  1. - a hundred-billion times outperformed by torpedo bombers - Are used singularly for starting fires, which would be fine if they would not be: - Inaccurate as hell or: - damage control party wouldnt work as an instant miracle cure for everything - Cannot be AT ALL used against smaller ships because they wont hit **** - They get literally torn to shreds by larger ship's AA batteries (having to enter the 3km range for the high dmg AA) - For all its uselessness it still comes with the classic carrier backdraws: Long travel time, rearming, being shot down by fighters, etc - TL;DR: Completely and utterly useless. Not just as a synonym, but by the literal sense of the word: Useless. Unless you get lucky and accidentally tripple fire a ship which has its damage control party on cooldown, this unit will do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING There is no percentage of damage control involved, no unsuccessful fire controls, no "critical" fires, no nothing. You might dive bomb a ship and in 0.5 seconds it might have removed all fires from itself. For all its absolutely abysmal performance, damage and use, it takes up room from fighters and torp bombers. Frikin hell, i would be happy to have them replaced by fighters if nothing else. They at least fulfill a frikin role, even if unable to damage ships at all, but these wastes of space? Dive bombers exist solely to piss off CV players. Remove them altogether, or revamp them fully. As they are, they are nothing more than a monument to the developer's short sight.
  2. The only way to take down an american fighter group is to send 2-3 japanese fighters on them. Its frikin ridiculous. I have 2 captain talents and 2 ship mods on fighters, yet all my fighter groups are capable of is taking down 1, at best 2 enemy fighters before being destroyed. Why do you even have the option to talent or mod these when they are worthless? You are literally implying to your players that their fighters are actually worth something and its beneficial to talent and mod into them. Well its NOT. You are literally scamming everyone by allowing any talenting into fighter groups on the japanese side. Japanese fighters are worth less than cow feces. There is also the notion that all american plane groups start at 6 planes while japanese starts at 4. They then can talent into having 7 planes in a single squadron. I swear to god the game balancing is as if it was designed by 8 year old children.
  3. Could you explain the part to me where you implied that realism = more fun? Sure son, why not then implement real-time and real-transaction into the game? You can buy your very own Gerald R. Ford-class carrier for 36.30 billion us dollars, and you will be able to play it in roughly 7 years once its built. Realism in games is a rather fragile concept and pretty much a fallacy when used as such an argument. That being said: Yes. Torps are OP, but then again: Anything less has no place in the game, simply because it has no point. Why would ANYONE in their right mind choose a flying matchstick over a BB? Nobody would. You want to play realism? Fine. It starts like this: Dive bombers are perfectly fine as they are, as long you get about.... 5000% larger maps. Then have fun thinking about stuff once a squadron of useless matchsticks attacks you from a carrier 300km away
  4. Yeah, im sure you can kill DDs with dive bombers, similarly as to how water can cut stone through thousands of years. The reality of the question is this: 2 torp bombers -> 1 single run -> 1 cross patter -> DD is dead or incapacitated 2 dive bombers -> 36 attack runs -> DD died -> extremely good job m8 Yet trying to hit DDs is but one single point of the list. You do not need special skills to be able to tell how badly divers are hurt by backdraws and how little they contribute in return. At least compared to torpedo bombers.

WG'ing's way of stealing Gold through demounting modules.

TL;DR: This is a really underhanded method to force players into buying gold. Even aside from the "developers need to eat too" classic strawman.
