Warmed up? Here's the second beauty:

HMS Gallant (H59)

This mid-1930s G-class ship had seen a lot - starting with neutrality patrols during the Spanish Civil War. She suffered light damage during the evacuation of Dunkirk and escorted numerous convoys in the Mediterranean. Does Operation Excess ring a bell?

Part 3

I'm somewhat confused as to why Gallant has been picked to represent the G-class Destroyers as a Premium rather than Glowworm

Gallant probably for her longer wartime career, plus connection to Operation Dynamo  and the Med.

Well, I'm not going to lie, I'm a little disappointed, I would have thought the efforts of Glowworm to ram the Admiral Hipper would have made her a perfect candidate as an interesting and significant premium, especially when the Hipper has Glowworm written on her turret ingame, a nice nod to the real ship. Additionally Glowworm's commander, Gerard Broadmead Roope was awarded a posthumous VC for his actions which is quite something (the first VC awarded in WWII iirc). Glowworm is the perfect candidate in my opinion.

You really do want WG EU to go into the ramming missions for destroyers, do you?

Glowworm will be a tier 7 with 2x5 prototype torpedo launchers but I can think of many normal spec A-G class destroyers I'd prefer over Gallant.

Electra is the most famous, being involved in Narvik with Warspite, Hunt for Bismarck with Hood and Battle of the Java Sea with Perth. (plus many more)

Oh yeah, the Christopher Nolan film Dunkirk isn't far off. That's why..... Shame it wasn't HMS Havant which was sunk during the evacuation (and another ship for my J.S White collection :hiding:)

How about premium german DD, just to have a premium in every class in that line?

Haunted by bad teams. Pestered with horrible MM. Hated by RNG. Harrased by dispersion.
Cursed with loosing streaks. Hectored by self proclaimed admirals. Stalked by pink ships.
Oppressed by HE spam. Nagged by torpedo walls. Bullied by enemy aircrafts.

With
Supercontainers plagued with upgrades.

WG do something about that.

Come on Gravy spill the beans. What inside info do you have? Do we get an RN DD  line this year? She will defiantly be in my port. But she is a strange choice for a Prem. Many more more famous DD from from around that time

You know more than me! Fingers crossed we get a DD line this year but expect Gallant to be released at the same time as Dunkirk in July.

These are small torpedo boats with low gun DPM so...

B to G class, inc Gallant (2x4 Mk IX) = Tier 6, balanced around Hatsuharu.

I class, inc Glowworm (2x5 Mk IX) = Tier 7, balanced around Shiratsuyu.

Fun fact.

A stock Gallant has a 0.4% chance to shoot down a tier 6 plane at 1.2km. Add all the buffs and you have a 0.6% chance to shoot down a tier 6 plane at 1.7km.

Plenty.

T-23 and T-27 managed to sink HMS Charybdis for example.

And what your question has to do with anything except your lack of knowledge?

Well we have a USN DD USS Sims.. She did nothing but get Sunk in WW2. So whats your beef.  Its a perfectly reasonable Request.

4 DD tech line nations

USN has 2/4 Prem DD

SN has 2/3 Prem DD

IJN Loads of Prem DD

German Tech tree 0 Prem DD

number after / is DDs no longer available or Reward DD

Never thought I'd be excited about RN DDs before...the Campbeltown never interested me (probably because it's just a US DD with less firepower).

I thought that surely the only RN DD that would get me excited would be Glowworm, but here I am totally looking forward to find out Gallant's stats.

She is a little cutie, afterall. :child:

This post has been edited by the moderation team due to trolling

199 ships at port.

Missing ships: Midway, Hakuryu (CV's are a joke at the moment), Iwaki (I wasn't lucky to be an Alfa tester), Flint and Black (I'm not a contributor and don't play ranked as the retroactive rewards program of WG is utter sh***t and unfair).

I dream of a forum with clear straightforward rules, professional moderators and objective sanctions based on rules (not "guidelines") and not depending on the moderator mood, beliefs or their own interpretation of the "rules".
