Ranked Battles Season 10

Quite nice. When you reach rank 15, you can´t go on unless you have a tier X ship...

Yepp, stupid rule. I fought 9 Battles and can´t go on, because I´m at Tier IX.

Can warship consider removing that rule with not losing a star as "best" player in losing team. Some players just play a game for themselves in the end game especially instead of team play tactically due to that rule.

Well, been playing some matches of this season and I can say:
- As other seasons, matchmaker do whatever it wants to provide you an unbalanced match. Your team can overwhelm or be overwhelmed. Not an even match within +50 played.
- Radar ships everywhere. Last season you can easily take 4 dds 2 cas and 1 bb on your team. This season you can have max 3 (wich it's ok) and 3 radar cruiser.
- The Stalingrad makes a BIG unbalance.
- It's so awful that when you played a ranked battle you, or some of your team mates, got game crashed.
So... not very happy about it. But it's just my opinion.

And matchmaking was only crap for t8 - t10 in random, now it is for t7 - t10 in random and also on ranked.

'skill' is totally NOT involved in this game.

That makes it not a game at all. Its roulette and WG decides who has advantage.

 

It has become a useless piece of shitware.

 

Thats why so many leave or uninstall.

 

Game is made dead, will only take 1 year or so before player counters are to low to sustain.

 

Many have complained about it in multiple threads on the forum.

But they 'WG' dont do anything.

 

Many have written solutions up to 'fire staff' 'fire product managers'.

But they didnt do.

 

So...

Uninstall and never get software again from 'them' is only solution if you dont like what there is now.

Or keep playing, but only 'free' and hope they digitally die out soon.

Agree a very dissatisfying ranked season I have played 9 battles and its over as I have only,,, only reached tier 9.  :( 

No tier 10 so season only lasted 4 days not much of a ranked season rank 15 and capped.

be happy, with all the radar, new ships and stalingrad its really not fun.....maybe a t6 season would be better....since all the other tiers have at least one or multiple ships in it that simply r broken.....

The Stalingrad is tough, but the Worcester is the real nightmare. For sure this game has needed a new and better HE spammer...

Only 6 battles played, rank 15 reached, and .. what a surprise:  Again, similarly as in the previous season - tier X ship required.

And what´s more, tier X will be required till/within rank 2 !

 

Sorry, but this "tier X" has been done also for this season - what a bad decision!   Ok, I have at least one tier X ship (Zao) in comparison with the last season, but ... am I happy?  Hell, no ! ... Why?

 

- I have more ships on tier IX or VIII, and a huge amount of ships on lower tiers ... (but to play tier V in ranked battles, I have to reach rank 1, ... ha ha ha)

- Ok, I can participate in battles requiring tier X, but ... no fun for me, if I´m not able to choose among DDs, CCs, BBs ...  And what about other players not having tier X ship ?

- There is no concurrence in tiers in rank battles. It would be much better for players to play e.g. tier VI, then tier VII, VIII ..., so players can participate in ranked AND in the same time gain experience for ship one tier higher.

  If you play tier VIII, you can´t accumulate normal XPs for tier X ship, only free XPs.

- Gift shop is full of tier VIII ships offered for ranked battles, but ... they can´t be used for tier X battles / ranks 15 - 2 ... (WG marketing guys, do you know that, don´t you ... ?)

 

 Shortly:  requirement "tier X" is bad decision for ranked battles ... tier IX would be much, much better !!

I have 4 tier tens ... Shimma , GK , Mino  and  République  ... and am  not enjoying it at all . I like many other people are much happier at tier 8 . it's  a tier with so much choice  and many more people have a tier 8 . 

Personally I would like tier 6 from rank 23 to 15  and then tier 8 till rank 2 and then at rank 1 play tier 10 or may be give the tier 9's a bit of love and have rank 1 play tier 9  ?? 

I did like it when you kept changing the ranked ship tiers it gave it a bit of fun and suspense.   

Just my thoughts .

The lack of replies in this thread is concerning to say the least, tier X from rank 15 is shocking.

myself like the majority of the player base have lives outside of gaming i.e work, chores  and mouths to feed making grinding to tier X impossible almost.

but the blatant advertising of tier 8 ships for ranked and then sticking there fingers up is downright disgusting...

 

still great game though. 

Tier X from 15 is frankly stupid.. Not the foggiest why the devs thought that would be a good idea. I think that frankly this season is a bust, its an exercise in patience anyway and frankly I have better things to do with my time.

While BalanceGrad is really a game-breaking feature, I see quite rarely a Stalingrad on the enemy team.

However Worchesters I see a LOT, and it it not fun to be lit up by three fires even though you fit for survive ability on your ship. 

Usually I see a setup like this:
Conqueror (HE)

Repblic (AP/HE)

Worchester (HE)

Worchester (HE)

Minotaur / Zao (HE when Zao)

Gearing (torp)

Shimakaze (torp)

 

So my Damage Control is like almost always on cooldown. Not fun and not engaging. More like grinding work

I Loved it to, when it was 1 time Tier 8 then Tier X then Tier 6 but now only Tier X is boring:(

I can't understand the focus of main events being on tier X, of course, we all grind for tier x ships (I have 10) but to be honest tiers 5-9 are also fun.

please pick another tier for next rb, i agree t6 would be most fun , with t5 as starter rank so we can play some t5 ships again without getting screwed by MM

yup sorry WG have to say i have 7 Rank 1s and this is the most toxic and most uninteresting rank i have played yet 300 games and can barely move a rank now the whole balance of t10 is unusable and on the off chance you get a CV whole teams get slaughtered by the better CV player there is a reason you dont allow them in clan battles so whats the reason you allow them in Ranked ?

Completly agree, one carrier took out all our cruisers and killed our cv, only destroyers and bb's left......... game was over in 5 minutes with all bb alive...... welcome to season 10, call it Carrier party time. WG never make this mistake again, cost you some income this time, will cost you more next time. 

yup i dont think ill be back to a ranked until they decide what the long term plan for t10s is, its either for clan battles or something else but should NOT be used for ranked as it costs far too much for a mode of play which doesn't really contribute to your clan if im going to use my most expensive to run ships then i want it to be worth something all around not just a few flags and a couple doubloons and some steel so more can get that POS stonkingrad

Not having much fun in this ranked battle, either. It's weird. It's like winners are already decided before you even play. One game I damage the crap out of everything I shoot at, the next I just get bounces or everything misses. Can't get past level ten. 

I usually like Ranked. But not a big fan of T10 ranked. But to be transparent, I do not like Ranked for it's competitive component. I like it for its collaborative. Usually, half-way through the season, Ranked becomes selfish and salty. That's usually the signal that it is time to leave.

 

Why not stick until Rank 1? Because it is a huge time investment (which is difficult when you have a job, family and friends), even with a 100% win rate I would probably not play enough battles to get there. The second reason is that I prefer to play with friends, so as soon as they hop on Discord we play Divisions and not Ranked.

What is great about ranked?

Ranked allows us to discover lower tier ships in more even playfield. Not facing enemies either way more poweful or way less powerful. One of my preferred was the T6 ranked for instance. But 5, 7, 8 and 9 all have interesting potential. You could perfectly have more tiers being used through ranked. T10 are ships we face a lot while grinding 8 and 9, so happy to see other ships as well.

I agree that games with CVs are problematic. The team with the best CV wins in a way that has little to do with the rest of the team.

 

I just can't enjoy ranked so I set myself the target of getting to rank 10 so I can get the flag and then I stop I don't even try to go further because the attitude of players is just so toxic in ranked; for a start usually the person who YOLO rushes the other team then spends the entire battle whinging why didn't everyone back him up or you end up where the team don't cooperate even when you suggest a strategy you almost never get a reply most people only use the chat to complain and blame. I also find having CVs in ranked a big issue because there is such a disparity in skill levels, if you have a good CV player your carried to victory but if the other teams CV player is good it doesn't matter what you do it's next to impossible to win. I genuinely am impressed that so many people are prepared to endure ranked battles I just can't enjoy them

with that tier x setup a loose is about always -credits so progressing becomes  bit of a dollar game
