That's hilarious. An obvious bug that should show in the replay, but still very funny.
-
I suspect that you're getting overpenetrating shots because of the very high base pen, the close range and the currently unfinished armour models. Basically your shots have such high pen that they go straight through. There are places that they probably shouldn't but do right now.
-
I suspect they'll add nameplates in the same way they do in WoT: through purchasable decals with historical class names.
-
Since that doesn't happen with any other ship that I've so far seen Im calling bug.

Until you get to the high tiers where the torpedo ranges equalise and the Japanese guns remain awful.

Omaha a keeper? My second battle in the yank ship - 7 kills
OnboardG1 replied to Silu_0's topic in General Discussion
Your citadel is huge in the Omaha but the guns are excellent and you can drive straight at or away from the enemy while still delivering a six gun salvo. You shouldn't really ever be broadside on in this unless you aren't the focus of attention. -
I played through the Kawachii in four games. Three of them were T6. One was T5 on Ocean. Sod that.
-
Someone mentioned that stacking it with the turret skill on the Gremyaschy was worthwhile because it let you track while turning more easily.
-
There was a long discussion on wotlabs about this and we THINK that it's a slower reload for faster turn time. This tallies with alpha experience. However, Jingles' latest video seems to suggest that the reload does go down (unless he was having a senior moment and forgot to load the modification). I'd test it but I'm away from my PC right now.

No, because I've talked reasonably bright but inexperienced players through carries before when they would have lost without input.
-
I wondered if the shell penetration is higher, but since that stat is hidden for some reason who knows...
-
My first game on ocean was getting dragged up into T5 in a stock Kawachii with three Kongos on the red team. I've hated it ever since.
-
Honestly, I'm not feeling it for the KM. The Hochseeflotte yes but not the KM. I'd rather see nations that had decent fleet lineups for both world wars, and yes that includes Russia, before the sad mess of the German surface fleet in WW2.
-
This is a problem with most of the cruisers bar the Cleveland, particularly the Japanese ones.
-
What ship class will you play the most after release?
OnboardG1 replied to goodman528's topic in General Discussion
Battleships and Destroyers because they're the only classes capable of hard carrying consistently. One through map control, the other through cap control. If they fix the fragility of cruisers then I'll probably play those quite a bit. -
If they reduce the citadel hit incidence then cruisers would be in a good place. Right now it's frustrating to be eliminated from the game so easily once a BB notices you.
-
I'd like to see the RM even before the HSF. Lots of very dangerous cruisers and destroyers.
-
I really don't like ocean. It's featureless, uninteresting and favours battleships too much. It reminds me of Prokh or Stalingrad: maps that screw one class hard enough to make you slap your head on the table. The same goes for New Dawn, which is poor for battleships. It's not good map design.

People don't understand the difference between accuracy and precision. Precision is generally how straight you shoot, so a precise archer will hit the same spot every time. A precise archer could still not hit where she aims though and still hit the same point, making her precise but inaccurate. An archer who gets hits all over the place, but where the cluster is distributed roughly around where she aims is accurate but not precise. The shot distribution is your precision value. This mod makes you more accurate, which makes you hit more.
-
Well, that escalated quickly.

Sounds like someone did a commit without checking their get. Version control problems.

Please let somebody change something with Nagato
OnboardG1 replied to ravenblight's topic in Archive
Having 50% more guns would account for that. I love the Nagato. I much prefer it to the Fuso. You can angle up your armour to be virtually immune to your own calibre at anything other than right up close and the punch of the guns means I get more citadel hits. It suffers more from the desynch issues than a Fuso because of the smaller broadside weight. -
It was going to be simultaneous but a certain researcher didn't do his homework, or so the rumour mill goes.
-
I HATED the Kuma with a vengeful passion. Partly that was the ghastly T4 matchmaking, but it's such a fragile ship that its impossibly difficult to use.
-
So, avoiding the historical argument, a replay would help me indicate where you might have gone wrong.
