I'm a noob CV and I'm discovering that the green(yellow) area that shows the torpedoes dropper planes is not very "accurate". It does not represent the time of the torpedoes falling from the plane, and happened me several times that i dropped torpedoes UNDER their ships!

Do you think the green area should be re-worked?

I'm pretty sure you misunderstand. The drop indicator pretty accurately shows where the torps hit the water (and if water happens to be land, they're wasted) but these torps still need some time to arm. What it means is that if you drop too close, your torps will just bounce harmlessly off their target. The torps are in the water (you can even see their wake animated) but the "torp here" markers only appear when they arm and become dangerous.
