Ok guys, here we go.

one question: If I sopouse the fu4 is the top tier fighter, how is the jap top tier fighter?

F4U is not the top tier fighter. So…  :) Top tier fighters will be jets (like McDonnell F2H or Kyushu J7W2).

We'd like to have one.

When a bomb falls on an aircraft carrier deck, can then an air traffic still exist?

Depends on the damage done. If the deck takes too heavy damage, traffic will be stopped until it's repaired.

1. If a ship is damaged (direct hit or better torpedo), will it tilt to the side and will this affect its targeting abilities?
2. How many slots will there be for equipment and/or consumables?
3. If you upgrade skills on your aircraft carrier crew, will this affect the AI on the airplanes on that carrier to fly faster, hit more precise, make more damage on enemy ships or something like that?
4. Will direct hits on the runway of an aircraft carrier affect landing of his planes, or will there be a health bar/percent?

1. Yes, a ship will take list and/or trim for this side. No, the effect for its targeting abilities will be negligible.
2. Most likely 3 each.
3. Yes, except “make more damage”.
4. See above. The flight deck will not have its own health bar.

Since the Tier 2 of each nation will most likely be Seaplane Trawlers and the Germans can get carriers up to tier 8, will you be considering making a tier 9 and 10 carrier for their tech tree using the hulls of the Bismark and H-42?
Which nation do you plan on being the 4th to be added to WoWS? As we got the USN and IJN first followed by the RN.

If WoWS is not to be tanks at sea then how Naval Gunnery is dealt with is vitally important, please give us a clue. [/sup]
Main armament fires at the click of a button, with all guns that have acquired target (are aiming in its direction) and are reloaded at that time. Guns in a turret fire and reload at the same time. Secondary armament fires automatically when target is in range and in firing arc, also following the principle above. As for aiming, there are multiple reticles around each other from small to big - the outer ones disappear when firing consistently at the same area. That's it in a nutshell.
EDIT: Just noticed. Pichu has it correctly: secondary armament fires in salvos.

But, can we have alpha? On a serious note How effective will Torpedoes be in game? Will it be dependent on the ship class and nation?

Torpedoes are very effective and deal massive buoyancy damage (and HP depending on hit location). Obviously the exact effect depends on the torpedo type and model, but it wouldn't matter if the same torpedo is launched from a cruiser or a destroyer. And currently there is nothing more hair raising than when you're looking at your beautiful ship as it glides through the beautifully animated waves and then a torpedo salvo is spotted closing in very fast and you know that you can't turn in time...  :playing:

How long is the radius of the Arcraft Carrier? Is it like a SPG tank? (More radius if you have a higher tier).

If you're asking about the range of the aircraft, then that depends on the aircraft themselves. Some have greater range, some shorter, so there might not be a linear correlation between carrier tier and the range of its aircraft.

just been doing some research at a certain ship, and i noticed there is an important difference between 'dual' / 'triple' and '2-gun' '3-gun' turret. When, for example, a triple turret gets hit and 1 gun gets destroyed, all guns will be stuck in 1 position (like in wot with a destroyed gun) When a 3-gun turret gets hit, and 1 gun gets stuck, in real life the other 2 still can be elevated and fired. Will there be a difference between those problems in-game, or will damage allways be done to all guns in a turret? (so if 1 gun gets hit, all guns in that turret are damaged)

Currently we only have limited hitbox mechanics that disable the whole turret when critical damage is inflicted, but obviously we're aiming for a more complex hitbox structure at release. Whether that will include a separation between all the guns in a turret still remains to be seen.

Considering that engagements in WoWS can take place at extreme ranges near the 30+km mark there is limited use for a typical scope sight. That being said, there is a "binoculars"-type zoom mode in the game which can be quite effective in close engagements against ships with a tall/large silhouette.

I don't know the exact answer to these yet - especially for questions related to nations other than USN and IJN. The reason being that I haven't had my pilgrimage to St Petersburg yet, so I'm not in the loop for the latest decisions on game design (confirmed ship trees etc.). I always try to get you this kind of info, but it takes a bit of time, since we're busy with technical stuff atm.

That being said, the Tennessee class does seem to fit into tier 7 of the slow line, with improved armor over Pennsylvania. I can offer that as an educated guess for the time being.

Don't hold off on my account, I'll still try to get the answers to them. :)

Fletcher is currently slotted at tier 7. New Orleans heavy cruiser is slotted at tier 8 and the Kagero is at tier 9. Be warned though - everything can change and is open to review.

Im not sure if anybody already ask about this. I couldn`t find it.
Can you please tell me if Cleveland and Worcester class light US cruisers are planed to be in game? If they are, which tier would this two classes be? Thanks for answer in advance. :honoring:

Yes, they are planned. Can't be more specific atm.

will there be any kind of interactive tutorial in the game , e.g  going through battle lines, roles of ship classes and such? or will it be every person for themselves?

Yes, we want to have a good tutorial, but I can't say what it will look like atm.

Could this work as an alternative Russian tier 8?

It certainly looks like it could work.

how long enough fuel in the aircraft?

Enough to fly at least half the map and come back to the mothership.

Wolud we have some completelly unbalanced and crazy ships in the game, like Kitakami cruiser with almost no guns, but 40 torpedo tubes or Engels destroyer with 305 mm recoilles gun?

Crazy - maybe. Unbalanced - we'll try to avoid that.

will there be voice comms available for alpha testers?

Depends on technical capabilities and task priorities. Personally, I don't think this is a priority, especially with a multilingual crowd of people.

Is there planned to be multi core cpu and SLI support?

Stay tuned for info on this topic.

It has been said that more than thirty ships has been rendered, with the following as examples
PG Erie, CL Catori, BB New Mexico, BB Nagato, BB North Carolina, BB Fuso, BB Iowa, BB Yamato, BC Amagi, CA New Orleans, CA Aoba, CA Baltimor, CA Takao, CA Des Moines, CV Zuikaku, CV Essex, CV Akagi, DD Kagero, DD Fletcher.

Do you know/could be awesome enough to find out if you don't what some of the other ships are?

And then you'll want to see those renders as proof?

Two questions:
  • Earlier warships used coal for their fuel. Because of that their smoke was more dense, darker and the ship was spotted easier from distance. Do you plan to implement this feature in the game?
  • I know that one of the reasons (not main but still) not to include submarines in the game was that submarins would need 3rd dimension (vertical not just horizontal like ships). How is this issue solved in case of carrier based aircrafts. Can you adjust their flying altitude manualy or its everything controlled by AI?
Thanks for the answers. :honoring:

1. We will see.
2. Currently, the AI controls the altitude of the aircraft (it varies by aircraft type).

Also, I got some answers to those questions. Here they are:

Q. Are the Ersatz Yorck class the tier 7 German Battle Cruiser class?
A. Most likely yes.

Q. What is the current tier 7 German BB?
A. ATM, it's the BC Scharnhorst.

Q. What is the current tier of N3?
A. This is being decided at this moment :)

Q. Could HMS Vanguard be a tier 8 Premium?
A. Nope. Vanguard is already in the main tree.

Q. Could Scharnhorst act as a bridge between the BC line and the BB line at tier 7?
A. That’s possible.

Q. Wyoming and Arkansas are in the same class, but you have said that they are two different ships in the tech tree. Is this still the case? If not what will be another tier 4 American BB, as they are a bit thin on the ground?
A. This is still the case.

Q. Previously it was said that the Fletcher class would be tier 7 or 8. Has any decision been made about it yet? (Same applies for Fletcher + "Kingfisher" Premium)
A. This is also still the case for both, but the exact tier is still TBD.

Q. What is the tier 5 and tier 6 for the 1st American Fast line?
A. Project-ancestor of Alaska.

Q. Is there planned to be multi core cpu and SLI support?
A. Yes, this is planned.

How accurate is this tech tree currently?

Pretty accurate, though some ships are a bit misplaced and many are missing. :)

Not planned.

two questions from me again:
1. Few days ago I read an article on WOWs blog about in game maneuvering of ships. I am interested how can you maneuver the ship, which buttons do you use? Is it only left and right with keyboard arrows like in WOT, or there are some aditional functions like using compass rose? I found compass rose to be very usefull in some other game. With mouse click on it you could determine precise course, which could be very usefull in comunication and coordination with your team (specialy in CW). Do you planing something like this? Or something else?

2. Someone from community wrote a post asking, what MM will tier 1 ships have, since in tier 1 is no arcraft carriers and no planes in general. So if you have only tier 1 ships in a battle you have very limitted detection capabilities. In such circumstances ships would probably need too much time to locate an enemy. How is this issue solved?
Thanks for answers in advance. :honoring:

1. Steering the ships themselves is generally done via WSAD + QE. Course plotting is not planned atm. In my personal opinion its not dynamic enough and/or changes the game too much into RTS mode (depending on the implementation).
2. We're currently experimenting with some options for tier 1, so I can't comment at the moment. But honestly, destroyer-class ships can reach the enemy in a fairly low amount of time - sometimes faster than it takes a battleship to ready and launch their scout planes.

Could you give examples of some of the misplaced ships please?

Kagero and Shimikaze should both be 1 tier lower according to current plans.

Of course, this might change. ;)
