a DD carrier for a day, so anything is possible

Been meaning to post this poll for a while now, no time like the present I guess. Would like to see where the community stands on this matter. Regards,

Look at G5, that's where we killed the last 2 remaining battleships, and there was 3.2 minutes left, there were no time for people to get into the cap and Shokaku was right in everybody gun views, but it was impossible for them to hit it, my mate Elendor (check his stats) was only able to graze him and he was shooting at him for 2 minutes before he got sunk by his planes. Let's just be clear from the beginning, the player did nothing wrong, the problem is that the game allowed him or her to do it in the first place.

I....... I..... I am staggered Do you mind if I stick it to the original post?

"admitted" is when you hide until someone calls you out on it, I never hid nor denied using it, I used it for specific educational purposes but as Hansz said two wrongs don't make it right, no matter how you look at it. But this is the first time that I ever saw you saying that you don't like it yourself, and now I feel bad for calling you out on it. I like the way you point out that if everyone else would promise not to use it , you would be happy not to use it ever again. Therefore I think we should just lay our fists to rest , hold hands and ask WG to remove it for good. Because face it, using it or not, game breaking or not, we all agree on some level that it is in fact kinda silly.

Sir I meant no offence, I just wanted to confirm, I've met a lot of Germans in my life (my favourite clients by the way, simply of how they think and reason), what I've learned that Germans are methodical people indeed but they tend to argue in either right wing or left wing extremes , I myself have a flare for sarcastic exaggeration which Germans in particular sometimes mistake for sheer arrogance, and that's not a bad thing but it got me in trouble in the past I'm in no way expert on Germany, I think they are fantastic people so please excuse me if I'm indeed talking out of my arse here. That's all I meant there, nothing less nothing more About the two wrongs do not make it right, you make it sound like I border surf 24/7 and then come tell other people not to do it on the forums As I said I started this war on border surfing quite some time ago, and since then I was given multiple suggestions on how you can defeat it in one way or another and even how to abuse it to the max, but instead of dismissing their claims - I've tried these techniques over and over to see for my self. The fact is simple, you can't write a book about cars if you don't have a driving license, that would make you ignorant. So either hypocrite or ignorant, it's a slippery slope once you are knees deep in this matter. Therefore Nietzsches quote - "Whoever fights monsters should beware of becoming monsters themselves, for if you gaze long enough into the abyss, the abyss gazes also into you." Seemed quite fitting.

*cough* aim mod *cough* was also working as intended and created by WG themselves *cough* outvoted by the majority of people *cough* uff, that was a doozie, must be the flu season
-
I would say it's modable, just look what they did for that april fools joke with star ships skins
-
I want a solid mod that makes all ships look prestine and brand new, just off the production line, as oppose to being rust buckets x_x

YES, FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS HOLY, WG PLEASE

Sir are you German? I'm using metaphors that are not exactly white and grey in their meaning here, what I meant to say is that I do it out of spite to successfully prove a point that it can in fact be abused. For example, in one of my last games I managed to sneak behind enemy lines in OCEAN MAP OF ALL THINGS undetected in my Sims, popped out in front of a BB sunk him near his own cap, and border slid away scot-free with two angry Clevelands after me and unable to hit me, thinking to myself "yup, working as intended because logic". Or do you seriously think I open these threads without any research whatsoever? I went out of my way to grind CV's all the way up to tier X even when I don't like them just to learn more about them and prove a point (I actually firmly believe that I discovered a hidden perk within CV players themselves that allows them to smash the competition so effectively, my thoughts on the whole state of affairs in regards to CV's is coming on forums soon, when I figure out the correct way to word it) That being said, I've been going out of my way to study, learn and replicate border techniques simply for the notion of not talking out of my [edited]all the time about the said issue. Instead of just being in my face all the time, you could perhaps at least give me some benefit of the doubt.

Talking about ignorance, the reality check arrived a while back, and people with that exact mentality as you just expressed are rather a minority ( https://www.google.ie/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8#q=world%20of%20warships%20border%20poll ) The biggest problem is that most of the supertesters are the ones advertising it on streams thus infecting the community. It's not we who should deal with it, it's you who should deal with the fact that border abusing is not welcome in world of warships.

I love how he's trying to cover up him using the border, even though at least 2 people from that game already confirmed that he was doing it the entire time And 5hp left? Even when screenshot shows 31k hp, 4 seconds left, and no shells coming his way And please note the smirky comment at the end of the game "gg ;) winky face" like "yeah [edited]you hahahahaha", again same as artillery drowning itself in wot, petty and disgusting indeed

Sure honey, here's some coins for the cab fair I swear I will call

Just gonna have to repeat myself i guess: In a fast ship its undenyingly advantageous to rudder shift while border sliding, in order to dodge shells, especialy slower moving ones, like pensa vs pensa. We have to take into consideration that the "mechanic" has been around for long enough, which evolved a part of the community whom are actually eerily adept in using it. And those are the people who will dodge the shell, not the noobs trying to imitate what they saw in another game and getting blown while doing it, being too predictable and such.
